When the dealership was owned by the Conn family I was extremely satisfied with it. Since Meade Tractor bought the dealership the quality of service has steadily declined. The work they do is still good, but some of the ways they do it. For instance I am an 80% service connected disabled vet. Prior to Meade when I required service they would pick up and deliver my tractor free. Now they charge me for that "service" and the last time I had to help them load the tractor. They have had my tractor for 11 days, today they called me and told me they JUST ordered the parts. I'll be using another company in the future.

I went to buy a riding lawn mower. The sales man had no interest whatsoever in selling me a mower. When asked about how a John Deere would react/handle...say on a hill like was on Bluefields location..the answer I got was:" ...Well with bigger guys like myself and you ,the transmission WILL fail"...my response: "Well why would I want to buy a John Deere?" At the end of the day I would have loved to owned a John Deere,but bought a competitor's brand instead.

Due to the weight of my existing string trimmer, me getting older, and my wife not being able to start a gasoline engine in the last 22 years, I purchased a BGA 56 Stihl battery powered blower along with an FSA 56 Stihl battery powered trimmer from Meade, in Green Valley, WV, this morning. I have about 20 minutes of trimming to do and 20 minutes of clean up with a blower. Like most I was somewhat skeptical using battery powered equipment in doing lawn work, but there wasn't the slightest problem with either one of these units. The blower worked fine and as far as I could tell the battery would have lasted at least 40 minutes, which I'm judging by its on-board battery indicator lights. Pretty much the same story with the trimmer, there was more than enough time on the battery to finish my yard. The trimmer would have lasted at least 30 minutes, again judging by its battery indicator lights. Here's a plus, that I didn't think about before I purchased these items and that is that they are much quieter than their gas eating cousins. I should also mention that I didn’t miss the gasoline exhaust fumes one bit. Be advised, if I run into a problem down the road with these Stihl 56's I will let you know, but as of today they both are keepers. I should take this time to thank Scott Coon for answering all my many questions this morning as I was trying to make up my mind. FR

Asked if I could get a mulch kit put on the deck of my tractor even though the deck was damaged. Was told that they could put one on and it would work but it may still let some grass thru. Got it home and it lasted a hot minute before falling off and getting chewed up. When I took it back I heard one mechanic say he told the mechanic that worked on it that it would never work. I asked the service manager for my money back and he said no because the mulch kit was damaged. It was damaged because they "rigged" it when they should've just told me it wouldn't work. I had already spent a lot of money there having it serviced and a new seat etc...I will never buy there or take it back for servicing.

Love dealing with Meade I've got quite a few things here over the years. Just bought a new Stihl chain saw from Scott today. He did the assembling an put gas in the saw an made sure it started before I walked out the door with it. Scott and all the sales team there are always ready to help greeting ya at the door an offering professional help on all their products I highly recommend this place for all your farming needs

The man ( Scott ) whom I spoke with about buying the John Deere Lawn Sweeper was very kind and helpful. When he saw where some of the parts were not put on by the young man that assembled it Scott got the parts and put them on himself. I will advise anyone thinking of making a purchase at Meade's Tractor if you get Scott you have an awesome person to work with. I will deal there in the future as I have been doing.

Just bought a Honda lawn mower. Very impressed with the knowledgeable sales staff and the quick service. All of my questions were answered in a friendly, professional manner. Relieved that if I ever need any repairs done they do them right at their shop.
