We have all the opinions of real people like you who purchase the services and products of Troon North Golf Club (Golf) in the state of Arizona.
At present this firm gets a score of 4.4 out of 5 and the rating has been based on 144 reviews.
You must have seen that it has an average rating is really high, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may think that the valuation is very reliable. If many people have bothered to value when they are happy with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to set scores when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Golf belongs to the category of Golf club.
Love the outside patio over looking the golf course! Beautiful scenery, boulders, mountains, and wild life. Lots of delishious menu offerings, fabulous cocktails!! Smart attentive servers!! We are making this our go to spot for a relaxing dining experience!!!! Train North Dynamite Grille here we come!!!!
My favorite course. 10/10 perfect condition, great staff & good food. Can't wait to get back to the States to play it again.
course was challenging and in phenomenal shape with phenomenal views!
Awesome course, so meticulously maintained. Some of the elevation changes are pretty dramatic and the houses you'll see are incredible. The staff is great and helpful. Prices are high, but you get what you pay for.
Nice Public course with delightful club house dining.
Great food and service.
Wonderful golf course! Great views! But a group ahead of us was very slow. The caddies and marshals need to push pace of play. Also got hit into 2 times by the group behind us. With all the great courses in the area I will try to find a course with better pace of play even if that means playing a little less nice of a course.
With immaculate presentation and plenty of challenges in store for both your long and short game, the two championship courses at Troon North represent desert-style golf at its best. The visually stunning Pinnacle layout will test your golfing skills to the full, while also allowing you to enjoy many spectacular desert and mountain vistas.
Where to begin with Troon-owned golf courses?? Well, whatever golf courses Troon buys up... they take a step down. Not in green fees mind you. Green fees go up. Way up. Looking out for the customers goes down. The ones that pay the exorbitant green fees and get little in return. Golf is a detail oriented game. A good company is detail oriented. Troon is not. They cut corners to the unknowing tourists and ignorant golfers alike. Simple things for a high-end green fee like: golf ball AND club-washer on every golf cart (every other course-that is not Troon owned-does it...I wish I was kidding), GPS yardage on golf carts (it is the 21st century)...again every golf course that I have been to (not Troon owned) had GPS yardage, high markups for food & beverage (this is the real highway robbery)... I asked how much for a gin & tonic...$14 for a shot-and-half of gin...the cart girl said an EXTRA $2 for the tonic...I almost lost it on the poor cart girl, but she is not the one that sets the prices. Needless to say I went elsewhere to get my specialty drink AFTER my round. Lots of ground under-repair at Troon courses all. the. time...even in peak season. Under-performing greens for high green-fees. No ice...in ice chests (you have to ask...because they are not here to serve you). Bathrooms were in worse condition than some public park bathrooms. I could go on, but I am getting a headache from my underwhelming (yet again) experience at a Troon golf course. Troon manages some beautiful golf courses (which can be done without Troon), but owned by the ugliest of management. So much to charge, but so little in return. "Hoity-toity without the justification" is what one fellow golfing stranger I was paired with (not at a Troon golf course) said about Troon golf courses not too long ago. Troon is #1 at this...and that... it is what all the golf websites and magazines 'buzz' about...maybe that is where the high-end green fees go...because talking-the-talk and walking-the-walk is quite different... in application... and is a common, but very true, saying. Troon golf couses: #1 in meaningless hot-air-rankings, but last place in customer/member care.
Á unique golf experiencia, two beautiful course, tee time in advance
Had a great time playing golf with boys. Very friendly and helpful staff. Looking forward to coming back.
Pretty Decent. There are so many legit tracks in Scottsdale -Phoenix - Mesa it is hard to give it 5 stars.
The best course I have ever played! Staff were super friendly and pace of play was spot on!
Great Golf Get a way. Monument course was amazing. The views are outstanding. Great service as well.
Just got back to NY from participating in the Troon Challenge Nationals at Troon North. There aren't enough superlatives to describe this facility other than to state that the only thing that exceeds the great courses are the staff at Troon North. Without a doubt, they make you feel like a member in every way possible. Can't wait to return!
played the Pinnacle course on 9/12/13. first the whole GC is beautiful. the clubhouse and service are impeccable and the staff is great and very helpful. The Pinnacle course was beautiful and the holes and backdrops of the scenery was plain beautiful. The rest of our golf group gave it a 5 star rating and i would go back and play Pinnacle again and would love to play the Monument course the next time
Amazing all around. Played Beautiful, challenging course. Super friendly staff. Top notch conditions. Will be back next time I'm town for sure.
