As you know, we don't usually stop to place evaluations when they are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Gardener is classified in the category of Botanical garden.
The gardens are very well maintained and a nice place to take a walk through. The butterfly garden is very calm and interesting to see all of the different species of butterflies that they have.
I give it 3 1/2 stars. Price is good for what they have there. Plants and trees looked a little wilted. Their Chinese garden could use more work. No comparison to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. Not bad for a quick escape. It was a Gr8 day for it!
I visited these beautiful on a sunny breezy day and loved it. Being that I truly enjoy taking photos of flowers, I was in seventh heaven here. Took around 300 or so photos. Don't think you have enough room for them here. Hope to return soon. This trip inspired me to seek out other botanical gardens on the map to visit. Thanks, Google Maps.
The indoor part with the butterflies was pretty neat , but this place was really kind of small. If entry hadn't come as part of the package that we paid for at the Hershey Lodge, I probably would have been pretty disappointed to have paid for this.
If you love plants and a peaceful place, this is a great visit. Highly recommend it.
Absolutely beautiful carved pumpkins just in time for Halloween
Very nice relaxing walk through the gardens, if you enjoy flowers and exploring gardens it's worth it. Other wise there isn't anything special compared to other gardens except for the butterfly room
Absolutely beautiful. The staff are wonderful
First time here and it was amazing! The scare crows were so cute and scary at the same time, my boyfriend actually took us back to the bench area with Snow White was placed and asked me to marry him! Little does he know, Snow White was my favorite movie growing up!!
Loved the butterfly garden!
Amazing place to visit so lovely in many ways
Butterflies and roses were spectacular!
Definitely worth a stop. My husband and I brought our two teenage boys, surprisingly they both enjoyed the gardens!
Gorgeous inside and out! The butterflies are amazing and the gardens beautiful...worth repeat trips!
A must see in Hershey, PA! The staff is wonderful! Well worth the money.
Absolutely loved the butterfly atrium, it's pretty humid in there but well worth it. Great assortment of rare trees around the grounds.
Beautiful flowers and amazing butterfly garden, gift shop was overpriced but everything else was amazing.
So much to see and it has some interactive stops for kids to play with/on! It was the first time we went and we really enjoyed being able to see it all and walk around
Beautiful, although we were too late for tulips and daffodils and too early for roses. Beautiful grounds, nice day for walking.
Fun place for all ages. Paved paths for strollers and wheel chairs. Beautiful landscapes & pretty butterflies.
A very beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. It's perfect for taking a quiet walk and for a day out with your family. Lots of interesting things to see.
Wife has wanted to visit for years ......I'm glad we went .....pretty neat.
Very beautiful garden. Good place to spend 2 hours or so with family.
Simply a Beathtaking environment, Great stop for the family and photos!
Great place to visit. I have only been once for a special event but hope to go back. Don't miss the butterfly house.
We had a volunteer day at the gardens. Beautiful gardens as usual.
Rose garden is amazing and so is the garden! Love be there during this time of the year!
It was a great place. Bigger than I thought.
Always love a trip to the gardens. It was raining, so we spent most of our time in the new butterfly house. It was awesome and we had a great time despite the weather!
The flowers and greenery were beautiful. It is a very nice stroll throughout the property with numerous places to sit and take it all in. From the main gazebo you have a view of the fountain and the many rows of the brightly "painted" roses. At this time, I did not see water running throughout the garden as it was set up to do and I am not sure as to when this might take place. The Japanese bridge area looks like there could be some work needed to spruce it up a bit and that may happen farther into the season. The children's garden was well thought out and a fun addition to the garden. Overall, it is definitely an attraction for weddings and receptions if anyone is looking. A gorgeous backdrop for that special day with plenty of space for everyone and a big tent for a reception. Enjoy the view!
Such a beautiful place. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND a visit here when in town.
Beautiful gardens. The butterfly atrium is small but great to see.
Beautiful gardens, very well maintained!! Stroll thru Butterfly house & if Lucky one (or more) land on you. Whether you're a child or adult.. it's worth the stroll
Very beautiful and my kids really enjoyed the kid's garden and butterflies
Clean and gorgeous. My wife and Mom were in heaven and my baby loved the butterfly atrium!
