I am obsessed with this place. It is probably my favorite gardening/gift store in Minneapolis. You can easily spend an hour browsing through all of their unique plants and gifts. They always have plants that you don’t normally see anywhere else. Every time I’ve been there the staff has gone above and beyond to make sure they are answering all of my questions and making excellent recommendations. I always look forward to making a trip here :)

Such a gem for a unique plant shopping experience! I found a garden cloche here that I've been searching for for years and there it was, up on a shelf. It's exactly the kind of place I should have known to look, but what a fun surprise when I discovered it! The space is very cool and has a whimsical cottage vibe. Staff was very friendly and really great!

Came to Tangletown to look for a special memorial to honor my mother when Iain worked with my husband and I to find just the right item. It needed to be ordered and we were willing to wait. Well, unfortunately there were delays and some unforeseen problems which caused some more delays. Iain, Scott, and all the staff worked hard to make the situation right for us and for all involved. I now look out in my garden and think of my mom and all that is good and right with the world. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️!

My friend signed us up for a container planting workshop as a way to celebrate my birthday. I have seen Tangletown Gardens when I’ve eaten at Wise Acre, which is fabulous BTW, but the day of the workshop was my first time inside. First of all, what a fun shop! So many unique items ranging from plants to home decor to gifts. Best thing.... a potting area to create your own planter. Love that! The workshop was wonderful. Coming through the greenhouse doors we were offered coffee and/or mimosas. Yes, my kind of workshop! I’m leery of houseplants. They pretty much hate me and die just to get away from me.

THE CUTEST PLACE EVER. Staff are all incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and professional. The store is FILLED with decorations and plants it was so hard to choose. We left with 3 new plants and 4 new pots... we will be back and we will leave with more!!!

I discovered Tangletown about 6 years ago and enjoy going there once or twice a season. From Maplewood, it's quite a drive. The selection of garden art and whimsy is very nice and they do have some nice and different plants. That being said, I have a large Hosta collection and am always looking for the one I don't have. Two years ago I purchased a hosts from them even though it didn't have a tag because it was so interesting thinking I would identify it later. For the past two years I have not been able to identify it and finally had a hosta person come and look at it. Apparently it has such interesting markings because it has the disease gen-x. I have since found two others in my yard with the disease because I didn't know what it was and that I needed to get rid of it. I went back to Tangletown recently and found several other hosta with the same disease including a large sum and substance. I can't believe that no one at the garden center knows about this disease enough to know that it's in their stock and that it's still there after two years! I recommend thi garden center for spending some time on a nice day and picking up a plant or two but what ever you do avoid the Hostas or you will end up with this disease in your hostas at home as it's very contagious.

Good selection of great-looking accessories like pots. Plant selection for indoor and outdoor settings is fairly diverse. The specimens are in great health. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Prices are moderate to somewhat expensive. For fun, check out their farm's restaurant across the street for some fresh lunch options.

Tangletown is always such an amazing place to shop for plants. At every turn, there's something new and fun to try in your garden. I love exploring and bringing friends there to shop who have never been there before. I found some sweet Japanese maples, so cute and perfect for the pots on my deck.

Went over the Easter weekend to get some plants for my new apartment, wanted to do a first run then go back for more later. Kristina helped me out and was incredibly kind. The whole shop is great for anyone looking for greenery, decor, or gardening supplies. The staff was kind and helpful. You may be able to find better total varieties for plants or supplies at a larger location but this place is great if you, like me, were not picky or looking for anything particular.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Their prices were comparable to other nurseries in the Twin Cities. They had a lot of unique items as well as a variety of fun garden pots, fountains and lawn ornaments and some unique flowers. I will definately be going back!

I turned to the people at Tangletown Gardens when I decided that "this was the year" that I'd finally hire a tasteful, creative professional landscape designer to help me optimize my gardening budget. Matt came out to my home, discussed the look I was going for, and in under two hours he had drawn up a plan that I was really excited about! Honestly, this was something I should have done years ago, and I would highly recommend Matt (and Tangletown Gardens) to anyone who appreciates the true creativity that goes into planting a garden that looks great, is well thought out, and "designed" to enjoy for many seasons to come. I have never received such amazing customer service. I don't know a lot about plants but they sure know there stuff and will help you with everything. I was assisted by Shaina who is a lovely human being. She walked me through all the options I could do with my plant arrangement. Giving me the prices and different variations And colors(by the way they have a huge variety of plants. Its insane) She was very patient with me and I really appreciated that, I am very indecisive but she assured me of every little detail which made me very confident in my final product. I will only be buying my flowers here from now on!! Absolutely amazing job! Thank you again!

Not exactly my favorite place on account of it being very cramped for me and the prices are high but they do have a unique little spot in the city and they do have some good plants. I just may not be fancy enough for the place. I don't have a landscaper carrying out my multi thousand budget plan, a think I overheard there once.
