I don't like to leave reviews with negativity but there a couple things that I have to say about this golf course. First the layout is excellent. I loved the holes. The problem was that this place could be a "top-notch golf course but it's not in the best shape. The greens were all burnt out looking and had been sanded. They were however lightning fast which took awhile to get used to since the practice putting green was much slower. (This is also a pet peeve of mine). The greens fees were decent. I got a rate of $27 for 18 holes and a cart which is very good. The problem is that we're on vacation and needed to rent clubs. The rental clubs were trashed, dirty and old. Oh, and it cost me $40 per set. (We needed two). So $56 for golf and carts for two, $80 for clubs?!?!, WTF? and by the way, no balls or tees included. Tack on another $30. For those. I'd probably golf here again because it was a nicely laid out course. Hopefully the greens keepers can do a better job taking care of the course. Oh the sand traps were very consistent which was nice. .

Played here while vacationing at the beach. The staff was friendly and the course was nice. Fairly wide open course. My games was off that day. Otherwise it was a great experience. Several bunkers to deal with.

I’ve golfed on many golf courses when traveling. The course was ok. I rented clubs and a cart and this is the first time there were no complementary tees or a sleeve of golf balls. The woman at the pro shop took my credit card and when I came back after golfing I ask for my card and she ask me where the rented clubs were before she would give me my card. I had driven to a building and left the cart and clubs there per directions. I have never had a golf club keep my card. In fact everywhere else I have golfed I was given complimentary balls, tees and was even picked me up and taken back to the hotel by the club staff I won’t golf at this course again when I visit. I was charged more than quoted over the phone, treated like a thief and in general no one was professional.

My wife and I played this course for the first time today. The course was nice for the money. However our experience was not pleasant. There were two foursomes in front of us causing the round to go slow. Which wasn't a problem for us. My wife is newer to the game and this gave me time to help her line up her shots and her posture and suggest what clubs to hit. We were not playing slow, in fact we had to wait on each tee box 3-4 minutes for the group in front of us to clear out. Halfway through the front nine the marshall came by and said the group behind us called and complained that i was giving my wife instruction and that we were "holding everybody up" I told him we couldn't play any faster than the group in front of us and we were having to wait 3-4 minutes on each tee as well. So it wasn't us that was holding the group up. Apparently this wasn't satisfactory enough for him and he told me to try and stay up with the group in front of us and they had a driving range if I needed to give instruction and to pick up her ball and move on if we had people waiting on us. I found these responses to be rude and unacceptable especially after i explained the situation. We payed our money the same as everyone else and I feel as if we were treated unfairly. This incident ruined what was supposed to be a nice day out with my wife and we will not be visiting this course again.

Would give it four stars except I can't believe they charge for driving range balls. Clubhouse was nice, drinks and menu items were very reasonable. Staff is excellent.

Have played this course twice within the last two weeks and found it outstanding. Clubhouse staff are pleasant and helpful. On course personal are a joy to deal with. My only complaint is I wish the rangers would deal better with slow play. I will, hopefully, play this course several more time in the next few weeks Strong recommendation for this course.

Golf course isn’t bad. Good layout. Greens stay in good shape. Price may be a little high, but prices in this area run higher. My biggest compliant is I had a Nixon range finder stolen from the pro shop evidently by an employee and no one seemed to care.

Great value and the staff is so friendly especially starter Jerry. Played last Thursday with my son in law and my youngest daughters boyfriend. . Love the course design and they keep it in good shape. Green are great too. Will be back next year when we return for our vacation.

I'm building a clubhouse for my 4 yr old son. My neighbors don't like the idea and work for the golf coarse and they are allowed to build a huge building to store an rv without get permission...they have double standards and pick on certain people residence while letting others do what they want...I'm not gonna tell my 4 yr old he can't have a clubhouse

Staff was rude. 8 handicapper treated like a first-timer. Marshalls were rude and unhelpful. Worst and most confusing layout I've ever seen. Will NOT go again even if I win free greens fees. I'll give them away!

One of the top 5 golf courses anywhere in the southeast portion of the United States. Total of 27 holes, so there's always a course waiting for you to tee off. Wonderful diner inside the clubhouse, as well as a good cart that makes rounds to all corners of the course. Wonderful scenery & every level of difficulty from the par 3's to the massive par 5's. I would highly recommend visiting this course, whether you're on vacation or business.

I played the Dunes course and the Lakes course. The Dunes was incredible and fairways and greens were awesome! Some of The greens on the lakes weren’t in near as good shape as the Dunes but still a great course. Don’t know much about the Vista course. I went after 3 pm and paid $38 for green fee and cart! A great deal! Will definitely play it again!

I have played golf all over the country, I am 56 years old but today October 8 2018 I had the worst experience with the golf shop check-in host I would not recommend this golf course to anyone even if it was free one word describes this guy and my experience SUCKS.

Golf course was in terrible shape fairways were soaked and rotted grass clippings surrounded the greens from where they didn’t clean up. When telling some of the workers their responses were “it’s just a tourism thing” so save your money, plenty of other beautiful courses to play at. If zero stars were an option that would be my rating.

both practice putting greens have what looks like fungus on them as well as on a number of greens, fairways, and rough. a lot of dead spots in every part of the grass of the course. too many tee boxes are too small and not flat but have a domed shape, and there are different types of sand in the traps, one has no sand in it. understaffed, over prices, and not worth the time