Great place to take your children.
This is a must stop if you're in the area. Absolutely beautiful place to go for a relaxing walk. If you need a place to find some since of calm, this is it.
Beautiful gardens! Nice butterfly experience
What a delightful afternoon. The butterfly atrium was my personal favorite, not to take away from the beautiful gardens themselves or the many wonderful flowers and plants on display. Well kept and beautiful. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There were some insects on display and a very nice gentleman told us all about them and even let you hold one. My kids had a blast in the children's garden as well as the butterfly atrium. I easily could have spent a few more hours just browsing and taking photos. I appreciate the work that has gone into making the gardens what they are and will gladly be returning soon. Thank you to everyone involved.
Wonderful gardens indeed! Many varieties of roses and other flowers. Beautiful flowering shrubs. Children's garden with lots to do and learn. I like the butterfly house. Interesting enough to occupy large groups for several hours. This place is a must see!
Wonderful place to wander around. Was not crowded.
Lovely walk around the gardens
Oh so beautiful!! The color and fragrance intrigue you senses. The flower gardens, Rose's and lawn are perfectly manicured . If only my flowers at home looked as awesome!
Just wow. If you are looking for a romantic way to spend an afternoon this is the place. Around every corner there is beauty. Stopping by the butterfly room on your way out is a must. All the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, a wonderful place to spend a sunny April Saturday.
It's so big and beautiful at Hershey gardens . Alot to look at
The butterfly atrium was really neat. It wasn't just the kids who enjoyed it!
Even in the fall as the leaves were beginning to change colors the flowers were still in bloom! So many roses and countless other flowers, trees, and flowers! Did I mention there were lots of flowers? There was also a kids zone that we got some great ideas for implementing at our house with our kids. This was a great date destination even taking kids would be fun!
Perfect place if you like to photograph. They have a butterfly atrium as well that is free with the gardens admission. I recommend using the garden map they provide to be sure you dont miss an area of the gardens.
Very beautiful, family had a nice time.
We loved it. It's are first time hear and loved it so much.
Rose is my favorite flower so I enjoy it lot
Just beautiful. Wish I could have spent more time there, so much to see.
An exceptional experience which was more than expected. Very beautiful and well maintained gardens. We enjoyed walking around with our children.
This was in the lovely hershey hotel made by milton hershey for his wife . The hotel ground are very bueatiful3. I have stayed at the hershey hotel many times to see this garden. The hotel and grounds are even breath taking in the winter.
A great spot to visit during June. Sitting on top of a hill looking down Hershey Park is Hershey Garden. We had an experienced tour guide and gardener show us the many varieties of roses, trees and monuments. We enjoyed a nice time in the butterfly garden which was included with the admission. The volunteers and employees here were very pleasant.
Beautiful! Restful and gorgeous. Took about 2 hours to see it all at a very leisurely pace. Live it. Very family friendly.
I wish badly that someone had informed me my submission could be free because I was a guest at the Hershey Lodge. When I emailed hoping for some kind of partial voucher or at least an apology, I received no reply. Still, the exhibits, gardens, and especially the butterflies, are amazing and I'll certainly go back. The staff were knowledgeable, and next time I'm attending a conference in Hershey I'll know this is part of the Lodge package and won't accidentally pay unnecessarily.
Quite a peaceful place to spend two - three hours in. We joined...
It was pretty and all.... but was not aware of the long distances on the walking trails. Would be good to have distances posted on your visitors map. Gardens werent in bloom when we wrre there, so there was an awful lot of green. Kind of just blends all together.
I enjoyed the gardens. There is very nice interactive children's garden. However my favorite spot was the Butterfly house.
Worth the visit - especially if you are staying on Jersey property (Hotel, Lodge, Campgrounds) as the tickets are free for those folks. Well designed and maintained. One of the best fixed site butterfly exhibits, period. Lot a to do, touch and explore for pre-schoolers on up. Most areas are wheelchair/scooter accessible. Great views of the park and vista.