Wonderful golf course and elegant club house. We attended a wedding here and it couldn't be more perfect and beautiful. The grounds were exquisite, staff were friendly and helpful and those that were golfing were respectful and mindful in not making a scene during the wedding. The respectful desert decor accented the beautiful scenery. We had no direct interactions with the facility wedding coordinator but did see her working hard to make sure that the wedding went smoothly without any hitches. They appeared to make this a very memorable experience for our friends and by the continuous smiles and compliments on how beautiful the wedding was I'm sure they agreed.
Challenging course with breathtaking views. Great staff and amenities.
Phenomenal course, Beautiful Landscape, Friendly Staff! Course was manicured well, greens rolled fast and true, views were spectacular!
This is by far my favorite course.
Great scenery and food. Enjoyed the service we got and the whole experience. Prices are reasonable. Will be back.
I looked forward to playing this course with both of my son-in-laws from out of town. The experience was a travesty. The condition of the Pinnacle course was well below acceptable standards especially for the prices we paid. The pro shop told me before the round, the course was "not in the best conditions" so to make up for it, we were given a discount of a whopping 10%! Based on some reviews I've read - some other players were recently offered 15%, maybe some others more. . . who knows? It should have been 50%. A couple of fairways should have been labeled "ground under repair" in almost their entirety. As a resident of the area I wonder why their course was in such a poor condition when other courses I play are nowhere near the pathetic condition the Pinnacle was in. Don't worry Troon North - I'll never tee up another ball on your property . . . that feeling holds true with my SOLs. For those who want the experience of golfing the Troon courses. . . demand quality or the appropriate fee for what you're about to go play on.
Great golf, fast greens, delicious food at Dynamite Grille, Guinness on tap. Mémorable expérience.
Fantastic course. Memorable holes, especially the short par 4s. There are many great courses in Scottsdale, Troon stands out for service. We had a situation where our round was disrupted by a shot-gun tournament being dropped on us mid round (honest mistake). Clogged up the course However they responded quickly and acknowledged the mistake. They went out of their way to make it up and make sure we enjoyed the rest of our day. Great response and sign of quality. I’m coming back for sure.
First off, great food and pro shop. Beautiful, beautiful course, but when it got near sundown, the ranger WOULD NOT STOP following us. My foursome got held up earlier and were a little behind pace, but believe me, we were trying to make up the time. He followed us for a good 3-4 holes, even after we were JOGGING to our balls. On top of that, our tee time gave us maybe 3.5 hours to sundown on a really busy day. Almost ruined an otherwise fantastic round of golf.
The course is stunning and was in great shape for our round. The staff was mostly very nice, except for our starter (Pinnacle) who was either grumpy in general or having a rough day with everyone asking about their tee times. Booked an afternoon tee time with enough time to complete 18 holes if we could manage 4.5 hrs for the round. We showed up an hour early and after checking in at the pro shop and being told they were a little behind, but should be able to get us out at our scheduled time we went and hit some balls and putted while waiting. We weren't allowed to tee off until 45 minutes after our booked tee time. We were able to get in 14 holes before dark. I understand that things happen, but I have never had a tee time pushed like that and I feel it was a result of overbooking plain and simple. We sat and watched as people came from the pro shop and headed straight to the tee. My friends and I flew in from different parts of the country to play this course and while it was visually beautiful and in great shape the experience wasn't what we were expecting due to the delay. The website even states they are strict about the pace of play, which is why I believe they simply overbooked. There were no apologies given or attempts to remedy the situation.
BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL
Played both the Pinnacle and Monument courses in early December. Pinnacle was beautiful. Great layout. It's in the middle of a housing development but the houses are generally beautiful parts of the scenery. Very hilly but I think it's walkable and they have caddies here too. Course knowledge is important here as a number of fairways either end or pinch in after a certain yardage. Greens can be roller coasters. I'd wait to play here because the greens are new and they aren't in the best condition. They feel spongy with a hard surface underneath. Lots of pitch marks too. They ran quickly but they didn't look great. Monument course has a similar layout, but the fairways usually flow to the green which is nice. It also had some com rock formations in the middle of the fairways which can be a good or bad thing depending on who you are. Lots of space off most tees but more growth in the desert so it's harder to find your ball. It was my favorite of the two courses. Practice areas are good. Range goes uphill and the grass is okay. It's big though. The chipping green is good too but I didn't see a practice bunker. Putting green is good as well, just not enough space for the number of golfers here. Food was excellent. The shrimp tacos are delicious and my friend liked the ahi tuna sliders. They had a taco bar at the turn that was amazing. Drinking water everywhere of course. The staff does a really good job taking care of everyone. Tons of people working and helping. So tip them well! Conditions at Pinnacle and the two 6 hour rounds are what hurt the most. It was a tournament but that's no excuse to have two of the longest rounds I've ever had in my life here. Just brutal.
