A gem. I visited for the first time on friday. As others have stated, knowledgeable staff , competitive prices, good variety. Most importantly, i found staff to be patient as i considered options for a holly planting. Mia was especially helpful! Apart from native plant sales, this my new number 1.

Been going here for years. Excellent selection, and knowledgeable staff. However, there are 2 women in the building, behind the cashier area, who are the most unpleasant people to deal with, with one being the worst.There have been many times I've wanted to complain to the owner about the poor treatment by these women . So rude! I see other people have left similar reviews. Primex- do your customers and staff who work hard to provide GOOD customer service a favor and put these 2 people in the back, where they don't interface with human beings. Without them, you would receive 5 stars - a stain on your store,

First time there, staff was rude. I was going to purchase rose bushes they had in the back. Didn't know it was a special order for another customer. The manner he said was "similar to..bug off,you can't touch those Rose's, get the hell outta type of manner." They lost a potential new customer that was going to spend a lot.

Bring your ideas and a plan and someone at Primex will help you make it happen. They will show you what fits your layout and sun/shade situations. You may spend a whole day there but if you buy their "bumper crop" soil amendment they guarantee your plants for life. Highly recommend

A helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff is there to answer questions and lead you to the plants or supplies you need. Parking is limited given the high customer traffic, but it is worth the wait.

Okay, they're busy. And parking is scarce, on a spring weekend especially. But they know their products, they have what you need for gardening, and they are happy to give you help and advice, although it may feel rushed at times. This, though, is the place to go for real quality, helpful and knowledgeable staff, and wide specialized inventory. Not a big box store.

These people have every type of organic treatment for home or garden you can imagine. Huge bulb selection. Went to four different places to find seed garlic for planting. This was the only place that had it!

This place was soo good until recently when we asked to replace a $10 plant for the bumper crop lifetime guarantee. We are told to buy this bumper crop each time we buy there so we do spending a lot of $$ on it . This is the first time a plant died we used this crop and they said sorry only trees and shrubs. So this is likely the last time we are visiting this place and are going to look at other garden centres around...enjoy thr $10 you saved. Shame as i was about to give them a great rating but they killed this for me. DONT BUY BUMPER CROP!!!!!

Very helpful staff. They helped me identify an non native, possibly invasive species at my new house. I showed them a few pictures, and they new what it was instantly when they saw them. And they also presented options to control the species. You wont get this kind of service and helpful staff at the big box stores. Will definitely return!

Very poor customer service on the phone. Giving unwarranted attitude to potential customers is bad for business therefor I refuse to contribute to poor customer service. We the customer are the very reason your still in business and should be treated as such.

Primex is a great garden center. The sataff is very knowledgeable and friendly. You can get pretty much anything you need from plants to soils to stones. They have an amazing variey if plants. They sell a proprietary soild blend for plants and vegetables. You will certainly pay more than the box stores, but you will get exactly what you need and the quality is excellent.

I have not visited the nursery, but used Primex for their bulk mulch delivery service. Price per yard, delivered, was the best I could find in the area. Ordering over the phone was easy, and they followed my instructions where to dump (I have a shared driveway). Mulch was super high quality. Good color, great concistency, no large chunks, bark or other debris, and not too smelly, either. Will order again next year.

They have a nice array of plants. I really enjoy visiting just to browse. I'm a huge plant lover & wish I had more room in & out to add more plants to my collection. Recently, I found that in the late winter, you can preorder chicks here. This year will be my first year of owning chickens, after many years of research & debating. Well, I took the plunge and ordered 3 chicks. They had 4 breeds to choose from this year. Do they vary from year to year? I don't know. They had the option of 2 different weeks for delivery. I chose the later date, being the week of April 16th this year. I'm hoping it'll be warm enough to put them outside once they reach 4 to 5 weeks, without any issues. Chicks are very susceptible to getting cold, since they don't have all their plumage & full weight yet. I'm looking forward to this year's gardening & chick raising... maybe eggs before the end of the year too!