Want something memorable? Go to Hershey Gardens and visit the butterfly exhibit. It takes just 10 minutes to meander through it, but it's worth it. Live butterflies all over, in living beautiful color.
Loved it, for sure going back. Beautiful gardens. Wear good footwear! People very friendly also!
Was a wonderful experience but need to come back in the summer when roses are in bloom and the other flowers are blooming also. Too early in the year for full affect
Great place for a walk and appreciate some beautiful plants, mostly roses. The kids garden and the butterfly room is a must visit.
I missed the tulips so it was a little dead when I went but still beautiful! Plan your trip and make sure you don't miss the blooms!
We loved the garden at Hershey. We received complimentary tickets while staying at Hershey hotel. The butterfly room was really neat. The butterflies were beautiful and the staff was very knowledgeable. "Your Property, Our Priority" #KeepingUpWithTheKerezsis
Beautiful gardens! Lovely to walk around and see all the plants and flowers. Went first thing in the morning so there was no crowd. All the roses were in peak bloom and it was wonderful!
The Butterfly House was by far the best one I've been inside. Not sure if that was the season or what, but so many butterflies nearly everyone had one land on them. The Gardens are also amazing. I was so surprised because people go to Hershey bit don't talk a ton about the Gardens. Completely worth a visit. We will be back when we visit Hershey again.
Lots of different plants and trees to see, and the butterfly house is fantastic.
Lots of unique trees, smells of lilac drifting around, beautiful tulip garden (we were there 3rd week April). Large rose garden -we'll be back to see that in bloom and see what else is blooming
The roses were absolutely stunning!! God is quite the artist! And the butterfly house was awesome. 2 sat on my hat. Had a great time.
Beautiful gardens. Visit, there is so much to explore here.
Love the garden and the children's garden as well. Ample of different gardens to view.
Arboretum, butterflies and walk-around gardens in a beautiful landscaped area make this one of the most tranquil places I have been too....
Gorgeous. Everything was well labeled and the butterfly garden was tranquil - even with children present.
Absolutely incredible place. Beautiful trees and flowers on a beautiful piece of land. This is fun for the whole family, with paved trails and kid friendly areas. Bring good walking shoes if you want to do the whole area. Butterfly atrium is worth checking out as well. Mothers Day special- Moms get to come in for free! I think this place has something to offer for everyone and is definitely a must see for the area.
Absolutely gorgeous! Everything was just perfect and well taken care of!
My youngest daughter has been on a "it's all about butterflys" kick. So while we stopped at Hershey Park for the day and spent a night at Hershey Lodge. (to celebrate birthdays) Whom gave us complimentary tickets to the garden. It was like destiny to go. We spotted a few birds and butterflys that we knew, like an American Goldfinch and a hummingbird. as well as what I believe was a swallowtail outside.
Beautiful place. One of the best botanical gardens out there and definitely a must see in Hershey.
We went here today for homeschool day today. Honestly we had a great time. The last 30 minutes we were there we visited the butterfly atrium. It could have been a great experience like the rest of the day, however an employee named Barbara was rude, uninviting and completely poisoned the whole event with her lack of people person skills. At one point my children sat on the floor and were trying to sit perfectly still in hopes a butterfly would land on them and she began to yell at them from across the atrium telling them they couldn’t do that....they couldn’t try to get a butterfly to land on them on purpose. WHAT? I left quite angrily after that.
Beautiful well planned and easily accessible.
Lovely gardens. Butterfly atrium is marvelous
Interesting and very well maintained garden
Seasonal place for sure but garden is pleasure to be at. Can spend hours.
Beautiful place with a nice view to the whole city. I really like the butterfly exhibition area which is amazing. The butterflies will stay on your shoulder and makes the place like in a dream.
Not very big nor special. Nice to visit and neat butterfly exhibit.
Took mom there for her birthday. We had a fantastic day looking at the flowers and spending time with the butterflies
We've always enjoyed going here. My wife is the gardener in our family, and appreciates it more while I like just getting outdoors in a beautiful setting. This last time, we went on a guided tour that made the walk very interesting. The guide, a volunteer, is very knowledgeable and passionate about the flowers, trees, etc.
