Very possibly my favorite place on earth. So beautiful, so immaculatly kept. Employees are really friendly & glad to help. If you go (& you should!), make sure the Italian Gardens, the Topiary, the Fountain shows, & the cafe (their mushroom soup is sublime) are on your list. I'm a member of the New York Botanical Gardens, which I love, but cannot hold a candle to Longwood Gardens

Amazing garden! I’m normally not the type of person to be awed by plants, but damn, this was something else! There was so much on display; it was insane! The meadow was definitely my favorite part though. Make sure to go after 4 (in the summer time), because the evening sun there is great! Also, make sure to go on one of the dates where they hold special events like the grand firework show paired with a musical display of fountains! Spectacular!

Asha Advani

Lovely gardens with large variety of plants. Many wonderful walking trails. Exquisite light shows in the winter.

I love going here because I love plants and flowers. It's a beautiful garden to visit and the history makes it even better. Lots to do and see. You can easily spend 3 hours + . So much to take in, u will be blown away by all the different plants, flowers, fountains, small gathering , nooks, pathways and tree houses and much more. Take a break by the ponds and listen to nature, Lunch in the middle of it all and much more. You will not be disappointed.

David Oldham

We have always loved LWG! This time we got to enjoy the fireworks with the fountains. It was quite the show, and I recommend it to all. Lights, sound, music..... What a show!

Chris Michael

Beautiful, picturesque venue with lots of different sites, walking trails, history, artifacts and a very nice staff. A tremendous amount of detail was shared both with the grounds, the history of horticulture with the pierce and DuPont family and a great collection of memorabilia is available for all to see. Would have stayed there longer if the food and beverages weren't so expensive

Lisa Quinn

Beautiful outdoor water fountain and ground sculpture that was recently renovated. The new night time fountain display was extraordinary. A must see!

Kaylee Warner

Gorgeous gardens, lots of cool places to explore and the light show is very cool. They even made the motorized scooters for those who cant walk as long actually affordable. The only downside is it is a bit pricier at $23 per adult person. Would recommend as a family outing if you can swing the cost.

Molly Kushner

Beautiful grounds, waterfall, green wall, water fountain displays to music, varied greens, flowers, bushes & trees plus great cafe with outdoor seating & good food. Sorry I missed the dahlia show & too early for mum show. We'll have to return another time for live music too.

Tom Ferguson

Fabulous landscape. Been to dozens of botanical gardens and this one stands out. Great fountains and conservatory. Could have spent a couple days soaking it in but only had 6 hours.

Roger Carlson

My wife and I have been members of Longwood Gardens for many years. If you have never been there please visit their website and see all that there is to see and do. Truly an amazing unique Gardens water fountains and and a one-of-a-kind Conservatory.

Alvo Gomez

This place is incredable! Just Do it! Only regret was that we didn't get started early. You can spend the whole day here easy.

Keesha Tucker

What an amazing place! As a person who was underwhelmed by Butchart gardens, but impressed with the botanical garden and pond at Balboa Park and in love with the Japanese Gardens in Vancouver and Seattle...I was dazzled by this spectacular place! I don't have adequate words, but jaw dropping is appropriate since mine did drop... repeatedly

Sheldon Raph

Incredible variety of plants and landscapes. The conservatory is a must see year-round attraction.

Iurii Novak

We had walked and watched a huge numbers of trees, flowers and dancing fountains with kiddo and my soulmate. I am so happy for spent here 4 hours with lovely people around there. Thank you people (staff) for your job.

Ritesh Shah

What a treat and it only took me 3 years to get here! Can't believe this little marvel exists less than an hour outside of Philadelphia. I made the trek out here on a Saturday. The day was beautiful and perfect to explore the gardens. Getting there, there was some traffic due to construction to fight, but overall it was a pretty easy straight shot from Philly. Onsite, there is plenty of surface lot parking. I snagged a spot close to the entry way, which is also the visitors center and made my way in. The entrance works on timed tickets. We had grabbed tickets off line in advance so entry was a breeze. The employees were pretty helpful offering the days special events and also what their favorite parts of the gardens are. The gardens open up to large rolling greens sectioned off bricked lined pathways that easily guide you from one area to the next. There is a large fountain display that has shows on specified hours on one end, and a great greenhouse on the opposite side offering stellar views of the grounds. There are many nooks and crannies to explore - including a castle tower and a large waterfall. Stay a while and grab some lunch or dinner at the different eateries available. There's even a beer garden that opens up in the evening! Loved the experience and looking forward to more times. They have seasonal occasions and people raved about the shows the gardens put on during holidays! Will definitely be back!

It's really awesome place definitely worth a visit but make sure you visit on morning so that you can cover all sorts of plants across the area and enough time for the light show at night starts at 9:15 pm. The garden has mostly all sorts and varieties of plants which includes daily fruits and vegetables plants too which I never had an idea how they grow. Finally the day ends with light show which is incredibly awesome fantastic.