Excellent course. The best course in the Scottsdale area. Everyone was friendly and the course was in tip top condition. Def will be back.
Troon was awesome. Played both courses and they were in awesome shape. The views are ridiculous. Green roll fast and true. Both courses are so well maintained. Our caddy Chris Hatch was also super helpful. Good food at the restaurant and a properly run place. Well worth the money.
Well manicured course, but very disorganized pro-shop staff. We were double-charged for our round (maybe because we charged to our hotel and they assumed we wouldn’t notice?). Other issues upon checkin. Maybe it was a new trainee or something, but pretty bad customer experience.
This was the end of our trip and yes, the courses are probably the nicest (though Quintero was my favorite). The restaurant/bar is pretty nice with friendly people. My rating has to do with the golf staff, by far the most people available on the course/clubhouse from any other golf course we play and yet, the customer service was not good. No direction, get your cards (if you can find them), carts dyeing on round 2 - I expected more.
Golfed at the end of September and the course was is horrible shape, especially for the rates ($175 Cdn). Burnt fairways, heavily pocked greens and very dry. Food service was painfully slow and cart girl was around only once per 9 holes. Played at the TPC Champions (it was $70 Cdn) and was 3X the course for less than half the dollar mount. Extremely disappointed as this used to be a premiere course and in immaculate shape. Beware if you are nearing the overseeding season as Troon does not seem to not care too much for their customers experience, just for your money.
Great food and great golf!!! Pinnacle side is very demanding and a definite placement course... Leave the Driver in the bag, you ain't gonna need it! Monument side is more forgiving, but definitely not easier. Still hit more irons from tees than I ever have! Would definitely play again and again!
Beautiful course and friendly staff.
Troon North is a wonderful facility & both courses are top notch. I have lived in the Phoenix & Scottsdale area for 15 years and consider Troon North one of the very best courses here. I regularly play here as I live in the area in Pinnacle Canyon (Monument Course) and the terrain and area is absolutely beautiful. Both course have impeccable care & a lot of very memorable holes. After playing ALL of the Private clubs in Scottsdale, I would consider Troon North as one of the top. Only two things I can add, I wish they have a little better pricing for locals even with the Troon Card. Cheney on the beer cart is awesome, as is Stuart in the main Bar/Restaurant. Dynamite Grille, Food is great, especially the new Kale/Quinoa salad! Yum, Overall in short, I <3 Troon North.
Beautiful
Ate at the Dynamite Grille. Everyone was satisfied with lunch. Prices range from 9 to 15 dollars for sandwiches and burgers. Excellent chips and salsa
Fantastic.
I have played this course a couple of times and it is spectacular. This is desert golf at its best. Greens are immaculate and customer service is top notch. I'd highly recommend playing this course if you are looking for a special experience in Arizona.
Came here with my friends for a round of golf. One of the most beautiful golf courses I have ever played. Everything about it was pristine - from the tee boxes, to the fairways and greens. Also a lot of nice scenery and houses along the course.
Course is stunning. If you can hit the 150 pole you will do well, if not, you will do poorly.
Very friendly, staff in the golf shop and on the range.
Not worth the money!!! We got a deal on a foursome and 4 after-round clubhouse 19th hole meals. Well, we finished our round well before sunset and yet the clubhouse was CLOSED - never got 4 meals worth of our package!!! WHAT A RIPOFF!!!! Course was OK, sand traps are in terrible form, no basements, greens are chunky, overall far from impressed. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO TROON!!?!??!?!!?!
very tight. premium accuracy rather distance. Greens are fast true. Great setting and friendly staff
Really good golf course, not a bad hole in the bunch. Tees, fairways and greens in excellent condition. Friendly, professional staff. AAA+++
A very nice club with extremely good course!
Simply amazing...Pricey but well worth every cent
True to the Troon name thier signature course did not disappoint. It delivered stunning views and very interesting shot choices. Pinnacle and Monument are a must play!!!
Definitely one of my favorite golf courses in Arizona! The layout and condition of the course are spectacular, definitely worth the price!
Pretty course in great shape and the staff was super friendly and helpful.
Love Troon North
Course was in excellent condition. Staff was great. Course is pretty difficult.
Over read !