Lovely butterfly conservatory and garden, well worth a visit if you're in Hershey. Pleasantly surprised to see they offered umbrellas to protect your skin from the midday sun.
Great botanical garden, year round butterfly atrium with cacao trees, kids garden with instrume ts to play and large diversity of trees and plants outside from the japanese gardens to the nut grove.
Hershey Gardens are beautiful; especially, it has very beautiful rose garden and a butterfly garden with many pretty alive butterflies. I wish this garden has cozy and pretty cafe or opening its cafes on weekday afternoon at least. I rate 4 stars because of this reason. I wish I could have a good coffee with delicious dessert made if Hershey products in the garden cafe.
Beautiful! Went here around Christmas time to see all the decorated trees but there wasnt much more to see other than that then. We went back at the beginning of spring and saw so much that we loved that we decided to get year passes to go anytime we want! Looking forward to going back and seeing the roses bloom around the pond!
Well maintained, rich with color family friendly gardens. Beautiful!
For a mid April day, it was beautiful. There were alot of spring flowers and plants in bloom. We got lucky enough to see the butterfly atrium and the children's garden.
A great place to vist if you like outdoor gardens. A wonderful butterfly conservatory
The churches of Hershey have an Easter Sunrise Service at the Gardens every year. Afterwards you can wander through the gardens. Beautiful way to celebrate Easter morning.
The rose garden here is beautiful. The butterfly house is interesting. However, I don't feel that the value for money is as good as Longwood Gardens.
Loved the gardens. It is definitely worth a visit if you at the hotel.
Always a delightful place to spend an hour or two. The roses this time of year are top notch.
Awesome place to go for a walk in with the family or a date! Its immaculate they have displays all year long. In the spring and summer the colors are vibrant from a whole host of flowers and plants. The butterfly room was really cool with dozens of different species; the kids will love it. Well worth the admission price.
It's so beautiful there. The gardens are gorgeous. Loved the butterfly building.
Such a beautiful place. A must.
Lovely gardens. Lovely roses. The butterflies were amazing.
They have a wonderful butterfly garden you should visit.
It was beautiful and so much fun. There wasn't a single dull moment. Totally affordable
Beautiful gardens on a gorgeous windy day. I just wished that everything was already in bloom but it was too early in the season. The Butterfly Atrium was awesome. Definitely recommend going there.
The grounds keepers were all mowing. Instead of a peaceful stroll around the gardens, we had noise and dust was blowing around. Really? They should mow during the hours tourists are not there. The rock garden was disappointing. Roses were gorgeous.
Beautiful place. Just take your time and enjoy it.
Great place to relax. So many varieties of plants and flowers. The butterfly garden is sweet, make that a definite stop.
I went during February, so there wasn't much to see in the outdoor part of the gardens. The grounds were still pretty to see covered in snow, but the butterfly garden in the main building is definitely the main attraction during the winter (it is a worthwhile opportunity to see so many butterflies up close!). I happened to be here during the Orchid Show and Sale, which seems to be an annual event. The orchids were stunning and it was great to see all the regional growers' hard work.
Beautiful, relaxing gardens that can be seen at your own pace....allow several hours to see all the gardens, displays and butterflies!
Live 12 miles away and finally decided to visit!!! WOW wish I would have visited sooner. Went when flowers were blooming and there was a light breeze with the smell of roses. What a relaxing and enjoyable time.
The butterflies were amazing. Very calm environment. Beautiful gardens on a very beautiful day. A must see if you're in the Hershey area and not going to the park for the day.
First time visitor and I loved it!! The wedding Expo was beautiful and the whole place was just gorgeous, everyone is so nice!!
An excellent place to visit if you have a few hours and enjoy gardens. I really enjoy the new butterfly house and taking photos of the butterflies. The outdoors is drab in winter but in the summer it is very beautiful. Definitely recommend.
Beautifully designed grounds, friendly staff & super cool butterfly room.