Leh Mounelasy

Luv this place! Amazing and spectacular with varieties of flowers and plants. A very big place which takes you on a long journey or hike to see it all in one day. Summer days can be extremely hot unless you find good shades under the trees or inside the buildings. Adult costs $23 and children $12. It's well-kept with lots of various things to see and do here, a natural habitat, and great for family outing. I'd recommend.

bothaina

A most beautiful place!! The conservatory is full of amazing and special flowers. The fountain show is also exceptional. You can spend all day long exploring the place. Be ready to walk!

Eric Nordquist

Amazing place for a special occasion. Fireworks and fountains show worth every penny. Dinner at 1904 was some of the best food I've had.

Aboud Aboud

A place full of beauty. The fountains show is amazing. The conservatory is great.. it has an amazing waterlily display. All sections worth visiting. It is even recommended to go to the restrooms in the conservatory where you can see the Green Wall. Great place.

Marilyn Gould

I visited the gardens in the day then returned at night to see the spectacular fountain light show. Beautiful exhibition of water fountains with music. Bring your own folding chairs and picnic. Food and beverages are expensive. I particularly loved the water Lily ponds.

Lauryn White

I come here twice a year and every time I'm amazed by the beauty. Absolutely love this place I wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone the staff are wonderful but I would pack a lunch the cafe is pricey and really breaks the immersion of being surrounded by plants.

David Calderwood

Beautiful gardens. Really more than gardens as you can spend the whole day there and there are plenty of places to eat and drink, plus entertainment with the dancing fountains. Allow plenty of time to walk through the grounds.

Sheri Graham

Had a FANTASTIC time at The Festival of Fountains & Fireworks! Note: I don't recommend purchasing their pizza. My $15.00 Margarita Pizza consisted of crust, cheese and tiny sprinkle of basil (NO SAUCE). The rating is for the show ONLY!

Lisa Yanak

Longwood Gardens is always a joy to visit. It may seem expensive, but this place is so much more than just a garden. The commitment to excellence, education, and beauty is worth the price. There is more than just a change of seasons. They plant, grow, trim, and change for seasons, holidays, and for the shades of every color of nature. Mr. Dupont's former home and grounds are such a treasure.

Keyur Thakkar

Beautiful botanical gardens and fountain show. Must visit if interested in plants and botany. Place is huge but very well maintained. Plan for at least 4-5 hours to see everything at leisure. Only downside is food court is expensive and not very vegan or vegetarian friendly.

Sue Huey

Have been several times and it's always a great place to go, rain or shine! I highly recommend for any age group. It's always gorgeous.

Nancy Attard

We had a perfect October day to explore Longwood Gardens for the first time. This is an amazing place and we will definitely return to enjoy other seasons in these gardens. The staff was welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed a nice chat with a gardener about the care of a Corpse plant. Other staff were helpful, answering our questions and directing us to the Bonsai exhibit that we somehow missed. The mum and bamboo exhibits in the Conservatory were unique and some were on an epic scale. We really appreciated the signage. It takes a dedicated staff to keep plants labeled. The water gardens were just beautiful. We walked through the beautiful houses in the Conservatory enjoying every one. We arrived just in time for the Fountain water show. Like fireworks only done with water. Before strolling around the outside gardens we enjoyed a lovely lunch. Lots of healthy delicious choices. Longwood Gardens is amazing and wonderful.

John E

Large sprawling garden property with beautiful flower exhibits. Impressive colorful fountain show in the evening. Great for nature lovers.

Abi Maghamfar

One of the most beautiful and impressive gardens, not only in the US but perhaps in the world. The Illuminated Fountain Performance in the evening, which is performed on Thur, Fri & Sat nights is a wonderful display of waterworks, lights & fire with music that should not be missed.

Ananth Dharmavaram

It was absolutely spectacular. You will not regret having visited this place. The entire garden is filled with a variety of flowers and Vines and it gave a sensation of peacefulness. There are plenty of places to dine here. The only problem was with the light show, compared to last time, the show's music was repeated over and over.

Anum Chohan

Beautiful gardens! The fountain shows are amazing! Must spend at least 5-6 hours to visit but definitely worth it! Would love to visit again :)

Charles Byrd

This place holds many memories of my times in Pennsylvania. This beautiful location is where I proposed to my amazing wife. Longwood Gardens is a wonderful place to take your family, loved one, or just yourself to enjoy all the natural foliage of the property. Plus, they serve some pretty good beer and food!!

Amy Westgate

Beautiful in all seasons. Come for events and special exhibits or enjoy the natural splendor. Accessible. Excellent food and beer garden. Clean restrooms.

