If you had to choose one Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail course to represent and define all the others, then Cambrian Ridge might well be your choice. Within this 27-hole layout the outstanding Sherling and Canyon nines contain many of the characteristics frequently found on the Trail: a splendidly natural woodland and lakeside domain, lots of undulating ridges and valleys, all of which is utilised to superb effect to provide a raft of memorable, challenging and scenic golf holes.

This is the best apartment complex in Greenville, Alabama. They have units that face the forest and make you feel like your living in a peaceful paradise They have a mini laundry mat so that its convienent if you do not have a washer and dryer. If you do have a washer and dryer all of their units have hookups. The rent is affordable and the management team is very polite and friendly.

Can I give it 10 stars? I have been playing here since around the mid 90’s and have never regretted a trip there. The course is always immaculate even during difficult weather. This course drains wells. 2017-2018 their were many improvements including a redo of all the greens. “Improvement” is a key word. I didn’t think there was much that could be done to improve a spectacular course but I was wrong. This is one of the most scenic courses on the RTJ Trail. The views are unbelievable and unexpected given the location. Wildlife galore. I love this course for many reasons. It is uniquely challenging, a little different hole layouts than other courses. I like that it is a 38 minute drive from Montgomery to a great, UNCROWDED championship golf course. It’s so laid back. Peaceful. The pro-shop is one of the biggest and most well stocked on the RTJ Trail. The course is made up of 4 separate 9 hole tracks, 3 championship and 1 par 3. Short Course, Loblolly, Sherling and Canyon. Put 2 championship courses together for 18. It’s an older RTJ Trail course, one of the original courses. Newer courses have 18 hole tracks.

I played the Sherling 9 first, and for me it was stunning. I was with a party of 8 and we all pretty much agreed. There also isnt many better ways of having a drink than on the verandah after. Breathtaking. I played rubbish by the way, but it didnt, and shouldnt matter. Im coming back this June and give it another go!

One of my favorite places to play on the RTJ Trail. After booking in the middle of a tournament. Brian, the course director, really did everything he could to take care of us. He let us play the other 9 while the tournament was going on and let us play the other 18 when it was done. He also put lunch on his tab to make up for it. It was the best service I have ever received on a golf course! I would highly recommend this beautiful place to play.

This is our third time here and first time to play without rain! Beautiful course. We are from Louisiana so the terrain was a challenge. We look forward to returning. We played all four courses. Sherling Lake was my favorite.

Awesome course! The weather was crazy when I went. Teed off in the rain and putted in sunshine. Some holes had 20 mph wind and others were no wind at all. Best part was that it never got muddy. So much that I didn't have to wash my shoes after. Each hole has it's own individual feel. Will definitely come back again

Considering how dry it has been, the course was in excellent condition. I think the fairways were the best shape I've ever seen them in the 20 years I've been playing here. The greens were good but not as good as I have seen them... but I'm sure attributed to dry weather. I still say this is the one if the best bargains in the whole state for a beautiful golf experience.
