Read the poor reviews! Similar experience. look at all the wonderful helpful comments and positive feedback from management...ZERO. my wife and kids got out of the car and before we got 5 feet they made it clear they were closing in 5 minutes. Even though it was 10 minutes before close. Normally we wouldn't pay attention, enjoy ourselves and stay ten maybe even 15 minutes. But they made it abundantly clear we were not welcome past closing; more accurately we were not welcome 5 minutes before closing! Returned again after don't time passed and received no help when we waited for 15 minutes. No reason to ever return.

The customer service is absolute garbage. Employees are just sitting around talking and on their phones. They wouldnt help us get the items that we needed. Will not be coming back here again. Don't waste your time.

Overall decent experience. Bought three very nice Tulip trees about three years ago. They are doing wonderful and we’re fairly priced for large trees. Decent selection. Prices are slightly more than other nurseries. It’s a large nursery and it can be hard to find a customer service rep, but when asked they were friendly. They seem to do a lot of business with larger landscape companies, and cater to that. Tri-city, if your reading this my constructive advice is to make a better effort to cater to the average customer.

This nursery is across from my house but I rarely go there because the employees are rude at the check out stand and not helpful at all. Their flower selection is ok but I wish they had more. I guess they focus more on shrubs and bushes. If I need only a few flowers Tri City is where I’ll go. Anything more and I’ll go somewhere else.

They used to be my favorite nursery, but in about the past year I feel they have gone downhill. There are a couple of people on staff that really know their stuff, but a lot that don't. Last year their selection seemed really poor and most of their plants looked really dried out. They used to give a full 100% guarantee on trees for 5 years! Best guarantee I've ever seen--now it is for one year and only 50%. Not enough to compete with other nurseries that have bigger selections.

As a long time customer of another local nursery, I was almost forced to buy sod from tri city nursery due to a shortage from our regular supplier. Long story short I was quoted .28 cents a foot if I pick up on Friday, however when told I was picking up on Saturday that price jumped to 47 cents a foot due to it being “their retail sod”. Regardless if picked up on Friday or Saturday if I order the sod 3 days early for that day why would the price change. I gave tri city a chance to earn my business. however they fail to realize that 80% of their business comes from 20% of their clients. Thanks tri city nursery for solidifying my relationship with my other nursery.

I have built and planned two of my yards with the help of Tri city Nursery. I love the garden center, the beautiful nursery, the staff is so very helpful. When we removed our deck we immediately went to Tri city to get help with new pavers for our patio. Thank you for the help with our yard over the years!!

Came to shop for trees and shrubs. Couldn't find anybody to help us after wandering around for an hour. All their trees on sale were super dried out and basically dead already (not an exaggeration). I'd shop other nurseries before Tri City.

This is the most poorly ran nursery in the entire state. The potential is there - it is mismanaged. I guess their theory is sell cheap to the landscape companies, and rip-off the retail customer. They have a large volume and good selection of very, very poor quality stock at premium (outrageous) prices. They also lack the fun factor others have with yard decor, fairy gardens, etc. As a master gardener, I find myself frustrated and disappointed, every time I walk into this place. I wonder why I keep going back. The fact that there are so few nurseries to choose from must also work in their favor. I find myself shopping here when the "quality" nurseries run out of stock, but I usually leave this nursery empty handed, as I cannot find (literally - as it is complete chaos) product worth paying the price they are asking, and there is never anyone around to assist you, even if it means waiting at the register to pay for your purchase. I have walked out without the item I did find, because there was no one around to cash me out.

Tri-City has very healthy plants and quality advice! I buy my plants here and take them home (120 miles away) where they flourish!

I love this place! The people are SO knowledgeable. I'm new to gardening and they have been very patient and helpful to me. I love their enthusiasm and positivity. Definitely my favorite gardening place.

Friendly service. Lots of variety.

If you would like the weed Mare’s Tail taking over your yard this is the place to purchase your plants. We spent thousands of dollars through or landscaper for our brand new yard three years ago. All of our plants purchased came through Tricity. The pine trees we purchased from the nursery (which was 4 total throughout or yard) had what we thought were just tree shoots in the buckets they came in. Turns out it’s a weed that is impossible to get rid of and spreads like wildfire throughout your yard. We have spent hundreds on products to eliminate the problem but have had no success even three years later. Beware before you purchase your trees here!..It is a nightmare weed!

When I redid our yard, I purchased many trees and shrubs from TriCity. I purchased the Mike fertilizer protection plan. I had a number of trees that didn't make it. They made good on their word. They replaced several dead trees without cost. The reason I gave them four stars instead of five is because of the difficult time I had in the beginning because I didn't have the original receipt (they weren't going take a photocopy). Keep your receipt!

Bryan Phillips

I went there to buy some shrubs and raspberries. The raspberries were super expensive and dying. I know it’s the end of the season but they should have been on a clearance rack or something. Just looked like they needed more water that’s all. Shrubs were ok but I had to sort through a lot of bad ones. The employee that helped me was knowledgeable and helpful so that is why I am giving three stars. Was expecting the nursery to be much better but I think next time I will just go to Lowe’s and Home Depot in Bountiful because the prices are better and the plants are in better shape.

Valerie Bock

There is no one there to help you, even when we asked for help the employees were just walking around chatting with each other and completely ignored us. So we ended up buying a tree with no help and got it home and realized it wouldn't work for our needs. We tried calling to find out the return policy but it took 10 phone calls and a voice mail (which they never responded to) to get ahold of someone. We took the tree back and got a refund to our card, so we thought. We have not gotten the refund and calling them is a joke. It's quite a drive for us but going there is the only way to talk to anyone.

Stay Away!!!!!!! As a lifelong Kaysville resident I decided to buy all my plants, shrubs, flowers, and several other things when I bought a new home here in Kaysville this March. I cared for all of my purchases and even bought the Myke that they recommended. As the season is about over, I had a plant that didn't quite make it. I put it back in the container that I purchased it in and still had the tri-city tag still tied to the plant and took it in. After being ignored for several minutes, someone asked if they could help me. I politely explained the situation to which they quickly told me they could do nothing for me without the original receipt. I asked if they could look it up on my rewards account which they couldn't. I've worked retail for over 20 years and know how to properly work with people. I didn't get upset but asked if there was anything I could do for my 12.99 shrub. They said they could not. I left my plant with them and have vowed to never ever go back. 1 simple shrub will cost them my business. They could have offered any alternative but chose not to. Stay far away from this place. I drive by it everyday and will work to persuade people to do the same.

My husband and I visited Tri City for the first time last weekend. We were very impressed with the huge selection of trees, bushes and plants. They offer free consultations to help in planning and several people helped us with gardening questions while we were there, including the owner / manager! They have fountains, bird feeders, decor and more. I also really liked their selection of gardening tools and their lean towards more safe organic farming products.

Carson Jensen

These guys are great to work with. Competitive prices, good products and excellent service.

John Briggs

Great place with knowledgeable staff! They continually get new inventory in, so worth stopping by often!

Mixed thoughts about this place. I got some root starter and the lid was smashed which is bad because it is toxic. Good assortment and staff for the most part though.

J Doews

This used to be my favorite nursery but the poor quality of the over priced plants and the lack of any customer service or knowledgable sales people have just ruined it. Don't waste your time!