Susan Mogel

Arriving in the evening for the fountains illumination and fireworks "Swan Lake", oh how spectacular and absolutely beautiful!! To see the integration of this classic music, colorful fountains topped with fireworks is like no other! Well done to the folks at Longwood!!

Maria Yocum

Amazing sights are all around you at this attraction. Obviously, there are all types of trees, flowers, and natural beauty in these gardens. There are amazing man made sites as well with an Italian water garden, creative tree houses, dancing fountain shows, and a conservatory with more flowers as well as a ballroom with the largest pipe organ I've ever seen. Definitely worth your time. The 3 1/2 hours I spent there with a group was really not quite enough. I will have to get back when I get a chance.

Megan Mayo

Always a wonderful place to visit. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. One of my favorite places in the world.

john mastrobuoni

This was a magical place, I loved every minute of it. It took 3 hours to walk through and I still haven't seen everything. The water fountain shows during the day and the spectacular one at night was breathtaking. The feeling was like fireworks only with water and better. I understand that there is also fireworks night included in some of the venue use time Schedule. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME, AND I PLAN TO GO!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Shannon Oleson

Absolutely stunning and tons of grounds. The fountain show is also so cool. Can spend anywhere from 1-3 hours walking and exploring!

K A

This place is beautiful. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes because there's a lot to see. It's definitely an all day trip. If you go later in the afternoon you can see everything light up and the fountain shows are even more breathtaking.

Bob M

I gave it four stars because we are members and we still need to make a reservation. Tried to go one Saturday night and they were sold out. Members should be able to get in anytime and not refused entry because they are sold out.

emily malin

You could spend a full day here and simply get lost in how beautiful everything is! The gardens are beautiful and gorgeously maintained. We stayed for the daytime fountain show and it was so amazing! ( we didn’t make it to the nighttime but I hear it’s even better- but people started to stake out their spots around 7:30, so get there early!)

Mike Vanim

Always very pretty, calm and relaxing. We went on a school trip for my son. The staff I did interact with were courteous and informative

Pam Stewart

This is truly a must see place for anyone visiting the USA. The gardens are breathtakingly beautiful and a very special bonus are the fountains which form a spectacular display after dark. Played to music and lit by LED lighting of rainbow hues they are a feast for the eyes.

Susie Paine

We had a great time exploring the garden. We got a reserved time ticket (recommend for busy times) for 7:30. Then we explored the area for a couple of hours then watched the light show at 9:15. The light show was really great to watch. The time the main water falls to music and lights. Highly recommend.

Keith Roussel

I was impressed. I had never heard of Longwood Gardens until about an hour before I visited. When I first arrived I walked through some trails and was feeling like the entry price was a rip-off, then I arrived at the conservatory. I first entered through the room with the stream flowing through the center and thought "this is nice, but still not worth the price." But then I kept entering chamber after chamber filled with beautiful and exotic plants from around the world and in about 15 minutes my perception of the place and entry fee radically changed. There are so many beautiful rooms and plants. I visited each room several times. The lily ponds were beautiful and the old bonsai trees truly impressive. Peaches grew on a wall and grapes from the ceiling. The evening sun shining through the glass ceiling was enchanting. I then began walking though the fountains as the lights began to turn on. As the sun began to set I arrived at a pond not far from the fountains. Fireflies twinkles int he bushed along the edges of the pond and couldn't help but thing that Longwood Gardens in the evening would be the place for a perfect date. The night was complete with a spectacular light show not he fountains. I watched part of it, but stole myself away halfway through for the opportunity of a nighttime stroll through the silent conservatory.

D Lagredelle

Beautiful botanical garden! Great staff and entertaining events. Just remember to fill your water bottles in the lobby, as you may not find a fountain once you're outside!

Heather Perez

Absolutely loved this place. Went in October the colors were spectacular. Well worth the price, so much to see. From Dupont's house to the gardens. Absolutely breath-taking! A perfect vacation spot.

ghassan albaghli

Really I love this place, I learn a lot about the plants there because there is tags in the most of the plants and you can know the name and some information about the plant. It deserve visiting and I willing to visit this place again. The ticket cost 23$ for the adult for the whole day and you can go out and in in the same day.

JAMES CARROLL

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. The gardens, water gardens and trails were amazing. The facility is huge and not a leaf out of place. I will certainly return.

Kim & Sam

This place was absolutely magical during Christmas! My family and I enjoyed everything about it. Don't worry about pictures too much, just enjoy the moment! A must see during the holidays!

Jeremy Henderson

An enjoyable day for yourself, with friends, or kids. Make sure to catch the main fountain show and the Conservatory's beautiful assortment of plants and settings.

Beverly Glass

Longwood Gardens is always an amazing place! Every season is different but each has its own gorgeous offerings. The fountain/light/music show isthe best!!!