Logo ball design is Fair.
Troon North was all around probably the nicest course I have ever played. Doug Hammer gave us a group lesson that provided basic individual tips that helped each of the four of us tremendously. The course is a work of art. And it is more forgiving than we thought it was going to be. We played the monument course, it was an amazing day. Lunch was excellent too and great service. Would highly recommend this course.
Great place for a wedding! Beautiful views! Staff was very helpful.
If your in Scottsdale, you’ve got to play Troon North. It’s a first class course with landscaping you’ll never forget. You get the mix of Arizona Cactus combined with the finest fairways you’ll ever experience. And the staff makes you feel like royalty.
Pinnacle and Monument are both fine courses and are in excellent shape. Pinnacle is more challenging and interesting, but both are fine. Everything from the bag drop to the pro shop to the range to the restaurant is excellent. Great attitude from the staff. The Callaway Performance Center is led by Doug Hammond who did a great job helping me tune a set of clubs for my swing. Try taking a caddie. Helps with reading the greens and identifying best landing areas.
Beautiful golf course nestled in the mountains. Awesome views of the surrounding area with cactus’s and wildlife surrounding the course.
Try a margarita!
great golf course.. came here during super bowl weekend.. a bit pricey at $400 per round.. but the course is in VERY GOOD condition.. greens are smooth like glass..
Wow!
Played monument...a good target style course. Not in great shape. Definitely not worth the price. Go play one of the other 50 great courses in the area for half the price. I was disappointed.
The course is in great shape. Greens immaculate and fairway well maintained. It is a bit of a challenging course but within the range of an average duffer like myself.
Great course with some challenging carries over desert. Beautiful scenery, well maintained fairways. Greens still had some sand from overseeding but I'm sure it will be back to normal soon.
very good golf course.. greens are silk smooth.. service is very good.. a bit expensive but worth it
All out awesome setting and great staff!!!
Great track.
Great course and greens
Played the Pinnacle course, which was in good condition, and had an incredible experience. The scenery was awesome, a perfect desert course! The staff was also very friendly and helpful!
Played Troon North - Pinnacle last week. Phenomenal. Spectacular. The practice facilities are fantastic. The carts (with GPS) were perfect. The course was beyond description and the greens were challenging and rolled true. The pace of play couldn't have been better. By far, the best golf experience of my life (and during the one week golf tour of Scottsdale). The staff at a golf course / resort always plays a big part in enhancing the golf experience and the staff at Troon provided some of the best customer service that I have ever experienced. Beautiful Pro Shop. And thanks to the guys who took time (while arranging our bags) to explain how best to play the course; it really made a massive difference. If there is a better all 'round experience in Golf in Scottsdale, please, let me know. Thanks Troon!
Love this course but don't leave stuff in your cart you may not get it back. Staff was friendlier in past years the grill staff is still on par friendly and helpful
Troon North - Monument and Pinnacle courses are by far, the best public courses in Arizona. The staff, from the golf shop to the cart ladies, are supreme in customer service. The food from Dynamite Grill was awesome. We played in the afternoon, ran into plenty of wild life. Even a bobcat. The landscape was serene and breath taking. The views from each tee box was incredible. The course was difficult but really enjoyable. Weather you play in the heat of the summer or the cool of winter, the course is in pristine shape. Really looking forward to playing here again. If you have an opportunity to play either course, please do. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!
이 투룬골프장 멋있어요 풍광이 특별 합니다. 산꼭대기 에 숏홀 지나 내려다 보이는 모든게 감동이네요.
Very well maintained, service is excellent. Very welcoming. Thank you
Beautiful golf course. The practice facility seems to be in great condition. I highly recommend playing here if given the chance. The views seem to be spectacular from everywhere you are. I happened to catch an amazing sunset here and it is one for the books. It's a bit of a drive from Scottsdale town center, but it really is worth it to come up and play a round.
The course is excellent condition. The greens are very fast and true. Everyone is extremely friendly. We saw a bobcat, grouse, roadrunners and rabbits.
I just finished a club fitting at Troon North with pro Guy Shaw. I chose Troon North because they are one of the few Callaway Performance Centers in the country. This was the most enjoyable, informative, productive experience I've ever had at a golf club. The fitting session was conducted both indoors and out on the range and lasted for two hours. I was so pleased with the clubs and the experience that I decided to purchase the Callaway X-Hot set at a local Golfsmith near my home. When I mentioned this to Guy he informed me that he could match their price. Moreover, since they are a Callaway Performance Center they build the clubs to spec right on sight. I was able to pick them up the the next day! It gets even better. Although Iwanted to purchase both the irons and drivers, Guy saw that my swing with the woods needed some work and said it would be a disservice to sell me the woods before I corrected my swing. He assured me the my fitting stats would be different with a proper swing and I shouldn't spend the money until it was corrected. That's integrity! Fabulous experience......5-Stars!
