My immediate needs were to replace all my red tip shrubs along my property border, replace several dead shrubs in a raised bed, clean my small koi pond and solve a standing water problem in my backyard. While I knew there were several Nursery & Landscaping companies to choose from, I placed my trust with a Landscaping Company I viewed as a landscape business leader that’s focused on providing results. In my opinion, that company is Green Biz Nursery & Landscaping. Why? In a nutshell, they’re very dependable and dedicated while remaining focused on delivering quality service to customers. Initially, I had no idea where to start with my project, but Anna Langenfield arrived on the scene with creative landscaping ideas, and help me with my decision-making. Shortly thereafter, the grounds crew showed up and did a fabulous job with placing my new shrubs and mulch. The grounds crew did an excellent job answering all my questions. Needless to say, we recently had a rainfall and I went looking for standing water. To my surprise, I didn’t observe any standing water. Bond also did a fantastic job with following up with me on my pond pump issues. I cannot omit the one staff member I perceive as a shining star, and the best of the best from Green Biz Nursery & Landscaping, Lucy Huntington. I’ve never met Lucy in person, but did speak with her telephonically on more than one occasion. During multiple calls with Lucy, she constantly displayed excellent communication and management skills. I can assure you when you communicate with Lucy, you will immediately feel appreciated as a customer. Lucy is without a doubt an asset and consummate professional that’s committed to exceeding customer expectations. My conclusion is Green Biz does walk their talk. I’m looking forward to my next landscape project and Green Biz will be my choice.

The nursery is wonderful. I wish I knew about this place a long time ago. I went for plants but got an education with the plants. It's awesome that the staff actually knows what they're talking about! I wanted to buy a plant, but after talking to the staff, they steered me to a different species because if I planted what I originally wanted to, it would not live in the direct sunlight for 8 hours. Rather than just sell me the plants I asked for they educated me. Very grateful for this place.

I had to have a huge tree removed. I had been on several deployments and my landscaping really really got bad. I called Michelle, she sent Brian over to look at it. Brian sent me back an estimate that was a lot lower in price than I was expecting. We set a date, then a few days later Michelle called me saying she had an opening the next day. They guys came over and removed the tree and did all the landscaping WHILE I WAS SLEEPING ! I swear they didnt even wake me up. My dog didnt even bark. I went out and looked at it and it turned out better than Brian said it would. Hard to believe, but I feel like I ripped them off. Great Job Guys... Thank you

My husband and I are unhappy with GreenBiz Service. GreenBiz overcharges and underdelivers. GreenBiz lied to me about work they said they did when it was clear through photographic evidence that they had not done it. GreenBiz made their own decisions to put in plants with different color flowers than I wanted and even changed the species of one plant they installed so it's a totally different type of plant than what I requested. GreenBiz installed the different species of plant without even asking me, first. None of the plants planted by Greenbiz have flowers on them, and I specifically requested plants with flowers currently on them for curb appeal. For the money, the plants installed by GreenBiz are about one-third of the size and maturity of the plants GreenBiz should have installed. GreenBiz split the delivery of my service into two separate segments (in totally separate weeks - weeks apart) without telling me in advance. GreenBiz people were defensive when I called out to them what they had done wrong. GreenBiz people several times returned my calls after their business hours and didn't leave information / answers to questions over the phone when they knew there was no way for me to call them back and reach a live person. GreenBiz didn’t do the landscape work they agreed to do, charged a lot of money and put in scrawny plants. They overcharge and underdeliver. I suspect they or their close friends and family members wrote all the positive reviews themselves. Avoid GreenBiz!

After being burnt by several contractors we decided to go with a company. Green Biz is pricy, but very reputable! The company was very professional and communicated thoroughly every step. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, but they came and saw my problem, and provided me with a plan to fix it. The estimate was accurate, the work was quick, and they were able to accommodate every request I made, not to mention our yard looks amazing!

I called this business to ask about purchasing air purifying plants for my home. Since I'm not familiar with a lot of the plants in that category I asked the woman on the phone with them I have a long those lines. She said I can just come out and look for myself. She was very short with me, she was in no way helpful at all and acted as if I was bothering her. I appreciate when a business provides good customer service and this place is lacking in every sense of the word.

