Great place for unique plants
Friendly staff that welcomed questions.
Affordable and unique plants.
Amazing staff. You can bring you old plants to them and they will try and help you bring it back to life or whatever you need. If you buy a plant from them they'll pot it there for you with some nice rocks and such. Everytime I go there I try to let the ladies there work whatever magic they want and I always leave with some stellar plants and the know how of how to take care of them! Never be afraid to ask about how to take care of the plant you just bought! They'll be glad to help :) Happy customer and will continue to go back.
Although the plants are obviously fantastic, I’m in love with the planters that they have! And not expensive either! Here is one I used for a new cutting. ❤️
This place is definitely the best gardening store in the area. They have a big collection of different plants and accessories for gardening. They are also very helpful and professional. Every time I am visiting this store I get answers to all my questions regarding how to treat my plants. They are so nice!
I would often take my mother and grandmother to a restaurant nearby. Afterwards my grandmother just had to go to City Planter and look at the exotic plants and planters etc. She would slowly walk around trying to decide what she wanted while asking questions. I always appreciated the way anyone in the store treated her with patience and gentleness. You guys are number one on my list for that. It meant the world to my grand. Thank you!
Pretty cool place with a large selection
Great place. Owner extremely helpful
Quaint flower shop that is not ostentatious given the fact that it is located in the city as I have found plant stores are not as common in the city as in the suburbs. I used to work at Waterloo Gardens a long time ago (closed for a while now) and I was surprised with how much variety there was at City Planter. Even though Urban Jungle is larger, I found the managers of both stores to be helpful even if they did not carry the product. That kind of helpfulness is what keeps one coming back.
Great place to wait while waiting for your spot at Honey's cafe!
First time going here but i will be back. This place is much bigger than the outside makes it look. They sell all kinds of plants- indoor, outdoor, and plants come with a caresheets about what kind of lighting and watering is needed. They have plenty of cacti, succulents, peace lillies, and more. They also have marimo moss balls in terms of aquatic plants. They sell pots as well and will pot your plants for you if the plant you get is not already potted. Definitely a place to visit

A very inviting environment that was not only welcoming but also simple to navigate and get accustomed to. The staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about any questions I posed, it made the visit all the more pleasurable. The plants and media there were unique and quite charming, I'll certainly return there in the near-future.
I'm new to the neighborhood and fairly a novice with plants. Julie was very helpful in giving me a few good options at a reasonable price. The store is a great space too... real Zen. :)
Friendly staff, good prices, limited selection
Cool to check out. Overpriced.
Adorable neighborhood shop nestled between two cafes. This place boasts a good selection of (reasonably priced!) indoor and outdoor plants that are constantly rotating depending on the season. They have a selection of beautiful planters and ceramic pots scattered throughout the store, as well as materials to make terrariums. The helpful and knowledgeable staff can give you tips on how to take care of any of the plants in the store, as well as re-pot any plant you select into the planter/pot of your choice. The environment in City Planter is so lush and open with plants mounted on the walls and growing from the rafters. I love this place and will keep coming back!
You can, and will want to get lost in this store. City Planter has the biggest and most beautiful selection of plants I have found in the city. The majority of the store is angled towards inside plants but during spring and summer they have more flats of plants for outdoor gardening. They have several different types of plants and a fun selection of pots and gifts too. Between the selection of plants, the gifts, the gardening supplies and the friendly staff it is very easy to loose track of time here. Their prices are reasonable and several of the plants I've bought here are not only healthy but thriving. So I always feel confident that I'm getting accurate care tips and advice.
This place is so cozy and happy. Their selection is wonderful - there was great variety and all the plants were healthy. The prices were great too! On top of it all, the employee who rung me up answered my questions about a plant I didn't even buy there. I can't wait to go back.
They are so nice --- I told them a plant I had (not from them) had root rot, and they gave me a bag of soil so that I could re-pot for a dollar, when I was walking in and expecting to buy a fully priced bag of soil at retail. On top of that I explained that I'd ruined a nice pot of my own by putting soil directly in without a plastic guard, they gave me three plastic liners for free. I bought a beautiful plant that I love and the whole trip was under ten dollars. Nice people, beautiful plants.
Beautifully arranged and a very well maintained store. I absolutely loved being here. Bought some plants too.I highly recommended to atleast give a visit
Loved the indoor jungle feel of the store so much, great plant selection for beginners and pretty cheap prices for their smaller plants. Overall they're a great place to stop by if you're looking to add to your plant obsession.
I have made quite a few purchases of plants from City Planter. They have a wide variety of houseplants that are kept in really good condition for a fair price. The staff is also very helpful!

Very knowledgeable workers and the owner was in on a Saturday when we visited. They'll pot the plant there for you and send you away with specific care instructions handwritten out. Excellent
I came into this shop with my snake plant that I thought needed to be repoted due to it looking too big for its current pot. I was ready to drop 30+ dollars on a bigger one and if I had been told that it needed a new one I wouldn't have questioned it. Instead a really nice woman that was in the shop not only told me that I didn't need to spend money on a new pot, she also went ahead and filled in the soil and even placed a bamboo stick in it with some string to keep some leaves upright which had been falling due to my overwatering (which she explained I was doing.) And she didn't charge me anything for all that help... I was so grateful that I bought a little ZZ plant just to say thank you. Needless to say, I'll be returning to this place whenever I need anything plant related.
Love this place! A great pit stop on the way to brunch. Decent selection, so so price, tremendous staff
Great place for air plants and other decorative house plants.
Everything I have gotten from City Planter has been very healthy. All of the staff are very knowledgeable about plant care so you can ask them the specific water and lighting needs when you buy a plant, or are considering one. The inventory changes often, so it is always fun to look around.
I asked someone to buy aur plants for me and they had huge variety of plants.
The staff are all very friendly and very helpful, so many options to choose from!
Small, adorable, funky, plant shop with a seasonally good variety of plants. Always a fun shop to visit with classes periodically on a Friday night which are a ton of fun.
Great selection of plants! Love all of the options for house plants. I told them I get a lot of natural light, but not direct sunlight and they were able to point me in the direction of plants that would thrive in that environment. Also complimentary potting when you buy a pot. Can't wait to go back!

Wonderful little shop for flowers and plants of many varieties.
Fantastic store: beautiful space, great selection, and super helpful staff
I love my trips to the City Planner. It is a nice space. The Folks that work there are very nice and very helpful. Pleasant atmosphere.
I had a plant repotted and purchased at plant as well… The place was recommended to me by a friend and it was everything they said it would be, amazing! Susan was very helpful and made my decision for the plant very easy because of her knowledge… I will definitely return and recommend to friends as well!
Amazing selection and very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Nice collection of Plants and pots & Very welcoming staff. We purchased alot of indoor plants from here and no regrets so far.
Nice plants and nice pots.
The quality and selection of the plants is good, they carry some interesting and less common plants beyond the boring usual ones. I love that they sell items from Gary's Specialty plants. The only thing that bugs me is that many of the plants are unlabeled, and several times the staff didn't know the name or the correct name. How are people supposed to care for an expensive plant if they can't even look it up? The staff seem lovely, but more than once I've been given misinformation and about said unlabeled plants, which is a bummer.
Great garden shop! Very clever plant and garden tools and accessories
Very friendly and helpful staff, good selection for a small shop in the city
Very informative staff!
I really enjoy this shop. I have found many unique plants here. I really like the atmosphere of the shop. I have done a store pick up twice with them and the staff is always really friendly.
Really cool store with reasonable prices. Worth the trip if you don't live nearby.