My first visit to Primex this past Saturday it was a very enjoyable experience. I was referred there by my new landscaper. I enjoyed walking through and looking at all the beautiful plants, flowers, trees, etc. Such a large variety to choose from. Everything you need for landscaping and gardening. At first i liked the selection. And the staff answered all my questions and since i had so many i really thought they were knowledgeable. I was in search of parsley and dill but later in the season so it was getting hard to find. I told them i needed it to feed the 60 black swallows caterpillars in my caterpillar farm. Every day all the (16) kids on my block would come over in the am to feed them. Some were SOOOO excited to see some more butterflies emerge from thier chrisalys (can NEVER spell that word) because they hadn't seen the other30 or so come out. It really is the coolest thing ever. (I have some going into the crysallis and coming out on YouTube of you wanna see it-magical) So you can only imagine how devastated i felt when i went out to see the kids FREAKING OUT at all the caterpillars dying. One of the girls had a medicine syringe filed with water and was trying to get her favorite one to drink bc she thought it may help. I can understand why she thought that way because the cat had vomit on its mouth. All the cats that were still alive were writhing around and were barfing. Some were popping thier lil red smelly antennas in and out at a rapid rate. It was awful. It turns out that Primex uses A TON of pesticides. Like the heavy duty ones-bc, according to the person i spoke to, without it they would never be able to keep the caterpillars off the plants. So i said to him "but i told the guy it was TO FEED caterpillars. Why didn't he tell me?" His answer: not everyone needs to know and i must've asked the wrong person. I told him i asked someone wearing a green Primex shirt that can talk and can hear so why didn't he know? He didn't know what i meant so i explained to him that if ever ever ever a customer sees someone in the primex shirt and had a question they will ask. So every person that's given that shirt that can talk and can hear AND is ever visible to people in the store should know that you use such a strong pesticide. He asked me if i wanted a refund. I told him i thought it was more disgusting than murdering my caterpillars that he would have to ask. Then i asked how much of a refund would i get. He said whatever i spent on the dill (since i still had the parsley and this jerk would only refund the parsley if i brought it back to the store). I spend $348 at Primex that day...$35 on a plant the rest between the parsley and dill. Those cats eat A LOT- they blew threw my whole herb garden within3 days and i had about 60 by then that i had been feeding about$30 wish of herbs for almost as month. The point of this project was for the kids to see them come out AND to see if any come back next year. That project came to an end when i fed my cays his dill and they were all poisoned and died. Not one survived. Was he going to pay me back for ALL the food I had fed them (please understand, I didn't really want him to pay me back for every move I put in a little caterpillar smells. But I didn't like the fact that he didn't give a crap at all what happened to this very expensive project. It was a lot of work. He seemed rritated that I was upset about it). He told me he would refund me $110 but it would take 4-6 weeks bc of the card company he uses. That store is horrible and only out to make money. It must be THE MOST IMPORTANT thing to them and not thier customers. The most offensive part of all this is i never got the refund and my calls were never answered and my vms never returned. This all happened last year...i wanted to see if I got over it before writing a review like this. Bad reviews can hurts a biz and i didnt want o be responsible for that without a good reason. But i DO have agood reason. A great reason. I know there are a lot of great people at that store. But I'm talking about the ultimate end of your hard earned money. Its going to people who seemingly care about little else. Please dont spend your money here. There are too many nurseries inn this area being run by people who would will and have done it for almost NO money to justify lining this companys pocket.

Two stars for being knowledgeable, 0 stars for an exceptionally poor customer experience. Totally undeserving of my support. Not a single greeting until I engaged a team member. Not a single smile from any of the 10 plus team members. Appeared to be too preoccupied to ask if I needed help. So unfortunate the level of unhappiness here. I would entitle the experience with another term, but I’m guessing they don’t see a lot of people like me. All the best to your beautiful little nursery.