Let me tell you customers, To impress me is a hard feat and after yesterday this company surpassed my level of satisfaction. I started coordinating with this company to get a new yard put in. I chose the hydroseed option which is cheaper than sod, but after two weeks of growth I am very pleased. We had it installed and 3 days later there was massive flooding. Long story short they came back out and fixed all the areas at no cost in a reliable time. They also did a mulch job for our yard and it looks amazing. They were professional at all times, handled all my needs, and were fast to take care of buisness

Brian Jammer and designer Kristin Lawson along with their Green Biz crew just completed an awesome makeover of our patio. We have worked with Brian many times before with landscaping. He and his crew removed multiple holly trees and replaced them with medium and large arbor vitae trees. Mind you they did all of this work in one day after 2 weeks of soaking rain.There was no evidence of any Bobcat tracks or ruts in our back lawn. We still are not sure how they pulled of this feat. And there were no mud tracks on our long driveway. Pristine work. A second set of trees were planted and our front yard plantings reworked just as Brian had drawn it out. Some of the trees did not survive our freezing winter and the trees were replaced without any questions. They guarantee there work and trees. We were introduced to Kristin with our patio overhaul. She actually drew up a working sketch of what she thought would work in maybe 5 minutes. We gave her carte blanche to design the area and what type and color of pavers would work with the brick on our house. Kristin also added plantings and a beautiful Japanese maple for a focal point. She could just see it in her head, draw up the plan, and make it happen. The girl has serious skills. They had to break up an old, large cement patio, relocate a fountain, remove an old aluminum pergola and replace it with a stout cedar pergola with a retractable cover. They completed the job promptly and professionally. The area was always neat and clean after a full days work. We are so pleased with our new patio. We couldn't be happier with the results. We think Kristin has a talent for design and it shows in the results of her work. And Brian can definitely build anything you could want after seeing our new pergola go up. We could have closer companies help us, but we would rather travel to Fayetteville to let Green Biz take care of us. Oh yeah, they also completed some drainage and lighting projects at my Mom's house in the same neighborhood. She is quite pleased with the results since she has one of the premiere homes in the neighborhood. Thanks guys!! Awesome work!

Anna, the site inspector/planner was great. She showed up when she said she would and had everything planned out for us in a day. Green Biz did a great job. They were on time and adjusted to our changing challenges. We had a patio runoff issue as a result of a new concrete patio. The runoff was causing a large area of washout underneath the patio and large area of dirt washed away. Landscaping was going to help but would take a while to settle in and establish roots. Well no sooner did the landscape get finished the rain came and the wash out while less was still significant. Brian had the crew out the next day and Bond and the team got it taken care of. 4 rains and the remnants of Irma later everything still looks great. The shrubs were all as expected or larger. The sod looks great. We are quite pleased and when we are ready to do the front yard we will be calling Green Biz.

Green Biz is by far the #1 Nursery and Landscaping company in Cumberland County. I personally visited their business/nursery on Old Wilmington Road and was very impressed with the acres of plants/trees/shrubbery on site. I contracted to have two islands removed from my front yard which required removal of existing shrubbery and one existing stump. Everything was completed in two days including the installation of new sod, replacement tree and shrubbery. Kristin Lawson (landscaping designer) did an outstanding job! She made several trips to check the progress during the two day job. Upon completion she delivered the warranty documents along with letters of appreciation for selecting Green Biz. Outstanding company and staff!

Absolutely miserable experience. First I called to schedule an estimate and they put it on the wrong day and did not show up as scheduled. They did come out later that day after I had gone into work and provided an estimate and a gift card/certificate for their retail shop. It appeared they were trying to correct their mistake so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and contracted for hedge trimming. Came home from spending the night in the hospital following a surgery expecting to see trimmed hedges but no. Instead of trimming the hedges they mowed the grass and left ruts throughout the yard and all of the blooms blown off a rose bush. Went out to the company that evening after calling and having someone come look at the yard. That experience was horrible. I was told the trimming equipment was broken so they just decided to mow the grass instead of calling me to reschedule. I was also condescendingly told I didn't know how to care for the roses, that they needed deadheaded. I admit I don't know a ton about roses but learned from my grandma who has kept roses her entire life. I have learned how to deadhead roses, I've just never seen it done with a blower...They did refund my money and came out the following day to trim the hedges, however, I selected them based on the high Google reviews and felt this horrendous experience should be factored into anyone else's search on Google. We wanted to contract this service because we just moved into a house from a condo and between my travel schedule for work and my fiancé's scheduled surgery we just did not have time to purchase trimmers and trim them before his surgery. Next time I'll just purchase some trimmers and trim them myself.

