You must have seen that it reaches an opinions average is really high, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we can think that the evaluation is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to give their score when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to give reviews when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Golf belongs to the category of Golf club.
The experience was great the the field look amazing. Was here for Junior Achievement and the set up was great! Love the place!
I have many reasons for leaving a bad comment on this web page. This golf course is in great condition with the worst staff i have ever experienced in my lifetime! I went to use the restroom before my golf round on Saturday September 14th and it smelt horribly of weed. The only person in the restroom was a staff member named Andy I saw lounging in the bathroom! He was not working and looked to be under the influence. This is a shame because I have been golfing here for over 40 years and this staff is not fair to the quality of this course. Please fix this situation now you are loosing money because of your staff.
$75 to play a $40 course.. played 5 holes with the sprinklers going off on the greens, 4 holes with a cart that would barely run and a rude ranger that yelled at us for not having the carts in the path while we were behind the cart signs. I told the staff about our experience and he said what do you want me to do about it! Absolutely will never play here again, horrible experience. Trust the reviews, wish I would’ve
Great clubhouse
The Palms course was in nice condition and very scenic with all the palms and water. The pro shop was stocked with legit merch. My only complaint was the range. At 9:30am there was no grass left to hit from and no distances marked. All considered it was a solid golf outing at a decent value in Scottsdale.
Beautiful landscape beautiful people what else can you ask for
It's a beautiful golf course well maintained fun day
Fantastic course, definitely recommend. Greens were in great shape, fairways even better. Not too challenging of a course, didn't manage to donate too many balls. Great staff, would repeat.
The first couple holes were in good condition, but after that it was rough. Most of the whole were soaked with water in the fairways and around the greens. Greens were in pretty rough condition as well. I know we are at the time of the year when there is a transition in grass, but no other course I've been to was this rough. Greens were very rough as well. That said, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also, the contour of the course was good.
Its golf.. lol. You either kill it or get drunk.
We played the pine course. The fairways and greens were in great shape, but the rough was fairly dead. I expected better for prime AZ golf season (March).
I was there for a Leslie golf charity event. Fine Golf course very well maintained
Its ok.
Played the Palm course. Very challenging and a lot of fun. Greens are in great shape.
This is a really nice place
We hit a basket of balls on the range before our round. The check in staff was friendly. We played 18 holes in under 4 hours, which was a nice change from some of the other courses in town. Greens were in good shape, some of the water holes were a bit challenging on the palm course.
Course in great condition. Very helpful staff. A must visit.
Great place for a weekend trip with kids. Train ride and carrousel are inexpensive and well maintained. Scale train museum is a must. Good place for a picnic and for outside family to see.
This a favorite golf course. 72 holes so it doesn't get so busy. Not a lot of desert on the course, which is great. The pricing fluctuates but its usually lower than similar quality course. The course is walkable too. And it has a very good practice area.
We had a great time at the 98 KUPD Heat Stroke Open! Thanks McCormick Ranch for being so awesome! The only thing I would have changed was to have more servers in the bar. It was very crowded and only 1 bartender and 1 server.
Had the opportunity to photograph a wedding here in May. Great team to work with! Very friendly and kind and helpful. My bride and groom loved them as well! It was an all-around top notch day and a lot of that was thanks to the incredible team! The views here are gorgeous right on the water and the mountains! It's an awesome location to get hitched.
The course layout is nice especially off the tips, however I was very disappointed with the quality of the fairways, bunkers, and greens. Probably in the worse shape of all courses I've played in Phoenix (out of 20 or so courses). Pace of play yesterday was slow (5h round) and our three ball was waiting on every shot. We asked at 9 if any rangers were out (seemed to be the third group Infront which was holding up play) they said they weren't any at that time, and we commented on the standard of the course considering the price, and they weren't apologitic at all. Wouldn't recommend playing this course until the course conditions are rectified. Shame as from the tips it's a fun course design.
Love this Wedding Venue! Beautiful views, delicious food and extremely friendly staff!
Nice spot to wind down
Liked the course. Staff were great.
Busy. Play in the afternoon for less of a crowd and cheaper green fees. Nice course; the ground is dry, so the ball rolls forever, which can be either a good or a bad thing...
