I love, love this place. If you're in a hurry though, you may have a wait to check out since there's only a couple registers. That being said, every employee has given us individual attention and answered all of our questions. They had just what we needed, and great prices. Lots of selection on a variety of plants, trees, fertilizers and pest control, soils, and other tools, but if you're looking for succulents, they mainly deal in agave, aloe, sempervivums, cacti and some occasional wild cards (like our pink ice plant!).

Great family owned nursery. This place is huge and has such a good variety of just about everything. They are completely organic. Everyone there was very helpful and friendly. They were able to answer all my questions, and I did have quite a few since I’m pretty new to gardening. Even getting close to closing time Mark took the time to help my husband and I get everything we were looking for and JoAnn was so helpful over the phone prior to our visit as well as in person. I will definitely be visiting them again very soon to get some pomegranate trees. Thanks for the great friendly service.

Huge place! Lots to see and choose from i could spend hours digging through their green houses. I was able to find a pretty rare calathea white fusion here for only 10 bucks!!! They have huge plants that have been well taken care of as well as smaller 2-4 in pots for very reasonable prices. Lots of organic soils and ferts as well as organic pest controls. Will absolutely be returning

I love Fanick's.... Not only do they normally have a very large selection of roses I always find what I am looking for. The staff is ready to answer all your questions, very helpful, friendly, and run by family. I not only have been a retail customer but they would also donate a beautiful plant or gift card for our school PTA carnival Raffle. Mrs. Fanick is such a kind lady I suggest everyone should at least go once.

Great place to go If you need a huge selection, great service, good prices and a comfortable atmosphere. The staff knows how to help you select what you want and need. In the process of redoing our yard, I’ve had the need for expert help. I was dealing with poor soil quality in some areas, too much shade in one area, too much sun in others. I had two gentlemen walk with me and select the proper plant for each area. It turned out beautiful. Can’t get this kind of service at the big box stores. Check out the before and after pictures. The back yard was done and looks amazing too.

Fanick's Nursery is in my opinion, one of the best nurseries in San Antonio. I frequent many, but I drive all the way across town from the Seaworld area to visit Fanick's whenever I can. They're family owned and so helpful. They're honest and let me know when a plant or tree I'm thinking of adding to my yard may not be the best choice for the soil in my area of San Antonio, and they show me alternative varieties that might work better. They have one of the largest selections as well. Fanick's holds a lot of free seminars, which I love to attend. I could go on and on...Highly recommended!

I have never been into gardening and I recently decided to plant some trees and decided to try fanicks and it just blew my mind I have never seen a nursery like this before , it is so big that you can walk around for hours! I want to thank Glenn who came to our rescue as an inexperienced gardeners and recommended the best compost , fertilizer and mulch we needed. The best thing is the owners are hands on and are there to answer any questions you may have. Day one Mark helped and day two Mike was there! Best garden center in SA- hands down! Oldest family nursery with sweet charm and knowledgeable staff. They will sell you best products out there- Foxfarm soil conditioner saved our lawn during the summer. Nematodes are needed to get rid of bugs in the lawn. And best part is they are organic and natural! Learn from the best.

For 25 years I have been gardening in San Antonio and frequently visited all the nurseries except for Fanick”s. Reason being the distance and not being familiar with the area. Last Tuesday my daughter drove me over there and believe me it is well worth the effort to find them. This place is a gem! It's a little put of the way from where we live in Thousand Oaks, but so worth the drive. The plants are excellent quality, the customer service is wonderful, and the prices are the best I've seen in town. Amazing nursery, and the staff is very helpful. Great selection of roses, crepe myrtles, succulents and lots if things you'd never find at the chain home stores. It is worth it to peel yourself away from those chain garden centers and explore your local shop like Fanicks, especially if you want your garden to stand out a little. For example I bought a windmill palm and some garlic vines which look great in my yard, two things I couldn't find at the national retailers.

This is a great garden center that tends to carry more unique plants and sizes. A bit confusing to find so use Google maps and just listen carefully to the directions. The staff is always friendly, it is well organized and there's plenty of parking. If you are a gardener, it's well worth the drive.

This place is great. They have a large selection - but the best part is their knowledge and helpfulness. I like them way better than milbergers and other nurseries for this reason. They also sold me the frog brand of soil conditioner that really helped my plants look beautiful.

One of the oldest & most knowledgeable nurseries around with a great, helpful, & courteous staff. Great year round selection tailored to San Antonio region. Every heard of a long lived Fan-Tex Ash? The only Ash tree recommended for planting & it was created by Fanniks & Texas A&M! They can help with what to plant, when to plant, how to plant it, etc. They have many replacement parts for garden tools and a great selection of garden equipment as well as a huge lot which is kind of hidden from the street view. We ship at many local nurseries and like them the best for their selection, advice, and helpfulness.

Stopped by here a week ago or so to check it out also to see if they had some citronella plants for the house. I am amazed at how big the place is with all the plants and supplies that they have for them. Plenty of flowers, herbs, and trees. Staff are friendly and seem knowledgeable. Only complaints I have are the fact that I didn't receive my points card after a purchase, I didn't realize it until after I left and the fact that the number listed online and business card does not work whatsoever. Tried calling to no avail. Other than that, I would recommend just watch out for stowaways.