Very nice place. The view from the pathway when just walking in is breathtaking. Also, staff was very sweet and knowledgeable. I really liked the butterfly atrium because it felt like we were in a real tropical climate. The butterflies were beautiful and seemed very well taken care of.
Beautiful place to see!!
Beautiful place to stroll, relax, enjoy nature and photograph. You must visit the butterfly habitat during your visit.
Lovely outdoor gardens and neat butterfly garden inside. A beautiful, serene spot.
We went before spring started to bloom so we missed out on the gardens.. but the kids love the children's garden! The butterfly atrium was the best part. It's very warm and humid inside l, but the butterflies are free in there. They will actually land on you! It was a neat experience.
There are soo many plants to see. Bigger than your average garden. It takes a long hike to get to the other side. You can teach your kids the different types of butterflies with a guide. The plants each have a little sign telling you what type of plant it is. Really educational and fun!
Beautiful gardens. Lots of plants and flowers. Butterfly room alone is worth the trip. Makes a great, quiet stop during a trip to Hershey. Kids enjoyed the Children's Garden, too.
Absolutely beautiful if you enjoy nature at its purest and best. Highly recommend. It's best to visit when the weather is nice out to get the full experience.
Absolutely loved it! Especially the children's garden! We spent the most time there with our kids. My daughter just loved to stop and smell the Rose's! Lol. The butterfly pavilion was one of the best I've ever seen.
Love the Butterfly Habitat. The Gardens are beautiful
Absolutely beautiful with fascinating botanical specimens. The butterfly atrium is worth the price of admission alone!
Beautiful place to leisurely walk around and experience all kinds of flowers and plants. Many places to sit and enjoy the view. Butterfly house is a must!
A glorious fall season and the Hersey Gardens are in top shape !!
First time going to the garden in the spring. It is amazing!! If you are in the area come to the garden and be blessed.
A beautiful garden developed in the rural areas. Enjoyed ourselves. Good for kids and all. Separate for children and Japanese garden very attractive .
Incredibly gorgeous, the whole family loved it here from 4 years old to 65. 100% worth a visit. I wish we scheduled in more time to spend here because the grounds are expansive and worth the time to stroll. We just love everything about the gardens, learning about vegetable gardens and local plants, the butterflies made everyone smile and the roses are heavenly. A must-see in Hershey!
Small butterfly exhibit. Don't go on a humid day, inside exhibit is like a tropical rain forest.
The gardens are exquisite. We would go back again. There us so much beauty to explore!
Beautiful roses, if that's your thing. There's a children's garden, a butterfly atrium, and more on the grounds. Free admission for guests of Hotel Hershey!
Beautiful place to visit! The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable, especially about the butterflies. The grounds are surprisingly huge
Taking a walk in the garden was so tranquil that I almost forgot I was right across the street from the Park! The butterfly atrium was a joy to be in with lots of brightly colored butterflies going about. Definitely worth a second visit!
The tulips were in spectacular full bloom on this Easter Sunday. There was a great variety on display. The arbitorium, with it's spring show of colors, was also breathtaking. In addition, as always, the butterfly house was delighful.
Beautiful place. Unfortunately the summer has been very hot so many of the flowers were done for the summer but the roses were beautiful and smelled heavenly
Awesome gardens. Beautifully done.
Nice for a romantic walk. The butterfly room is very fun and worth the price of admission.
Awesome place in the month of June when the roses are blooming! We were there on a breezy, sunny day and the fragrance wafting on the breeze was truly lovely! They also have a neat butterfly house. Lots & lots of butterflies flitting around you! It was interesting to watch the butterflies "eat" watermelon!
Gorgeous property and gardens... numerous places to find shade; historical plants... highly recommend.
I enjoyed it! If you like gardens it was worth the visit!
Nice grounds. Children’s area is nice as well. There’s an atrium there where when not in use, kids can use and pretend to put on shows.
A spooky treat for whole fam!
Nice campground, quiet before the park opens. Beautiful gardens. Nice chocolate tasting at the museum in town.