They have 2 courses and a nice practice facility. The courses are not always in good shape but it is worth playing. There is plenty of water on both courses which can make it scoring difficult.
Great view. Great service. Great food.
This was a great place for a medium to large breakfast event! Beautiful setting! Excellent service! Delicious good! Good service!
Very nice course.
Beautiful greens and top notch pro shop.
awesome course but they need more water stations. Slow service but usually always good service
Great price.... To much play as a result. Waited on every hole... Greens rolled decent, but were highly hallmarks.
Course was in excellent shape minus the lack of ball repair on the excellent greens. Play speed was a little slow, but overall, surface was in great shape, price was right and nice place to get a round in.
Between Josh in the proshop and the starter bob f this place is a joke. Slow play, rude service, apparently other people have privileges us over us full paying customers. If you want slow play and a horrible experience call now! I'm sure Josh will hang up on you too! Thanks Josh!
Very good service, golf course fairly open and in very good condition except for the greens, apparently no one fixes ball marks so they are pitted
Big greens, roll great. Fairways tight but fair. Staff got us in and going. No complaints. Great restaurant too. Had the three egg omelet for lunch.. thumbs up.
Glorious, really.
Charming and busy! Mexican food restaurants are a matter of what your used to, I think the food was not good compared to restaurants I have been to. But the waiting was long, all the seats were full. So there you go.
Good course for the money. The tee boxes and fairways were in good shape. The hole placement on the greens were brutal. Other than that, it was a fun course to play.
Had a great 18 holes here on the palm side. The pine side was closed, so the course was a bit crowded. Lots of water to avoid, so it was challenging for my level of golf.
My son in law and I played 3 rounds on the Palm Course last week while visiting Scottsdale for Spring Training. We had a great time. Very personable staff. Course was in great condition. Loved it and will be back for sure. Thank you for making our golf experience everything we had hoped for.
Course is worse than an average muni. Average fairways and greens, dead yellow hardpan rough, goofy layout. Worst range I've ever seen, no grass at all to hit off. I'll not play here again. Service is good though, employees are attentive & nice.
It’s a great time. Love the staff.
Loved the course. Not too difficult. Very playable.
Good instructors
Gorgeous course. Well maintained and staff was awesome
Very nice
Carpets were VERY dirty in restaurant. They do not have any steak/sharp knives even when serving prime rib. Buffet food was left out too long and stale. Only plus was the servers were courteous and attentive.
Course is nice but management of play is lacking. Maybe just a particularly bad draw but our 4some was waiting a minimum of 5 up to 10 min each hole through all 18. Marshall was by multiple times and no help.
Very nice golf course!!
Both courses are a fair test of golf. Be careful of too long of drives on some water holes on the palm course. Friendly helpful staff.
Great spot for families and all.
Great course. Really a pretty spot we had a grand time! It's nice that they rent clubs but $60 was a little steep... Super nice place though.
Palm & Pine are beautiful courses. Problem is T's are not marked making sever of them VERY confusing and difficult to find.
Great golf course! The rate was definitely worth the round. The beverage cart ladies however were not so great. Both times we bought shots for one of our friends playing in the group behind us, the beverage ladies didn't give them to him. Pretty messed up.
Beautiful!
The patio at the clubhouse is FANTASTIC. Green grass, right by the lake, geese flying around and a beautiful view of Camelback mountain. Food is great and the Martinis are 20 years ago prices. Love this place! Glad to be a local and hang out there whenever we want!!!
Absolutely beautiful!
This was a great place for a medium to large breakfast event!
Best breakfast. Fabulous views, good service.
Thank you McCormick Ranch and KUPD for another wonderful yr at the 2019 heat stroke open!!!! Love you guys
Played the Palm course. I wanted to play the Pines, but it's apparently being overseeded. Greens and fairways were in decent shape, but everywhere else was spotty and patchy. My local muni (Aguila) has better conditions, no joke. The rough had tons of dirt and bare spots, which was super disappointing for a course with greens fees of $50+ in September. Also, duck droppings everywhere, including on the greens. The course itself was rather uninteresting. With the exception of hole 9, most of the holes were forgettable. I want to come back because I've heard good things about the Pines, but I'm not so sure now.
