Today we had a big snow storm. I don't even know if Decorative was hired to do the lots of the apartment buildings next to us but they did a great job on it. Today we watched them plow several homes and even our entry way to our business out of the goodness of their hearts. My experince with Decorative has been extremely disappointing. While the company provides and sells high-quality products, the services provided as well as the customer support were very concerning. The trees and bushes installed were of good quality, but Decorative seems to be very inexperienced in simple tasks such as installing beds around a new home. When we noticed sinkage and settling in the beds (leaving them looking like craters) the situation was explained away as "this always happens in new homes." We begrudginly paid for a fix, and I was forced to manually fix some of the problem myself. Isn't this something that an experienced professional should realize up front? The issue prompting this negative review is Decorative's refusal to uphold a warranty on a tree. The tree was installed year before last, and failed over the winter. This Spring we found that the replacement had also died. This tree is one of four in the same watering zone, and the others are thriving. We're now being told the warranty period is over, with no recourse other than to pay for another expensive replacement. Rather than argue about another problem, we're abandoning Decorative for another contractor. I'd be very concerned in considering Decorative for your next project.

I'm sure Decorative Landscaping does great work, but they are impossible to get ahold of and so I can't be a judge of their work, just the (one-way) interactions I've had with them. I tried filling out the contact form on their website. No response. Days later, I tried emailing them. No response. Days later, I tried calling them, got to the voice mail, left a voice mail with callback information. No response. Days later, I tried leaving another voice mail through another extension. No response. I contacted them through March and April and still have not received a response. If you can get ahold of them, congrats! I'm sure they'll do a great job. Otherwise, don't bother: they probably won't respond.

Our whole experience with Decorative Landscaping was great. Kyle took our vision and made it better. We appreciated the drawing of the proposed landscaping plan, to make sure we were all on the same page, and also the bid that was very detailed. We couldn't have been more pleased with our foreman, Scott. He was very knowledgeable, let us be very involved in the project, and did a great job. We appreciated having the same crew working at our home everyday, and especially that they did not stop working until our project was done. We had a few neighbors use other companies, and there projects were started before ours, but not finished before ours, because their people weren't there everyday. We are pretty picky people, so we appreciated being able to pick out trees, shrubs, colors of materials, etc.- with Scott's expert help, of course. And honestly, we could have let Scott do the whole thing without our involvement, and we are confident it still would have turned out amazing. We love the look of our home, and wanted our landscaping to accentuate it. It definitely does that. We are constantly getting compliments on our landscaping, and even people stopping to ask us questions about what kind of trees we have and who did our landscaping. We would definitely recommend Decorative Landscaping Inc. They gave us the kind of experience we were looking for. Great communication, very knowledgeable, very professional, and high quality products.

Scott is detail oriented and knowledgable. He offered many good solutions to grading issues in our existing landscaping that other landscapers could not. After doing an extensive amount of research, gathering quotes, and talking to neighbors, we elected to go with Decorative after several neighbors highly recommended them. Our experience with them was incredible from our first interaction. With our busy family schedule, Tracy was willing to come to our house on a Saturday to meet with us face to face, walk through our lot, and discuss our landscaping needs. After taking some measurements and assessing our needs, he drew up a beautiful set of plans that incorporated everything from our wish list. He priced out each component of the project so that we could pick and choose which parts were most important to us in order to remain comfortably within our budget. Once they began working on the landscaping they were very professional and detail-oriented. Brian and his crew updated us daily on the agenda for that day's work so that we were always in the loop and could make any necessary change requests. Brian was extremely responsive to our phone calls and text messages. When we were in the quote-gathering process, we were surprised at how slow the other companies were in replying to our messages. Since the project has completed, Brian and his team have stopped by several times to check the plants, grass, and trees and to make sure the irrigation system is effectively covering our lot. When a couple plants dried out and failed to take proper root, he ripped them out and replaced them at no extra cost. I would highly recommend Decorative to any homeowner who is looking into available options for landscaping.