Kathleen Kalinowski

Longwood Gardens is a tradition with my mother. It is absolutely stunningly beautiful anytime of the year. My mother used a complimentary wheelchair which was her first time using one. LG is completely wheelchair friendly. It's a fantastic place to bring someone who is generally housebound as you can be out in nature in wheelchair accommodating environment. We had a wonderful leisurely lunch in the restaurant which started our visit off perfectly. The rest of our visit was awe inspiring as it always is.

Jamie Jon McAllister

I always have and always will love this place. When I first visited many years ago, the fountain display was under construction. Now there are so many new features and an amazing fountain show. Every time I go it is new experience and I am not left without awe. I cant wait to see what new features the holiday display has this year

Marisol Velez

An amazing gem in Pennsylvania. It is breathtaking. Must have a whole day to spend there to see everything. There is so much beauty to take in.

Don Edgar

If you need an excuse to exercise. Then you must visit Longwood Gardens. There is so much to see, to do. It's a fun way to to get educated about different kind of plants, vegetables etc. Make sure you have a good comfortable pair of walking shoes on when visiting.

Shachi Patel, M.D.

My daughter and I absolutely love it here. Especially want to note how much we enjoy the fireworks show every year! Thank you to Longwood for giving us such great memories!

Jonathan Sidie

Longwood is always a great experience all year round. Anytime you go. Exciting things to see for all age groups.

Nichole Norris

Absolutely beautiful! We go multiple times a year to see the seasonal exhibits. It's also a great place to bring a book and find a hidden away spot and just relax!

Joe H

The evening fountain show is a must see. The beer garden seems like a great place to eat, and had live entertainment. If you choose to eat at the picnic area before going in, it's not located near the main parking. Go there first, so you don't get tied up getting in & then have to leave again.

Robert Frazier

Great place to learn about plants and trees and enjoy the outdoors. Very nice greenhouses with tropical plans and trees. Well laid out, relaxing, enjoyable and educational.

Barb Parz

We love Longwood Gardens and have been coming for years. The Main Fountain Garden restoration is stunning. We also love the Meadow Walk. Longwood Gardens is beautiful during all seasons, but be prepared to walk A LOT. Very crowded during Christmas, consider online ticket purchase during that time of year. The Main Conservatory is designed differently every season every year and keeps us coming back. Equally amazing is the Orchid Extravaganza.

dominika oliver

I think this place is one of philly's treasures. I feel like the photos of flowers should speak for themselves, but this place is huge and has something for everyone. I wish I could have stayed longer so I could walk through the meadow trail, and saw all the small attractions that I missed. It's worth going more than once to see the seasonal displays.

11longstreet

Highly recommend. Beautiful facility, very well-maintained. Recommend staying more than one day. Fun for all ages. The pipe organ was my wife's favorite. For myself, the smaller fountains I found especially relaxing and tranquil. Delicious food at the cafe, too. Try going at off-peak hours-that place was slammed between 12-1:30 pm for lunch.

JoAnn Waters

Visited for luminaries and themed fountain show. The weather was almost perfect, if a bit chilly but the show was impressive as usual. Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of the fountain show itself. Service by the staff was superb.

Molly Holleran

A lovely place to spend a day. Very easy handicapped access to most of the grounds with an indoor conservatory full of tropical and exotic plants, including a really spectacular collection of orchids. The plants are all clearly marked with labels to identify the specie and cultivar. The organ and carillon are a must see.

Steve Hands

Simply magnificent. I would recommend a day at Longwood gardens to experience colorful world of nature. I give it 4 stars due to the cost of food. If you can, bring your own picnic lunch or pay $13 for a salad!! Otherwise, simply beautiful and well done.

ELAINE Panzeter

Put on your walking shoes! Dazzling displays and fountains. I went with my family and every one if us had our own favorite area. Plenty of restaurants and kiosks on premises. There is something for everyone. We spent the entire day here and will come back for the holiday displays.

Mircea Ploscar

Huge botanical garden...it is so huge...like ginormous! But in all seriousness this place is beautiful, so many things to see and the food is decent. You can easily spend all day here. They have a schedule for the water show and at night it's even more amazing since they cast color lights on to the water. Well worth the trip!

William Bergo

Very slick place, the grounds are gorgeous. Water light show is okay, but the fire water was awesome! Would love to spend more time here during the day walking around the whole property. Note to owner, please do a heavy metal category for the theme nights!

C Finkelstein

This place is incredible. It is huge and has so many interesting things to see and explore. It's also great for kids to explore. There is quite a bit to see here. Plan to spend at least 2 hours here. I would recommend seeing it during Christmas. They put on a spectacular Christmas display.

Bumble Bee

This is my favorite botanical gardens on the East Coast. The exhibits are constantly changing and there is so much to see including indoor and outdoor gardens as well as a fountain show set to music. If you want to see everything, give yourself a full day here. I think the cost of admission, $25, is a little steep. $18-$20 would be more appropriate.