Enjoyed the long challenging course, but did not enjoy the day. Paid full rates on a Fri morn. Club grossly overloaded the course which played like b-rated muni-course filled with slow 5-somes and even players sharing clubs. Really, McCormick? We won't go back...but they have more than enough fools who will so can't imagine they'll miss us.
Outstanding wedding venue.
Some interesting holes greens fast but course seemed very overused. So many pitch marks. Booked a tee time of 2.08 weren't called forward until 2.30 didn't start until 2.40. Nearly 3 hrs to play the front 9. Sunset at 6.30. Didn't finish the course. Feel cheated and then the bar was shut.
Difficult into the sun on the range. Tan grass no help
As good as any course in the valley...for such a good price:). Challenging greens.
Was there for a few minutes a month or two ago. It’s decent lol. The locker rooms and such are fine. There are saunas like most normal places lol. One of the 911 calls was from there after they took my phone away the first time so I couldn’t call my family. Jenny probably heard part of that one. Also the boys have some passport thing as well because of this so... :/ MEDICALLY ILL AND IN RENAL FAILURE SHOULD BE HAVING DIALYSIS AND HAVENT.
Always love playing this course. Palm Course is my favorite and is always in good shape. Nice desert landscaping on the back. Only downside are all the dang geese
Visited here for Rotary. Absolutely beautiful views of the lake, green, and nearby mountains.
.great
Course in ok shape, but way too many birds and used bird food all over the course! Unfortunately, $100/round is too much for this track.
A wonderful place to play golf in Phoenix. Played Super Bowl Sunday Morning.
Course in excellent shape! Greens rolling true, tee box to green full and lush! For summer golf you cannot ask for better conditions especially for how dry this season has been. Ron in the pro shop was professional and very informative, outside service was also professional and willing to help from the time you arrive to the time you exit the 18th hole. Thank you for an awesome experience will be back again soon.
Have played here a few times. Fun courses. The Palm Course is my favorite.
The course is a decent 3 star, but 3.5 hour back nine with no ranger ruined the round. We were the 4th group out in the morning, front nine played 2 hours, but back nine was waiting 10 minutes on each shot. If the 3 groups ahead of us start the morning could play the front in 2 hours, then why did it take 3.5 hours for the back nine and no ranger? Poorly managed, won't return.
Great course, well maintained and beautiful! Amazing staff, from Director to the guys in the club house, drink gals.. everyone is fantastic! I played well, so that helps too! One of the best in Arizona for sure!
2 good courses, knowledgeable staff and support crew, pricey but worth it.
Great course, always a joy playing it and the staff is very helpful and nice. I liked so much I donated a few balls in the water in the picture!
Always a good day for golf!
The two courses are well maintained and the price is right, as they're on the less expensive end of the spectrum. The issue for us was it was too cold to play at 7:20am and the greens were very inconsistent, having just been overseeded. All in all, a good value and conveniently located.
Excellent. Well maintained. Challenging, fun and interesting. Excellent clubhouse amenities.
3/5 for very good reasons. Course: played the non resort style course. Simple layout. Nothing to write home about. Not too challenging. Not in phenomenal condition either. Greens were rolling a bit slow. 9 on the stimp I’d say. 3/5 Practice facility: Again, greens not doing too good as of Aug 12 2019. Probably rolling a 7-8 on the practice green. Really bad. Couldn’t even practice. 2/5 Customer service: I’ve had cart guys be plain rude to me here before. Like they don’t want to be there. Just not pleasant to interact with at all. 2/5. Facility: Old clubhouse. Could use updating. 3/5 Events: Often times events are happening in the evenings. Kinda weird putting next to people getting married. 3/5
Value course. Not bad in the winter when everything else is $100+. Palm and Pine are about the same. They let us play an extra 9 for free.
Nice layout. Greens too sloopy and hard to approach. Fairways ok but rough is not maintained very well. Still a fun course.
