Such a lovely little place with a fitting name! You really wouldn’t know how large it is by driving by! Staff is friendly, patient and knowledgeable with questions about their plants. Huge variety of outdoor and indoor plants arranged and organized by light intake which My wife and I found most helpful when selecting one for our home. Bring the whole family to this lovely place, you won’t be disappointed. A definite win for Donelson

I'm convinced this is the best nursery in Nashville. They always have the healthiest looking plants, and are happy to answer questions and even make suggestions when you tell them what landscaping project you are working on. It is always a pleasure to shop in their lovely little "oasis"!

Stopped here in December on the way back to chattanooga to check it out. We were greeted immediately and offered hot chocolate and s’mores. Very cool. There wasn’t much there but Christmas trees but again it was December and nothing really grows then anyway. The staff was super friendly but most of the plants seemed a bit expensive. I would like to return in the spring.

The staff at JVI really know their trade. Great selection of perennials and annuals, and good selection of herbs. Prices are competitive, but their plants seem to thrive more than the ones I bought from the two big box stores nearby. They have a nice selection of large and colorful ceramic pots which go on sale mid summer. Lots of gardening tools and a few unusual items you'd never find elsewhere.

They created an Awesome pond for us, they allowed us to have the vision and built it and made it come to life! I have probably looked at every plant for sale within 20 miles of my home and I always end up back at the Secret Garden. Their selection and quality is unsurpassed. If you want something specific and they don't have it, just ask if they can get it for you. They have ordered for me more than once and I've never been disappointed. The owners and staff know their business. Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable. I would be content spending the day there but I've got flowers to plant!

Love JVI! Derek designed all of the landscaping for our new home and it's unbelievably beautiful! My favorite is a striking Blue Atlas Cedar standing over 18 feet with elegant limbs and bursts of blue-green needles.Then there's the gorgeous row of Green Giant Arborvitae that makes an awesome natural privacy hedge off the patio. Not to mention the ease and beauty of Skip Laurels and Limelight Hydrangea that require so little and yet give so much. I can hardly wait for Erin's magic touch in completing my potted garden filled with striking plants and a little bit of kitchen flavors! Thank you JVI for being spot on with my dream landscape and providing 5 Star customer service!

Such an adorable little place. The employees were extremely positive & helpful. They carried my plants to the counter & then helped me carry plants & pots to my car. They have little wagons that you can pull around to put your plants in so you don't have to carry them around. Amazing selection; the place is bigger than you think. There is a lot of interesting landscaping/decor as well. It was easy to spend more money than I planned here, but no regrets. I'm happy with all the plants & pots I purchased. I would definitely go here again. I can't wait to see my plants & flowers grow!

The garden center staff is very helpful and the plants they have are the best. However, if you want to order something specific or be notified when they have them forget about it. For two consecutive years I requested a specific plant and was told "yes, we can order" please write down what you want and contact information and we will order....crickets, nothing.

Beautiful plants that you will want to get for your yard. Their not so secret is all the water pools, waterfalls, fish and all you will need to set up yours. Plantings and arrangement is delightful. Birds singing, a gentle breeze and fragant flowers.....Check them out!

Great peaceful environment. Large selection of unique plants and trees and soils. Friendly and helpful staff. Have water features scattered throughout and water treatment chemicals for keeping them optimal. Much prefer to a bigbox experience of mass harvested plants.

You will be amazed at just how quaint and peaceful this garden center is. Its extremely clean and organized as well. This nursery has much to offer the Donelson community is ways of plant selection and uniqueness. Nice and knowledgeable horticulturalists too. They also carry EarthMix and other outstanding soils and conditioners. Their koi ponds and fountains are all phenomenal.

I have had the pleasure of seeing several of JVI’s ponds and waterfalls, and their attention to details is unparalleled! Not only the VISUAL rock and plant placement, but the attention they spent to making sure the SOUND was right blew me away! Sitting by this pond is like sitting by a mountain stream. BTW, Derek and his team not only do exceptional work, they are an exceptional team! Before I met them, I was expecting they would be just another construction crew. BUT they have really set the bar for what it looks like to bring their best as pond contractors, and phenomenal ARTISTS!

They even store your purchase history, so that you can research the plant, and the care information- no more forgetting what the name of the plant was! We will be back, for sure! This garden center looks nice but the owner and his services are not. I live and work in the area and was very excited about this garden center; I drive passed it daily. But when I hired the owner to fix my yard fountain I was gravely disappointed. The first thing was that he was very hard to reach and was always booked. I initially had to week upwards of 2 weeks for an appointment. But that was fine, because I assumed he was very good since he was so booked. Boy was I let down! He did not even show for the first scheduled appointment AFTER I waited 2 weeks. So I rescheduled, waiting another 2 weeks at least this time he showed up. But he was very lack luster in customer service. I almost felt like I was getting on his nerves but my money certainly wasn't because he readily accepted that. Lol! So I paid him to repair a fountain leak. He sprays some type sealant and says, "There ya go." Yeah, there I went, back to an empty fountain because the leak was still there. Go figure. So I called him again, agreeing to pay AGAIN (and wait 2 weeks AGAIN) for another visit to fix my fountain on a 2nd try. He didn't show AGAIN! I'd had it at that point...I will not ever call this place for service on any garden, fountain or for any other outdoor service. The owner is unprofessional and impatient. As a paying customer I felt very regretful I had called him. I guess my fountain was not as important as his other endeavors. I was VERY disappointed. I had hopes of adding Coy fish to the pond for my kids. So they're pretty disappointed too. I'll be seeking help elsewhere. Be sure before you hire this guy that he gives you some type of written agreement for what he "says" he going to do or else your money will be "gone with the wind."...Not a good experience with this company. And I'm pretty easy to please. All I really want is what I pay for...nothing more....I give them a 0 out of 10.

He was so willing to troubleshoot lighting and soil issues with me. Not only was he super knowledgeable but everyone there really kind. There is no other place that takes care of their plant as JVI. Each plant is treated as though it was their one and only plant they had for sale. You can be sure when you purchase a plant from them, you are buying the most healthly, well looked after plant in town. I have never met such a hard working couple.