Juanita Clendaniel

Had an amazing trip to Longwood Gardens. The weather was beautiful. The atmosphere was full of excitement for the Fireworks and Fountain Show. It did not disappoint. Great job to all staff. Thank you!

Lirys Garcia

WONDERFUL place! Lots of trees and paths to walk around. Tree houses you can climb and ponds you can sit by to enjoy the view, the greenish souroundings, as well as to dive into the warm breeze. The musical fountains show at the end of the day was a plus! Just make sure you find a place by the fountains prior to the show so you can sit comfortably. We will come back definitely! :)

Linda-Ann Coverdale

Had a Awesome Day with my Son, Daughter in law, and Grandsons. Beautiful Awesome Well maintain areas. Enjoyed all the Beautiful Flowers and plants. Everyone should go see Longwood gardens. Going to go back in December.

Cheyenne Zaremba

Amazing place! The price seems a bit steep at first ($20 for entrance for students...yikes!) but the scope of the grounds and all of the things to do while on the premise make it well worth what you pay. The gift shop is wonderful and they sell a wide variety to plants. A wonderful venue!

Gina Skolmowski

Stunning property! Gardens, conservatory, fountains, family home.... What a gift to the community! Absolutely worth a visit. Lots of ground to cover. The cafe has great food and drink choices and the gift shop is a must see too. Wonderful cause to support.

Shua Aldrich

Its like Eden... Except that people have to work hard to make it nice and there's occasionally thorns. It's incredibly beautiful and offers a sense of serene tranquility. Each season feels, by and large, is a totally different experience. I don't really even care much or know much about flowers but this place almost forces you to stop, slow down, and appreciate them. "What is this life of fill of care, we have no time to stand or stare"

Olga Tretiakova

Unforgettable, inspirational, emotional! We visited the gardens and stayed for a movie night fireworks show. This is so far one of the best experiences I had! Highly recommend for any age!

O Sh

Amazing light and fountains show, but the music choice was not the best. Too loud and too aggressive. This show would be ideal with good choice of symphonies. Looking forward to see the Christmas season design.

Larry Kehoe

It was beautiful. The organ folly with the way waterfall & lake were gorgeous. The variety of trees was amazing. I don't remember how much acres were under glass in the conservatory but you could get lost easily. The fountains were entertaining. The flowers were everywhere.

Fluffee Chick

Even with my seasonal allergies, this place is so magical. I was lucky enough to have lunch at The Cafe. Had no clue Kennett Square was famous for mushrooms. Did you know? So I had to have the mushroom soup. It was so incredible! Mad I only got a cup, silly me. If you enjoy mushroom soup and make sure to get a bowl.

Almas Jabeen

This place is absolutely beautiful. I arrived around 3:30pm and I regret that I did not come earlier. There are many different gardens to visit and trails to walk at a leisurely pace I did not even have enough time to take a walk enjoy the gardens in the conservatory! The fountain show was great! As each time came, the fountain show got better! The last one they scheduled for the night is the highlight of it all. Luminous LED water fountain show so beautiful! I have shared some pictures that I have taken. Im very grateful to the Gardens for giving me the pleasure to walk through their Flower Show and see which floral designs took home first place! To be prepared, pack water, wear comfortable walking shoes, and bring an empty phone storage!

Glenn Ricart

Come for the Fountains and stay for the exotic plants. A horticultural showcase at any time of year. Enjoy and enduring gift to America. Knowledgeable guides. Check the times for the fountain spectaculars.

Tom Grapes

Everything here is great - almost perfect. This trip we appreciated the bamboo arrangements and loved the fountains. We lucked out and saw next years tulip and other bulbs being planted by the THOUSANDS!

Alisha David

Amazing place... so beautiful... it's hood to know that in a world where trees and plants are being moved away for more and mkre houses, such places exist where they try to preserve nature at it's best.... would love to go again...

Richard Bearman

Longwood Gardens is a great place to appreciate trees, bushes, and flowers and learn about how our beautiful environment can soothe the soul and excite the senses. Staff are exceptionally helpful and solicitous, eager to share their considerable knowledge. One can spend a lovely day here and the café is dependable for lunch or a snack.

Paul

This place is beautiful. Wear comfortable shoes because there's a lot to see. It's definitely an all day trip. If you go later in the afternoon you can see everything light up and the fountain shows are even more breathtaking.

Place is extremely easy to explore, ADA accessible but the cafe is ALWAYS busy. The prices for 2 salads and a chicken tender basket is 33 DOLARS! The lines were so long my tenders were cold when we were finished

Frank Altrichter

Amazing display of beautiful plants and settings. Wasn't able to to view new water fountain gardens in action but it must be amazing. Only negative was long walk from parking to entrance and then to main building. Bring great walking shoes!