Good ambience and perfect setting for meeting
Avoid this course until maintenance improves. There are so many better options. We played the Palm course and the back 9 fairways were completely burnt out. In many places I was hitting my approach shot off of dirt or mud. Would never come back. Check out the recent reviews on Golf Now. This appears to be an ongoing problem for several months. Sorry I did not see those. I would have played somewhere else.
Great course to play grass is green. Greens in good shape staff really helpful. Good food and beer. Nice driving range and putting green.
Nice courses in the heart of Scottsdale. The island green on the pines course is always a challenge.
Great course. Great service. Highly recommend
Course in reasonable shape. Not enough water stations on course
Nice course, well kept.
Wonderful day out and an awesome course!
Always pleasant, spotless, serviceGuests are never hurried; attentive, food delicious(each French fry perfectly done!)Indoor&outdoor dining with views of course&Camelback Mt.Relaxing atmosphere, bar service available.Marvelous place to share with visitors&friends!
If you can get a great price for this course it's a good golfing experience!
Beautiful golf course.
The wedding we attended was beautiful and the transitions from different venues was flawless
It is so tranquil and beautiful here!!!
One of the finest courses ever played... Staff was the best and course was challenging yet not intimidating
The team here did an excellent job with my sister's wedding. The views and sunset were to die for and we had a blast. Beautiful setting for a wedding.
I love coming here. We always go here for our work holiday party and its awesome. The food is to die for!!!!
I love this place! Come for breakfast of lunch! Tell them I sent you.
Absolutely amazing course!
Good venue for breakfast or a wedding
1st time playing here...for hot and humid July AZ day with massive rain the night before the course still played wonderful. Some standing water(unmarked water hazards) but nothing that made any hole unplayable. Great experience and challenging but not to a point of frustrating. (My game is all the frustration I need)
Relaxing
This is a beautiful golf course! I came here with my boyfriend and we had a terrific round. Everyone was very helpful and the course was in great shape.
Great way to escape with friends
Company party ,great location, the food was.just Awsome and the service was outstanding
Overall great experience. The only critique I have was the greens were lightning fast. Putting downhill was near impossible without it rolling 10-15 ft past the hole.
Course is in good shape and the views are great. It would be a five star but the driver range was too muddy from where we were practicing
Course is in good shape, besides the downed branches. Greens were slow and rough is thick. Hard to find your ball in the rough.
If you are the right customer, they treat you great but if you’re not then you’re ‘not a priority’ to them.
I play fairly often during the summer and have always been impressed by the customer service the staff at McCormick Ranch provides. Having been in the customer service business myself for most of my working years I appreciate individuals who go above and beyond; I am being taught a new level of service the staff at McCormick Ranch provides, impressive and I for one appreciate all they do in a business where complaints often override the good the staff does. For the first time I allowed myself a treat, trying to watch my waistline I do watch what I eat but today I ordered from the grill. Chicken tenders with French fries. I could not believe just how tasty the food was. I wasn't starving but as I had a medical test earlier I had not eaten. The tenders were just that, tender, with just the right amount of crunch. The French fries were a tad too salty but that was my doing as I should have requested the fries lightly salted. The chef/cook provided a garnish of lettuce and a tomato slice. The tomato slice was not a thin slice but a healthy one. I rubbed the salt off some fries onto the tomato and enjoyed every single bite. This may not sound like a big deal, but it is relevant in that the staff pays attention to the little things, the little details which make or break a business. Kudos. Keep up the fantastic work!
Thanks, Stormwind studios for a awesome party
Nice course but it is covered with goose poop which is impossible to miss so not healthy
Love the beauty displayed on the porch or thru the windows of the golf course restsurant ...See greens ....and a lake with Camelback mountain in close view. The staff are friendly and the salads and sandwiches are very good.
Worst course to play in the Phoenix area! Don't waste your time or money here-Called the pro shop with inquires multiple times and the gentleman in the golf shop "Josh" was extremely rude and unprofessional- hung up on me each time. The staff was so unpleasant I will never return back here. My husband and I play courses all over the PHX metro area and I promise you there are much better experiences that you will have then at McCormick ranch golf club. Try Starfire!
Great value.
