Much different than the lower 48 golf wise. The permafrost makes the ground sound hollow and maybe a bit bouncy, definitely harder than normal. I heard they only water the greens which makes for a less than appealing view of the rest of the golf course. Overall, its a nice golf course.

Beautiful layout on creek course. Lots of trouble for wayward tee shots, but beautifully groomed fairways when you do find one. Nice and green! Loved it!

Pretty ridiculous showing by the Marshall when he continually proceeded to let the foursome in front of me and my father in law continue to play at an unbelievably slow pace after several pleas to let us play through since nobody was ahead of them. Once we were on the 18th hole the gentleman we were waiting on thought it was a great time to get animated and aggressively let us know that he is one the Marshall's, and began to harass us. Once we finished the round we went in to let the front desk know we being harassed by a Marshall playing the course, they said thanks for letting us know. Classy staff for sure.

First time at JBER Moose Run Golf Course as a new participant in the PGA Hope Program in partnership with the Alaska VA. The course is beautifully maintained and majestic in its splendor and blending with the natural forests. The course is lightly populated with golfers and there is no wait for tee times. This is a definite must go for golfers in Anchorage.

Greens were in awful shape. It's is very spread out. Don't plan on walking. Not sure what the sand was. But it was very rocky. They charged $69 up $10 from their normal "guest" rate because of the holiday. At the courses where I play regularly guests pay $47 and the courses are in considerably better shape. We stopped by anchorage golf course to get clubs re-gripped and their course seemed in much better shape for cheaper prices. We did see a moose and scenery is good so that saved some stars

It's right off the highway and the driving range has pretty good capacity, with hole pin flags set up. It's not very long range though.

Beautiful scenery. Not much rough between the fairway and woods. Course is very dry and firm, so the ball runs a mile. Greens are very patchy and bumpy, 2 stars for the greens. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Beautiful golf course, we had a great time. Didnt give it five starts because the greens were super slow, it was hard to hit your putt so hard. The fairways were nice and wide but if you went off of them, you may not find your ball. We kept looking for bears after hearing locals talking about always seeing one while playing. We are kind of glad we didn't see one!

The fairways and greens aren't that great. To much wild life on the course. Trying to hit your ball and looking for wild life around you.

I am a long time customer of the restaurant and have been happy with the food and service. Today we went for lunch with family and were very disappointed and actually left without eating our food. Our order was not correct from the kitchen, the soup was very cold - like just out of the fridge cold, the fish tacos had little to no recognizable fish and were also cold. This had been a go to spot for us. Too bad things have degraded to this.