Sandeep Pinjerla

Loved the gardens. More flowers than we ever saw and especially the indoor gardens with all the flowers is really awesome. Loved staying in the those gardens. Very refreshing. Parking is available. Seasonal shows are not to be missed. End of the day water shows are amazing too.

Spencer Green

Gorgeous and extensive. Only wished we lived nearer, so we could come more often. The fountain shows are really stunning.

Carol Talamini

Such an amazing place you'll never want to leave there is so much to see & do. Become a member and get special treatment like members only days and more. It's beautiful, amazing and the staff is so helpful here. Don't miss the fireworks at the fountains. Just amazing.

Kristen Landis

My family loves going to Longwood Gardens. The employees are so kind and helpful. My husband enjoyed asking questions in different areas that we visited. I have a child with a disability and there are so many areas to keep everyone's attention. We have gone several times, a year or two in between, and we find new areas that are fun or interesting.

Carlos Idiaquez

The most beautiful garden I have ever seen very inspiring. Definitely recommend this place. So peaceful.

Doris Martin

Longwood gardens is a beautiful place to spend the day! Its amazing how many different plants and flowers there are. I especially enjoyed the water fountains. . The waterfalls by the chime tower is so neat! Make sure on a warm day to take water with you. .

Mat Woods

Dinner at 1906 restaurant on the Longwood gardens grounds was very good and beautifully presented but a little pricey. Fireworks and fountains were spectacular!

ABDULMAJEED ALQASSEM

Nice place to see it and enjoy there! There are a lot of trees and you can Smell of fresh air! Wonderful place!

Lisandra Camacho Ortiz

Beautiful arrangements and displays. Performances are spectacular. Great food at 1906 Restaurant.

Mugdha Joshi

Our all time favorite. This was our 3rd visit all the way from Boston. It is just amazing. The staff is super friendly as well. It has ample of well organized parking. We got to see the fountain and fireworks show which was outstanding and amazing.

Cassandra McDonald

Always a great time for my family including my 2 year old! Love to walk around to see the flowers and just enjoy nature. Staff is ALWAYS friendly and helpful.

Shukhrat Maks

This is a huge botanical garden, very clean and taken care of very well. The guides are all around the park - very friendly and happy to help. We came with our 3 year old and she enjoyed the areas for the kids where you can play with water and it's very interesting. Overall get ready to walk! This park garden is huge, it takes the whole day to see the park and you still can't see everything there is to see. The best places are the conservatory, and the fountain show that's every 2 hours. At night I think usually Friday nights they have a light show of the fountain and it's very beautiful. It just takes a lot of walking so you can't see everything in one day. Also there are so many beautiful plants and flowers from all over the world..the conservatory is truly a beautiful collection, worth visiting. Lots of places to take photos. The cost of the tickets is worth it. The gelato is delicious in the terrace cafe!

Adam Pennington

Went here with the family. I'm not a garden or flower guy, but WOW this place would impress anyone! I knew the fountains were going to be amazing but the upkeep on the landscape and the greenhouse was breathtaking. I'll be back for the nighttime light shows.

Brandon Rentschler

Absolutely beautiful. The conservatory is huge and there's so much to see. The bonsai trees are awesome. We stayed for the fountain show at night that is worth it too. The only problem I had with Longwood Gardens is the food at the cafe is overpriced. It was very good, but it was on the expensive end. Highly recommend Longwood Gardens.

Jonathan Barr

First time here in over 40 years. This place is amazing. We made it to one of the last lighted fountain displays of the season. It was totally awesome. We had a fun time walking through the conservatory looking at all the beautiful flowers and plants. The bamboo displays are phenomenal. The kids enjoyed the toy train layout and the lighted tree area. We bought the year membership so we will be there over and over.

Ricky Hanson

This place is amazing. So much to see. Lots of photo opportunities. Stay late and check out the fountain show when it's lit up with a rainbow of colors and even some fire. Explore the grounds and see all kinds of plants, flowers, butterflies, and birds. This place is huge, it might even take more than one visit to experience it all.

Sharon McNeill

What can one say to capture such a place? Come! See! You WILL NOT be disappointed! Nature's gorgeous diversity and beauty lovingly cared for, cultivated and here for all to enjoy! Plan on spending a DAY! Cafe has a nice selection, albeit a tad pricey. Indoor and out door eating. Staff is most helpful. Still a mystery to me how they make this place SO perfect!

Google User

A totally beautiful and awesome place to visit. Gorgeous natural displays, pristine manicured gardens, unusual sights. No review could do this place justice. I was able to see less than half of the gardens in the hours we were there. Will most definitely return.

Bryan Anderson

One of best arboretum's in the country. Longwood gardens is expansive with many different areas to explore. Massive greenhouses with exotic plants, forests, fields, and do much more. The outdoor fountain is phenomenal, and it was recently renovated. Dont miss the orchid room or the bonsai area, they are amazing.