What a great time. Got paired up with 2 police officers and had a great time
Just played there this morning. Course was fine, but I'm still in shock over being shamed by the woman who drove the beverage cart. I bought water and a Snickers from her at the turn, $6, tipped her $2. Around hole 14, she came around and I bought a water, $3. Since I had tipped her 35% the first time and only had three $1s left in my pocket, I only gave her $3. She looked at it and said, "You forgot the gratuity." I asked if that was required and she said yes. I dug out my wallet and handed her a $10. Instead of giving me change back to decide what amount to tip her, she just returned $8...I guess her thinking must be that her high level of customer service was worthy of a 66% tip. What if I only had $3 left on me...would I not be able to buy a $3 water? Next time I'm back in Scottsdale, I'll be playing a different course.
Very muddy beautiful fun course
One of the best courses in Phx for the price. Great practice facility too.
Menus were dirty, food was adequate. You are paying for the view
Decent value. There are better courses out there but at this price it's a good deal.
Didn't golf this time, just had breakfast in the grill. Good food, good service and great views of the lake.
Nice course, fantastic youth golf program
Awesome Mother's day brunch!!!
This whole facility is amazing, but my review is specifically regarding the staff. From my experience, every team member goes above and beyond in order to make sure your needs are met. We had some rain and had to call the day short, the staff was more than happy to give us a rain check and provide us with a free round of 9 the week later. I would highly recommend coming here weather rain is in the forecast or not;)
Very nice. Excellent service for our large group of hungry cyclists. Thanks!
Beautiful greenery!! I love to golf!!
Obviously people who say this course is in nice shape have never played a nice course. Greens hard. You can hit a nice shot be three feet off green and your hitting off sand. The only birdie I got was hit a coot on a hole. Will never be back.course looks nothing like pictures.
Great course and practice facilities.
Always can get on, course in decent shape, and staff are always friendly
Nice course very well maintained
Beautiful golf course! We went to a wedding and had a lovely time, good food and nice venue.
It 100 degrees + out here on the course during a kids golf tournament and they've got a $25 minimum purchase at the snack bar if you want to freaking bottle of water. I know you guys need every dollar out there including the 15% it cost you to run a debit card on a bottle of water but that's ridiculous
Nice golf course
Fun track. Well run.
We played golf at one of the courses available here; The Palm, which was fun and very well groomed! The scenery was very nice with water present! The greens were in great shape and made putting enjoyable! We ate at the golf club restaurant and the service and food were terrific! Definitely making a return trip to golf and get food!
Great breakfast with an exceptional view!
Great course. Pretty greens and good amenities.
Great course. A little thin in areas but overall very nicely kept.
Great breakfast with our out of town friends Mark Mason and Deanna.
Course was extremely fair and in good condition.
Good course to play.
Layed on Easter morning. Course was in good condition fairways and greens all in good shape. Bunkers were hard and compacted and looks like they were just with by sprinklers. Greens felt like that ran slow. But all in all was a great day.
McCormick Ranch used to be a pristine golf environment. Now it is below most municipal courses. I am so disappointed. Ownership and management must not care and believe it doesn't matter. Too bad. I won't be back.
great course and views for the price
Always enjoy playing their courses!
The course is fairly well keep (otherwise it would have been one star), but they are overrated for there price! We golfed there Saturday this last weekend and it took us nearly 6 hours to play 18. It seems like it is more about making money than a quality golf experience. Every hole was backed up and the "ranger" did nothing to expedite play. They pack as many people on the course as possible regardless of how it affects the players. There are other courses in the area that cater far better to the customer's experience. I can't in good conscience reccomend this course.
We attended a wedding reception here. The reception was held next to a golf course and lakes. Beautiful setting. We enjoyed our time there.
McCormick Ranch is such an amazing venue to work with! Thank you guys so much - what an incredible experience all around! HIGHLY recommended if you're getting married in Scottsdale!
Went to a Christmas party here. Had some difficulty finding exactly where we were supposed to go, but once we got there the news were nice and the food was delicious.
Great course.. Great staff.
In the past I would have given this course a 4 or 5. This time it had been over seeded and the grass was uneven throughout the course. Greens, fairways and tee boxes were all that way. Add in cart path only golfing and it made for an over priced day of golf. Disappointed this time with the experience here.
