Some of the friendliest and most helpful staff that I have met at any pond store. Probably some of the best prices on imported koi that you will find anywhere in the midwest. Don't let those prices deceive you.The koi are from notable breeders, and they are beautiful to match.

I tend to do research before undertaking a project that I am not familiar with and hire an expert. I wanted to have a custom water feature, so I turned to Chalily. I have been there several times before and the owner Joe, is very helpful with product knowledge. On one of our prior trips, we spotted a orange ceramic Koi fish piece of statuary, we affectionately name, "Harley". Joe said, "we could make that into a fountain". My wife had many on-going serious health conditions and it was rather pricey, so we just purchased the statuary and put him on our patio. Unfortunately, my wife's health continued to decline and she recently passed away. As a living memorial honor of what was to be our 40th anniversary, I wanted to have Harley converted into a fountain. I called and spoke with Joe about it. I went to Chalily's, twice in one day, over 45 miles each way from my home. I even left him there so they could figure out the best way to install. Sensing the lack of concern, I called the day before they were to install at my home to make sure every thing was a go. I was told, "yeah, we aren't going to be able to do that tomorrow. We have been too busy getting ready for a sale to mess with that this week. We can work on that soon and reschedule for another day to install. Chalily is 100% of a luxury item store. It should be a joy to shop there. No one needs any thing they sell to exist in life. Customers should purchase items they offer, simply to enjoy at their home. Chalily's customer, care and compassion on this was a ZERO on the 10 point scale. They, (the entire staff) could have cared less if I purchased or not. If you want product knowledge, they generally have it. If you want to pay high prices, they definitely have that too. If you want excellent, prompt, customer service, with a sense of urgency, care and concern, you might want to look elsewhere. I went to one other place, for a very short visit and they are installing this week. Good bye, Chalily's, sorry I bothered you.

I was in need of a particular plant for my job so I turned to the experts at Chalily. To clarify my need I sent a photograph and asked if that was something they could supply- Joe replied that he knew the plant and he could get it for me- I thought with his background and a picture for reference I was sure to get what I needed and was willing to pay for it/I placed the order- I called back to check and spoke to an employee and asked to be told when the plants arrived and asked if they could take care of the plants till I picked them up - I was told yes and yes- I didn’t hear from them till I got an email from Joe asking if I still wanted them - I explained what had transpired and arranged to pick them up on Saturday - I went there and was shocked at what Joe was selling me - I sent a picture of a bright green plant full of spiral leaves that appeared to be 5-6 inches high- what he had were grey plants - with 2-3 straight leaves 18 inch in height- nothing like the picture- I was in disbelief- I asked if they could green up- Joe said - it was a seasonal thing- I asked why the leaves weren’t spiraled- He said that variety was unavailable I paid $90 for the 5 sad plants - and then started searching all over St Louis -St Charles to find what I needed- what I learned was this was a very common aquarium plant - it cost $2-$4 It is green year round - the spiral variety is readily available at Aqua World- Hours later I composed myself and called Joe- I asked why the plants he had sold me were so overpriced- he said he didn’t know- this was not a plant he usually sold - so he just looked for a supplier- suddenly he was not any kind of an expert- he pleaded ignorance- I really feel taken advantage of - when I first contacted him he acted like he knew- he could have directed me to an aquarium store and have been honest with me- I feel cheated- I have to explain to my boss what this outrageous bill for unusable plants is for - Don’t trust this place to be honest or fair In reply to your comments- when I sent you a photo of the plant I needed, you did not tell me it was an aquarium plant . You said “I know the plant” if it was not something you knew you could get quality - then please - send me somewhere else - when you saw the plants you should have known they looked NOTHING like the photo I had sent you - when I called after I calmed down- told you they were not usable- you said”you can return them, but I do t know what I can do with them” you didn’t say - please come back - I’ll make it right - I asked you what I should do - you said “I don’t know” - you didn’t stand behind your work - you made excuses and said you had to find a supplier on line - you had no answer for why you charged me $90 for plants that were available for $10 - When I asked you just said you didn’t know- you didn’t offer to spit the loss - you didn’t make returning them seem ok - I am very disappointed - this was for work and I had to take the rap for what you supplied- are you willing to refund 50%- Please let me know how you want to rectify this Joy

Absolutely love this place! I have gotten numerous Koi fish from them and a Chinese high fin banded shark. My dad and I also use their pond cleaning kit in the spring, the most helpful people if you have a question about the care of your pond or fish. Would definitely recommend stopping by just to see the amazing koi pond that wraps around the side of the building. I bought some water Hyacinths from them that were beautiful! They didn't last long though as Koi love them! would recommend to anyone interested in starting a pond or looking for new fish.

We happened to drive by Chalily's, saw lots of interesting garden goodies and pulled in to shop. I saw two items from the road that I had every intention to buy but their prices are kind of outrageous. However, if you are into water gardens, this would be the place to go. So, bottom line is....I liked their stuff but I am not paying those kind of prices. I know you can find comparable items elsewhere for a lot less. No matter how much money you pay, it's all made in China!

After having a very negative experience at Aqua World I'm so glad I found Chalily. Everyone there was super helpful, friendly, and so accommodating. Don't judge the store from the front side facing Manchester either. They have so much more behind the building that I wasn't aware of until I parked. Only slightly negative thing was that I had to wait a bit for someone to help me, but it was pretty busy on the day I was there. I can give them a pass on that. They also gave me three free water plants simply for visiting. Definitely will be back again.

AMAZING customer service at Chalily!! I purchased a large ceramic fountain and, realized it was just too big to take in and out every year. I did not have a receipt but, Joe found my purchase on his computer and allowed me to exchange my fountain for a much lighter fountain (and I just love it!). They truly want the customer to be happy! They have won my business forever! Thank you!