Stephen Mckinley

This is a great place for young children & people of all ages. Lots of walking but motorized chairs for use is needed. Many fountains and venues for one to see. Children's garden a special treat for the little one's. Very enjoyable location with food & drink available as well as maps.

Stefanie Stoyanov

Spectacular flowers and gardens every where you walk. The Conservatory is magnificent. They have thought about different creature comforts and have food and beverages in several locations, some accompanied by music. Definitely must visit again!

My favorite botanical gardens of all times. The grounds are huge, yet I feel that there is no wasted space. I’m always a fan of roses, and I could stare at any of the fountain displays for hours. If you are hungry, definitely try to eat at the main restaurant instead of the cafeteria. But this place is always worth the price of admission and the drive out from the city.

So beautiful, this is definitely an experience. Make sure you wear the appropriate clothes, shoes, and bring plenty of water if you're going during the summer. It gets pretty hot

One of my wife and I's favorite places to go! Amazing how they have different plants and exhibits each season so it always feels "new " to us! We have a membership and would highly recommend one to friends, the food is even really good as well.

Barbara King

The Gardens were unbelievable! Every thing was picture perfect, and that's what we did click, click, click! Plan to spend a whole day. We went into the town for lunch at ASIA restaurant which was out of this world with food! I want ASIA in my town!

Fernando Marques

Beyond expectations. Fountains festival was worth the wait. Cafe, beer garden and flowers exposition were all very nice. Will definitely come back.

Longwood will always be 5 stars in my book! If you have never gone get your reservations in for Christmas! The best time to go although I love it anytime ❤️

Gymdom2587

This place is absolutely beautiful. We have the season pass because it’s so nice to just be able to walk around and look at all the beautiful gardens. It’s a very calming place and makes you wish your own gardens could look as nice. If you’ve never been, you definitely have to go because there’s nothing else like it.

Cheryl Swingle

This is a place that is wonderful to visit at any season of the year. Such beautiful and well-designed/maintained grounds without looking too extremely manicured. The grounds are very walkable and the videos of how and why Longwood Gardens was built was such a great story to view. But for me, after years away from my last visit, the big wow was the fountains. And be sure to see them lit at night for their music-themed show! A full 45 minutes of colors, powerful bursts, and amazing coordination was enjoyed by this foursome on our visit. Loved the entire day!

Brenda Molony

No matter what time of year you visit, there is always a wealth of beautiful plants and flowers. It never disappoints.

Jill Ceresini

Beautiful, peaceful gardens and amazing conservatory. Always something really cool going on here whether its live music, concerts, or Christmas joy. Membership here is well worth it. Great food and local brews. Fountains and fireworks show is unlike anything I've ever seen. Absolutely stunning!

Matt Chapman

You would be hard pressed to find a more beautiful and well manicured garden. First time visitors can make a day out it for sure, while returning guests will always find something new and interesting. Special fountain shows, concerts, and other events make Longwood an attractive location, but the conservatory is what makes these gardens a must see.

Steve Karp

Most amazing water fountains choreographed to really good music. Most nights have themes like Disney, Hollywood movies, country, etc. You get the point. Beer garden, food, gift shop, beautiful horticulture and the biggest lilypads you will ever see.

Shashank Abhyankar

What a beautiful place. The water fountains and the light show make your day. The vast green garden is full with variety of plants, flowers, trees that make it very beautiful. The meadow trails add fun to your trip. Last but not the least, enjoy the best rest rooms ever :-)

Donald Rodgers

My gosh I just love this place. The fountain shows are utterly amazing. You owe it to yourself at least once to catch a fountains and fireworks show. The gardens are also amazing you get to spend the entire day in a Billionaire's plaything. And best of all I keep modernizing it like Pierre was still alive and trying to keep the place in the vision that he would have. Place is pretty much Disneyland for a slightly more grown-up crowd. Just amazing and Incredibly fun. My jaw doesn't hit the ground often anymore but it hit it several times in one visit here.

Brad Raynor

Fantastic place to go, always something to see no matter the time of year. Great exercise to just walk around

Teximus Prime

Gorgeous traditional garden estate where you can get lost for hours, see a concert, or just enjoy some quiet any time if the year! Besides the summer blooms, the conservatory had year round flowers and exotic plants. Always check the website for what events are being held, or when the fountain shows are! Be warned though if you want to cool off you can get right next to the main fountains and get soaked, or watch from the comfort of the upper level in front on the conservatory!

Unfortunately I came on the hottest day of the decade... 110 deg index. Nearly passed out, but great place to visit. I'd love to return to see the rest. Fireworks/ water show was hands down the best you will find anywhere in the world! 1000x more than I expected. Wow!

Howard Wilde

There is enough to see to make an entire day out of it. The kids were better behaved than they normally are, because they were having so much fun. The day was capped off with an excellent fountain show.

