Everyone here is so helpful! I do not know much about plants, but everyone I came across was very knowledgeable and more than willing to answer my silly questions. I initially visited to get a housewarming gift for a friend and ended up with two additional plants for myself. Great experience.

I am not sure what happened when we went compared to these other reviews. My party asked multiple people questions/for help and we got the same response... "I don't know, not my job, ask someone else". We were looking to landscape and this place was suggested but not with that kind of customer service.

Here is what to expect: 1. Very High prices. 2. No warranty on what they sell. 3. No one returns your calls after sale. 4. Front line sales people were very helpful, but once Hewitt has your money, you become invisible. I found much better service at Site One, which is considered the "Costco" of nurseries. Site One is MUCH less expensive, has better post sale communication, schedules you for installation immediately, and they stand behind what they sell. Bates Nursery is also a good option; at least they return calls, post sale. Sorry to write a negative review, but if you're paying very top dollar, you ought to have good post-sale service. Try Site One, or Bates.

Even though it was drizzly I had two separate employees offer to help in a matter of twenty minutes! Can't wait to see how amazing the service is once they are fully staffed for spring, good variety of unusual plants as well! Prices seem average as well.

This is the most fabulous plant nursery that I have visited in my 84 years on this planet. I bought six of my favorite roses this afternoon that I have been searching for all over Middle Tennessee since I moved here from water starved San Diego, CA last year. I could spend the rest of my life walking around and viewing the stock that they have for sale. Fantastic selection of trees, flowers , and garden supplies. I am going to be a frequent patron although I have to drive 62 miles one way to visit .

Huge indoor and outdoor plant nursery. Had tremendous selection and was one of only a few vendors in town who carried Fox Farm's organic potting soil and coco noir. Highly recommend.

Happened upon this place after visiting another nursery down the road that had closed at 11:30 am (we pulled up at 12:15). I googled other nurseries closeby and found Hewitt. Impressive selection and expert service by the owner's son, John Hewitt. We were looking for replacements for two ornamental trees that had recently passed. :) He showed us several varieties and helped us choose two stunning trees. We also bought a bunch of annuals and left very happy with our service and selections. Every staff member we encountered could not have been nicer or more helpful! We will return to Hewitt's from now on for our planting needs and highly recommend them!

I initially had a lovely experience at Hewitt. I went for a fiddle lead fig tree and while I was there, fell in love with a beautiful 20 year old jade plant ($325). When I took it home, it proved to be too big for any of the spaces in our home. I called just hours after purchasing the plant, and although the owner reluctantly accepted the plant back, she would only provide a store credit. This turned what was a wonderful experience into a very disappointing one. It felt very much about the sale and the money, and not at all about the customer or my experience. Note: no signs at the register stating that all sales are final.

Overall: best selection and most knowledgeable staff of all landscaping companies that I’ve found in Nashville Pros: -very friendly staff -high varietal inventory -staff go out of there way to help u, including put u in touch with another staffer who is more knowledgeable about a certain plant type or specific range/series -I had purchased 4 plants (silver falls) that were selected based on the advice of one associate on a plant that was very low maintenance and required infrequent watering. Although I adhered directly to the prescriptive advice of the associate, my Silver Falls plants begin dying within one week of purchase. However, after going back to Hewitt and explaining my situation of how I did exactly as their store associate instructed me to do, the owner agreed to replace the plant for free even though their policy is all sales final. She realize that their associate had informed me on error and took the blame. This is a fantastic example of excellent customer service! Kudos to the owner because this small token of service has made me a Hewitt customer for life.

The service was extremely bad. After purchasing a plant that died a day later I was unable to exchange it for a healthy one and there were assertions that I had killed it. Not too Christian-like for a place covered in creepy crosses, I guess Jesus takes exception to flora.

This is the best garden center I’ve been to, and I’ve been to a LOT. They have the BEST, ever-growing selection of high quality plants (especially houseplants), really cute and unique pots, and tons of beauty to inspire you for whatever project you may be working on, indoor or outdoor. Wear some good shoes and give yourself plenty of time to explore. It’s a huge place!

Loved this place. Blooms and buds everywhere! They have so many beautiful plants and varieties you do not find so easily. The staff is very dedicated, super knowledgeable, and very helpful. You will see what I am talking about when you go! Make sure you bring some plastic garbage bags and tape. So you can tape the bag closed after you put them around your plants, in the event they are damp or in case they tilt during your drive home. You will enjoy just taking time to walk thru the beautiful plants, shrubs and everything..

Terrible experience! I drove 35 miles, 45 minutes each way, to take samples of a sick tree to Hewitt's to get their expertise. They took the sample but the young man wanted to speak with someone else who had more experience - and he promised to call me back. Not only did he not call me back, I couldn't get a response after calling them back FOUR TIMES!!! I ultimately left TWO messages with the owner, and still have not heard anything back. In April I spent over $140 on flowers at Hewitt's, as I do every spring. This year will be the last time I do that!!!

This has always been my go to nursery. I have lived in the east side if Brentwood and I still go here for my gardening needs. I just put in a lot of landscaping and all of it was purchased here. They have a great knowledgeable staff that makes a difference. You could shop there for hours.
