I have relied on the knowledge of the friendly staff here on multiple occasions to assist me in my botanical endeavors, ranging from plant care and acquisition to quelling a fungus gnat rebellion. They have a great return policy and plant prices vary from time to time, depending on market factors.

We have been shopping at various garden stores in the SLC area for the last 15 years. We continue to return to Western Gardens for the quality plants, knowledgeable staff and quality garden merchandise. We recently purchased a garden fountain and were beyond surprised when we discovered some of the parts were missing... to the rescue, Ben, came to our home, not once, but twice (across town) on his own time to ensure that the fountain was assembled correctly. He delivered the BEST Customer experience ever!

I appreciate the pleasant and expert knowledge I find at Western Gardens. I took in a sample of my front yard tree that has looked bad for years. After the plant consultant asked me a few questions, he directed me to a very economical solution to my problem. My tree at home now looks better than it has in several years. Thank you, Western Gardens. You saved my tree and saved my pocketbook during this rotten economy. You are the best!

Love the interior of the nursery with the koi pond and the waterfall. Lots of fun feeding the koi and we did find the perfect dracaenea plant to fill our empty pot. Wendell was very friendly and helpful and was kind enough to take our photo by the waterfall. I highly recommend the Western Gardens Downtown for bromeliad, dracaenea and air plants.

I found the staff helpful and friendly but not as knowledgable as other places. I initally went because nowhere else had garlic bulbs in the fall. My bulbs have done great!! Also they have beautiful tulip varieties that are doing well in my yard. They are a liitle overpriced but they have specials that make it worth while.

One of the best plant nurseries in the area! My wife and I have little knowledge of gardening, and every year the staff is happy to help us get our small garden going. Expansive selection at an affordable price. Definitely a great place for your gardening needs.

Wonderful place to buy your plants and decoration for your garden and porch. This time we even got some very exciting bug and pests prevention... an egg of a praying mantis, in about 10 days about 300 !!! baby's will come out of that egg and will get to work... Very exciting.

***BUYERS BEWARE*** Terrible experience with a return. The manager, Ben, at the SLC location refused to return 2 sun hats that were un-used tags in-tact because I did not have a receipt. The owner required that I bring in my full bank statement that showed the transaction in order to give me a store credit only. I offered to conference my bank on a call to confirm and give details of the specific transaction and they refused. I spent around $300 total less than a week ago and was treated as though I was a thief for wanting my money back on items that were un-used. I will NEVER shop at Western Gardens again after having been treated this way.

Last year I purchased a Mimosa tree from Western Garden in West Valley they told me that if it don't survive the winter to bring it back & they would replace it. Well it never budded out this spring so I called them & they said to wait another week so I did still no sign of budding. So I brought it back to them. They said to go find another one. We did & brought it to the cashier. As she was doing the paper work she said that we owe the difference in the price of $20.00 & there is no refund. They only give in store credit. There invoice says ( Refund limited to original cost) It doesn't say anything about ( in store credit only). I can't believe that over $20.00 they are willing to lose business from not only me but family, friends & anyone else I talk to.

I asked about cold hardy cactus last year and they said that there wasn't much interest. Now they are selling them for $40 each! I wasn't impressed. The selection was poor.

Single handedly the best greenery store I've ever been to. Not only are the staff incredibly knowledgeable, but they're more than happy to help you, chat with you and even give you directions to some of their favorite spots in town! I came in here with a specific plant in mind, and was instantly shown where they all were, along with instructions on how to water and care for them. I was shown other plants similar and then left to wander around and take in the beauty that was available for me to take home. I walked out with only one plant, but was incredibly happy with it, and if all goes well the next few weeks, I plan on coming back for another!