Salil Goyal

Beautifully constructed. At first seems like are they charging too much to visit some garden but it feels worth it in the end. Loved the water fountain show. Longwood had good food and beer to offer. enjoyed my daycation here. Will return in winters around christmas to see what different they could offer.

Tim Thomas

My kids loved it! It has so much space to run around and explore. The fountain shows are fun and just the right length. Awesome beautiful place to hang out for a night.

Mary Kylee Smith

Great repeat value. I’ve come several times in the past year or so. It’s beautiful and a great place to walk around and enjoy the environment. I love that many of the plants are labeled so that you can learn about your favorite finds. There are cats wondering around so it’s a pretty magical place. Would love to see more hydration stations though. Fountains are small and kind of out of the way to find.

A great day trip on a beautiful spring or fall day. You'll find beautiful gardens and greens (think "Versailles") connected by rambling pathways and other outdoor, landscaping. This was a DuPont family home (Delaware industrialist family). You can tour their (fairly modest) home. Their "Conservatory" houses multiple indoor gardens, greenhouses, a ballroom and the country's largest residential pipe organ. World-famous, but West Chester born, composer, Samuel Barber, visited Longwood as a child, played its organ and even - in the 1922 - met John Philip Sousa there! Time your visit to last into the early evening so you can view their new light and fountain show. Even apart from the show, the many fountains are beautiful at night when illuminated. One more thing: You can have your hand stamped if you'd like to leave LG to grab dinner at one of the nearby Kennett Square eateries, and then return for the light/fountain show.

Erik Herchek

One of the best conservatories out there. It is more expensive than most, but the cost is worth it. The grounds are extensive, the buildings beautiful, and you’ll find a truly wide selection of plant varieties. Highly recommend going during winter for the lights.

Yoann Lussier

One of the best way to enjoy this garden is to let someone walk you through it while your eyes are closed. The scent of this garden is breath-taking and the long paths will captivate you for hours. The time taken to achieve this beautiful masterpiece should be rewarded by your visit.

Donna Miller

The gardens are beautiful! Expect a lot of walking (they do have ramps and elevators for people that need it). The firework show is amazing and I highly recommend it. The food is also good.

LuluShonda St.

Such a beautiful place to enjoy the nature. And learn about the history of how it all started. Definally will be the place for me to get away and enjoy the moment by myself.

kyle kemp

Longwood is truly one of the premier gardens in it's class in the world. Everything is just absolutely perfection from the seasonal displays to the permanent displays. And the recently rehabbed fountain display is spectacular when witnessed during one of their summer evening fountain shows choreographed to themed prerecorded music and a computer programmed light show presentation. Again, perfection. Not to forget their yearly holiday display which draws thousands and thousands of visitors in the approximately month and a half that it is open with extended hours into the evening beyond their typical closing time. A holiday tradition not to be missed!

Elisa Wounderly

Hours of enjoyment! If you enjoy plants of any kind, you'll love LG. The main fountain show at night was fantastic. Set to music, the water and light show is worth waiting for. Show started at 9:15 and lasts 45 min. LG is one of my favorite places.

Stephen Crawford

Great place to spend at least a few hours. Staff are helpful and. polite. Always something special. S

Such a beautiful and incredible place - the gardens and fountains are magical. We love grabbing a beverage and spending the afternoon here. Tons of great events year-round, too.

Verna Clayton

This is a little piece of Heaven's beauty and grace! Just the most awesome 5 hrs I have spent anywhere - I want to go back for the Christmas pageantry and back for 2020's season of beauty and the resturants 1906 was incredible the chefs were awesome as was the food!! I have lived in Harford County for 8 yrs and have never been to Longwood before, however I have found a new resting and rejuvenating spot! Blessed by our Father God.

benhur dutth

It’s a beautiful garden you need minimum half a day. We don’t know dogs are not allowed so me and my wife have to take turns. Lot of people don’t know about this Gardens after our visit we are letting people know.

Suhas Chandrashekhara

An amazing place to be at for a whole day. They have the most beautiful and enormous water fountains. They dance to the music . It's a totally different experience to see the musical fountains up close and from far away, right outside the green houses. Just below the water fountain is a spectacular water fall. The whole garden is picturesque with lots of flowers, trees , couple of tree houses.

Faith Young

A photographers dream is this place. I had been here in early November of '17, and when I came back a few days ago, I came across places I didn't get to see last time I was there! There is so much to see and explore, it's really like a dream here. I couldn't give it more praise. I will definitely be back!!

Sandy Ozolins

Although the evening was humid, being on the grounds of Longwood made it quite bearable. Went to see the luminaria display...awesome! Place was sold out. Very organized...shuttle buses very convenient. Beer garden featured music, the Kennett Symphony was also giving a concert and the fountain show that evening featured music from The Wizard of Oz. Something for everyone! A delightful way to spend the night!
