Ok so this place is crazy beautiful! Nice staff and I was in love with not just the plants but all of the decor- a tad pricey but come on- love a good local business! Seriously just loved walking around! I bought some basil and it’s doing very well!

Great selection, reasonable prices. We bought some plants from here a couple of weeks ago. Make sure not to bring an infant who wants to touch lots of things, that's for sure. Very pretty plants.

Unfortunately had a really bad experience here - we raise Monarch caterpillars/butterflies, and we usually just get wild milkweed every few days. We've been doing this for over 20 years. We had a long trip coming up during that time this year, and found that Potomac Garden Center has large milkweed you could buy. After inquiring about what they use on the milkweed to keep the pests off (there were zero bugs on them, which was kind of strange), they said they use a chemical that gets rid of aphids, but it completely safe for the caterpillars. Sounded good - until we brought the plants home and put the caterpillars on them. Every single one died within just a few days of being on the plant and eating - they stopped moving, and eventually turned black. We lose maybe one caterpillar every few years, and we lost every single one we put on those plants. Very clear that whatever they put on their plants, it is absolutely not safe for caterpillars. Very saddened and disappointed.

So much more than a garden center! Just went with the kids and spent an hour browsing through beautiful home decor and Christmas items. Sipped on hot apple cider and pet the resident cat. So fun and beautiful.