I recently bought a home and quickly realized I needed a yard clean up. I had trees along my driveway with so much overgrowth that my car would be scraped every time I drove into the driveway. There were also weeds knee high around the flower bed, and a rose bush that had grown over 6 feet tall, taking over the deck. The crew that was sent out did a phenomenal job! They gave me my driveway back! They paid close attention to the small details that I didn’t even notice needed to be taken care of. They removed and cleaned all of the debris. I was not pleased! Workers were not professional, and did a horrible job of removing rocks and putting down mulch. The contract stated that rocks would be removed, and all they did was pour the mulch on top! I could have down that. The company did send another crew to correct the problem, however, all they did was sift through the mulch, and was only there for about 10 minutes, and were done! The overall service was not pleasant! There should have been communication on how the service would be performed, from the beginning. I still had to pay for the services that was incomplete and sloppy! I’m sorry, but this is not how you do business. I was very diasppointed in how the supposedly manager handled this situation. Basically saying that’s all he can do. If I still have to pay for a service, then it should be done correctly!

GreenBiz came out to do maintenance on my yard and did a fabulous job. I almost didn’t recognize my home! We have both pine trees and deciduous trees on our half acre yard. The amount of pine straw and leaves that comes with that is almost overwhelming. What would have taken my husband and I days to do, their crew came out and took care of in a few hours. They cleared all the leaves and pine straw from the grass. They were even able to remove most of the leaves from the pine straw beds and cleared the larger branches that had fallen from the pine trees. Terrible company to do business with. I paid for the front of my office to have some plants and landscaping done. A white box sits in front of my building and when I asked the technician, who is supposedly an expert, if the box could be moved/disguised/used his answer we “no it couldn’t be”. Turns out it’s a irrigation box and can be moved and even used for a new irrigation system. I also expressed concern with growing bushes under my building overhang. Technician assured me everything would grow. It has been 6 months now and nothing is growing in front of my building. Looks terrible for 6 months. The company’s response has been “just give it more time”. I’m not sure how much revenue $ I have lost to customers who value a nice looking building. Just had our first project with Green Biz completed and we are THRILLED not only with the final results but with the overall experience. The SCOPE of our work included: • Irrigation system on a ½ acre sodded lot • Drainage ditch • Stone retaining walls around the existing front and side beds • Removal of existing concrete pad and installation of new stone back patio with a fireplace and seating wall WHY GREEN BIZ? After much research, we chose Green Biz because of their reputation for quality service and products. Yes, they were more costly (not significantly) but from our initial consultation with Landscape Designer, Kristin Lawson, we felt we had made the right decision. Kristin patiently worked with us to ensure the project design was a good match with our home and stayed within our budget. DURATION: The project took approximately two weeks from start to finish. The landscape crew (anywhere from 2-3 people…crew size fluctuated ) took the two full weeks while the irrigation crew (3 persons) was done with the initial installation in three days. COMMUNICATION: The crew leaders, in addition to other Green Biz management, kept the lines of communication continuously open, informing us as to the work to be done each day and to get clarification on the details of the project, when needed. SERVICE/WORKMANSHIP: Great care was taken to ensure minimal collateral damage to the property during the project (e.g. excess sod torn up, exterior of home, etc.) and at the end of each day, the crew(s) cleaned and organized the work areas, driveway and sidewalks. All crew members were extremely polite, demonstrated professionalism and worked diligently in hot, humid weather. The workmanship in the stone walls, patio and fireplace speak for themselves. FUTURE PROJECTS: GREEN BIZ has earned their positive reputation and proven they are worth the extra cost. We plan to add to our recent project with landscaping beds and GREEN BIZ is certainly our “go to” landscapers now. THANKS GREEN BIZ!!!

We have used Green Biz the last five years for landscaping and irrigation services. They have always delivered exceptional service and workmanship. It is comforting knowing that they will do the job right and the quality will always be 10/10 every time. Please keep in mind if you want a landscaping job done right away, this company may not be for you. Their schedule is always full and you may have to wait weeks before they can get to you. But, it is worth the wait!

Just left Green Biz Nursery. It was my first visit there and everyone was so pleasant. Stephanie helped me pick out my rose bushes and load them into my car. She was AWESOME! It was a warm afternoon and I could tell she had been working hard all day, but she was patient with me as I poured over all of the beautiful roses. She had the kind of customer service I love to experience. The nursery itself is gorgeous. I am so happy with my purchases and I will be back!

Quite disappointed that a nursery this large didn't have much variety of trees or ornamental grasses or roses....the 3 things we were shopping for. The prices were quite high, we think it is to pay for all the extra decorations--a pond and bridge all lavishly landscaped. We won't be coming back.

