This is a truly phenomenal garden and nursery center, with equally phenomenal staff. We are incredibly discriminating patrons and have lived in the area for a very long time, having done business with nearly every nursery within a 50 mile radius. Unfortunately, Old Stone House (which is off the beaten path) hadn’t garnered our attention just yet, and it took us completely by surprise. We are doing a large yard renovation and Steve not only dropped everything he was doing, giving us personal attention, but literally drove to our home to oversee/guide and direct the planting location process. In a world of fast paced ventures and little focus on relationships, this was not only astonishing, but completely mind blowing and deeply appreciated! Who does that anymore?! I’ll tell you who - no one, but the staff/owners at Old Stone House. Steve’s knowledge is second to none and if you’re planning a small job or a large task, you’d be missing the mark completely if you didn’t pay them a visit for your project. We are now customers for life. Thank you Old Stonehouse - everything looks incredible!!!

Beautiful Christmas Decorations

So amazing. They have pony packs of veggies for $3. We've been searching for a year for 50 cent plants and haven't been able to find them. They grow everything at this location so you don't have to worry about climate acclimation. They even have compost; beautiful fine compost and way cheaper than Home Depot. Every one was very nice, very helpful, and very knowledgeable. They sure converted me to their business.

Really nice quality one of kind items, I thinkeverything is over priced. However I have bought several decorator items and Plants. The nursery is more expensive than comparable nurseries, its slightly better quality. I how ever won't go back there for any more garden related stuff. I bought a pair of Hydrangeas in November and one died even though we had a mild winter. They would not refund or replace their product. Excuse was that they only give a 90 day replacement. Home Depo is a half a mile up Pyramid and so is Walmart and both guarantee their shrubs and garden plants for a year from date of purchase. In other words they stand behind the quality of their products.

Chris was so absolutely friendly, knowlegable and helpful (polar opposite experience than what we endured at Moana). Great selection and beautiful gift shop as well. This will be our nursery of choice from now on. I did a short internet search for hedge shrubs and with my first visit, Chris explained quickly why my choice wouldn't work for me up in Virginia City and made an alternate suggestion. We returned and found the perfect plant and Chris facilitated a quick and easy purchase of 14 mock orange shrubs for our new hedge. THANK YOU CHRIS!!

Cannot say enough good things about this nursery. Beautiful selection of plants, knowledgeable staff, and on target prices.I am getting very bored with the big chain stores that are all offering the same flowers year after year; most of which you have to replace because a large majority of their plants do not tolerate our specific climate/zone. Old Stone House offers a fantastic selection and variety and comes with excellent care and planting advice from the very friendly staff. Old Stone House is definitely my official Go To garden nursery!

The nursery and gift shop is BEAUTIFUL, the staff is very knowledgeable (especially Tomara who was extremely helpful with selecting the trees and plants for the landscaping of my backyard), and new gift items are introduced that are appropriate with the seasons. If you are looking for that unique item to put in your garden or purchase as a gift, this is a great place to browse. I highly recommend Steve for landscape design and landscaping services. He has excellent follow through and worked with my budget. The crew did a fantastic job and completed the work days less than the estimated time frame. My backyard is beautiful and the results exceeded my expectations; I could not be happier with the outcome of the project!! After calling other landscaping companies who did not call me back and working with other landscaping companies who quoted three times my budget--and another who did not even follow up with a design or quote as promised, Old Stone House Gift & Garden was the clear choice and they delivered!! I am so thankful for their team!