Nice course. Greens were over played. Worse part was they didn't tell us it was cart path only until we pulled up to the first tee. Not cool. I wish they would have been more up front with this since I wouldn't have gone here if I had known it was going to be cart path only. Come on! Besides that enduring else was very nice. Not sure why it was cart path only everything on the fairways were in great condition.
Nice course, well maintained, excellent and friendly staff and service. For the price, once is enough for me. There are other courses in the area as good and better, with more picturesque setting and better value for money.
The best golf course in the area, no questions asked. Absolutely magnificent.
Great course, great staff and just a fantastic day. It was a great day except for the heat.
Played 07/04/13. Every employee treated us exceptionally well, course was absolutely beautiful, especially for a hot July sunny day. Very reasonably priced. Would play again in a heartbeat.
Great course, pretty tight. Well manacured fairways and greens. Great service.
Beautiful golf course.
Great lunch with a view
This place is what it's cracked up to be
Beautiful golf course with amazing views of the mountains, desert and downtown Phoenix. The grass is great looking and the 18-holes are very challenging and well laid out. The clubhouse and locker rooms were clean and modern. The drive from downtown Phoenix is well worth it to visit the TNS.
Great course and experience. Expensive but enjoyed it.
Family planned a large golf tournament there in August and the staff was rude with participants. While we pumped lots of revenue into their establishment during the off season we weren't treated in a respectful way. Will not ever return for any reason.
My buddies and I played Troon Monument on 01/15/2014. We went there based on reviews and photo's on the website. On our trip we also played both courses at We-ko-pa and Ancala country club. Troon was the most expensive but they have nice facilities and a great practice area. The course, tho, was not up to snuff for the price. It's a nice layout and very challenging but the greens were in terrible shape verses the other courses. I thought I was at a muny because the tee-boxes were very inconsistantly mowed and because of the hundreds of ball dents on every hole from people not repairing their marks...plus the mower lines on a couple holes left me thinking the greenskeeper mowed in total darkness. I would have been happy to play here for $65 but NOT the twilight $140! Oh, and if you don't like houses lining every hole on both sides, go somewhere else.
Terrible experience. Was to tee off at 12:30 backed up 45 min. From our booked tee time to play 4 holes was over 2 hours....not right for a supposedly 5star course. Needless to say we did not finish before night fall.
Well worth the drive and price! Majestic views, perfect greens, comfortable clubhouse atmosphere.
Dope track w/ challenging tee shots and awesome views. Pure Fwys & Greens. Highly Recommend!!
Great time great course
Had only 1 course open and charged full price despite cart-path only and greens that are not fully ready after being re-done...and it only took 5 hours to get through the 18 holes. Generally a good experience at Troon North but this was poor and they really need to ensure rounds do not drag on so long - ever - and it is stupid to charge players over $200 on a course that is not quite ready and restricted to cart-paths only.
Coming to Scottsdale this was to be my first experience on a desert course. Well from the moment we checked in at the bag drop I was impressed. Looking around at the layout and views which were breath taking. Unfortunately there was an long frost delay due to not normal weather for this area. However, after checking in we went to sit and grab a bite to eat. The young ladies that were working in the restaurant on 21 Jan were very professional and friendly. I had the breakfast burrito which had great flavor along with the side of thin sliced home fries. The prices were reasonable. We went to hit some balls on the range but we were asked if we wanted to head out with another twosome. So we took the shot and started off on a great adventure. This course was truly amazing from the start. The fairways were impeccable, sand traps manicured, and the greens were 10 out of 10. The views throughout the course were truly awe inspiring. There was not a cloud in the sky and it was beautiful blue that accentuated the area around it. They have fore-caddies available for your round also. If you get a chance to play this course it is a MUST!!!!! What an experience!!!!!!
Great elevation
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING GOLF COURSE. PLAYED BOTH THE PINNACLE AND MONUMENT. YOU COULDN'T GO WRONG WITH EITHER. COURSES WERE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION FROM BOX TO GREEN. BEAUTIFUL VIEWS OF THE VALLEY ON THE MONUMENT. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND PLAYING IF YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY.
What first class operation. It's early Sept and the course was in Great shape. Staff was great.