Over the years, our backyard had become a disaster because of a steep grade, shade and water drainage problems. The time had arrived to seek help to redo the yard. We chose Green Biz, a landscaping company that had been in business 30+years with a reputation of honesty, expertise and great customer service. From the first meeting with Charles Allen & Von, until the time the job was complete we could not have been more happy with our choice. A plan was made and checked numerous times to be certain the grades were correct to channel the water runoff to the catch basins. The big day arrived! The crew arrived on time led by the amazing Roberto. They were never late and began work at 8 AM. The first day a 150 foot trench had to be dug by hand. The soil was extremely hard and the temps were hovering near 100s. It took all day to complete.They all dug together and stopped only to have lunch. I asked one young worker who was drenched with sweat from the heat if he liked his job. He gave me a big smile and said " yes ma'am I love working outdoors." The crew was courteous and knew exactly what to do; they worked like a well-oiled machine. I never saw a cell phone on the job and their lunch was 30 minutes onsite. All the materials were delivered and synchronized for the time that they were needed so there were no delays waiting. Von & Charles came by numerous times to check the project and answer any questions we might have had. The job site was left clean of debris each day. When the daunting job was complete, we looked out over the yard not believing what we were saw.... an "ugly duckling" yard transformed into this beautiful "swan! I wish I could show you the before and after pictures, you would be amazed, as we were! Many thanks to Bryan..the sod man, Kelly and Lucy at the office who fielded our many questions and got the answers, relayed messages, & kept us informed of date and times. We highly recommend Green Biz...they are a Stellar Company who give Stellar Customer Service. Their expertise and attention to every detail are 5 stars! Thanks Green Biz! Jack & Jeanie

Green Biz Landscaping is one of the most PROFESSIONAL businesses that I have came across in Fayetteville. Kristin created an awesome design for our front yard. First I’ll start with what they did right. Last summer they removed a lot of old overgrown landscaping and did it well. I was very pleased so I went with them on a larger (thousands of dollars) project and it WAS A DISASTER THAT JUST KEEPS ON GIVING. I am so frustrated I could cry. So the estimate went great. It took nearly 4 months for them to start the work. They started the work and almost nothing I wanted and discussed on the estimate was happening. Granted I’m very detailed and incredibly picky and I was absolutely clear and upfront during the estimate about how picky I am so please keep that in mind. The entire process of working with them was a complete hassle, from the landscaping, yard maintenance and incorrect billing. The landscaping folks tried installing the same junk I seriously paid them to remove (they were using new but the same type of materials). They didn’t fill in all the bald spots with sod, the ones I showed them during the estimate or the new dirt spots they actually created during the landscaping. That was only a few of the MANY issues. This was back last summer. The reason I’m posting my review now is because a majority of the plants I paid for did not come back this year as I was told they would and now my front yard is a mess with bald spots, dead shrubs and really TERRIBLE mixed grass because of the wrong grass seed they threw down because they ran out of sod. I went with GreenBiz based on a recommendation and was and am highly disappointed with them as a company and the poor work that I’m dealing with. I now have to have new shrubs put in and figure out how to fix this terrible mixed grass situation along with some bald spots as well.

Green Biz Nursery was superb in every way when they designed and installed a retaining wall in our front yard. The wall is beautiful and the wok was done quickly by professional and personable Green Biz employees. They also did a beautiful job in laying sod for our entire front yard. We are beyond pleased and have hired them for regular maintenance as a result of our positive experience. We were pleased from start (estimate) to finish, in part due to the professionalism and personableness displayed by everyone with whom we interacted.

The service I got was terrible... had a manager come out and view the problem. He said they'd replace dead plants... they came and replaced about 1/3 of them.... I got ripped off for $3400.00...

I had pavers placed around and in front of my pool as well as sod in the back yard. They were thorough and professional every step of the process. I was pleasantly surprised by their level of attention to detail. 5 stars because I felt like it was money well spent!

They figured out what I wanted; and also offered some helpful suggestions with detailed explanations of the benefits for my yard. If I had to complain, prices could be a little lower, but you pay for service, knowledge and products. (Its also a little far out there)

The entire process from start to finish was refreshingly professional. I called to have some landscaping redone and was not disappointed. The consultation went wonderfully, and when the day for work came everyone at my house was very professional. We had some delays due to rain and I was contacted every day to let me know what the progress was and when they would be able to work. I am very pleased with the flowers planted and the way all of my questions were answered. This is a great company, you may have to wait for the work to get done since they are super busy but i promise you that it is worth the wait!
