Wow! What an experience!! Will not go anywhere else after seeing what B B has to offer!! From the unbelievable choices, knowledgeable staff and beauty of strolling through the sales areas! I was welcomed walking in the door to leaving in the parking lot being ask if there was anything they could do to help me out. If i lived a little closer we would be in a first name basis! If you have not been here give it a try, there is no comparison and you will not be disappointed!!

On 9/11/19 I was in the area and purchased $48 worth of milkweed. It was a little pricey,but I needed it and explained that it was for all my monarch caterpillars. I put 2 plants in with them, came home from work to find 8 dead. I’m thinking there was some sort of pesticide used and I wish I had been told. I thought it was odd that they weren’t gobbling it up. BB Barns is a beautiful place, but be sure to specifically ask what they put in plants. My first clue should have been no Anphids.

Not inexpensive but worth the prices I'm not saying they are of a high price range, but you are paying for good quality plants and garden accessories. They have jewelry and handbags too !!!

This garden center is amazing! Large variety of plants, trees, etc. The gift shop has unique items, too. We were looking for a specific variety of azalea that no one else had, even online. They had it here! All of the plants were healthy looking and well cared for. A little higher in $, but well worth it for the quality.

Exceptional lawn and garden center. Wonderful help and assistance with any variety of plants, seeds, or tubers. They also carry exotics and greenhouse plants, such as African violets, orchids, and air plants. It's quite large, So plan for plenty of time. They are closed on Sundays.

Brisket was white way over cooked. Luella's is ten times better. They Sauce were good. Taste the Pork and it was just OK. Brisket should pull apart easily and I had to use a knife to cut it. They do give you lots of food and there was a waiting line. I will not go again.

My first place to look in Asheville. Not the cheapest but sale items are priced well. Always has one of the biggest selections. The farmers market is cheaper but quality there is sketchy at times and size is never as good. Wait for fall sales or mid summer sales. Skip the spring rush.

If you're ready to spend a lot of cash for a good-looking tree at BB Barns, listen up. I bought two trees from here. One survived (an elm); one didn't (a thunderhead pine). The pine cost $350. Both trees had girdling roots when I bought them, but of course I didn't know it at the time. They were sold in pots—and in the pots, trees are often wrapped in burlap. I planted the trees with amended soil, close to the surface and so forth—the way it's done. The girdling root choked the pine AFTER a year, when the warranty had expired. BB Barns took no responsibility for selling a tree in this condition in the first place. Nurseries know what they're selling you—or should—and that includes the plant's condition. And not sell you one that's bound to die. It's not enough just to know from the wholesaler from whence a plant comes. I learned that the hard way. Be careful!
