Well lets just say they could have hosed my friend for way more then the spark plug they charged them to fix the weedwacker they brought to be fixed.. Honest good people, Verry Friendly and helpful. We drove an hour to get to these guys and was well worth the trip.

Took my chainsaw there in May because it wasn't running good and wouldn't stay running. Got it back and still same thing was happening. Paid $71 before and this time got it back and had to pay $41. I won't be going back to them again! Beware of this place! FYI this chainsaw is only 3 years old and I take great care of it.

Great people, great business!

Great place! I had been talking with them a few times over the phone about a snowblower. Walked into the store ready to buy, and they still took time while they were busy to go over a few differences between my old Ariens and the new model that i was buying.

Excellent service, very helpful with guidance and prompt with repairs. I would recommend this business before any big box stores to connect with people who know their products and can answer your questions professionally.

Brought in my husqvarna chain saw to have the idle set the saw started and ran decent just would not stay running when I set it down.Received a call a few days later from service writer and he explained to me that my saw had low compression a stuck ring and after their treioge wasn’t worth repairing and tried to pitch a new chainsaw sale at me.Pretty poor business tactics in my opinion and after asking around seems to be business as usual to bring them a running saw and get it back in loose pieces and plastic bags. That was the last dollar this unethical business will get from me.

Purchased an Ariens Hydro Pro 28" Oct 2015. December 29th is first use. I have operated 3 machines, starting on McKeen St., in 1976 when I was 25 years old. This Hydro Pro has removed the tugging and pushing effort and exhaustion from the snow blowing process . It took me some time to understand sequence of the controls. The Hydro stick is your best friend, so let the machine do the work and just follow behind it,.......... Great product and knowledgeable people at BHGS. JPH Yarmouth, Maine

The people there are very helpful, and courteous.

This used to be my go to place for service on my Ariens, but not anymore. Service Manager gets rude when you question things and they take it upon themselves to perform service not required or approved. When you get your machine back and it has oil spilling out of the spout because they couldn't put the cap back on makes you wonder about what else is going on. Buyer beware.

I recently had a Remington chainsaw serviced at this local shop and it was a wonderful experience. They have a very knowledgeable staff, they're friendly, and communicated regularly with me throughout the extended service needed. The products they carry are of top quality and the prices for them are great. Skip the big box stores and come to this shop first. They really stand behind their products. I'll be buying from this store for my future lawn and garden needs. Thanks guys

UPDATE: Well, they’ve done it again. It simply wasn’t enough for them to fire him after the unfortunate death of our cat and refuse to give him a good reference because he happened to report his higher up, but they’ve completely blown us out of the water with this one. After attempting to complete my husband’s taxes for 2018, we were absolutely aghast to find out he owes over one thousand to the State and Federal! Brunswick Home and Garden hires Mangum & Associates, LLC, an accounting firm, to complete their payroll, and a horrid one at that. Turns out, after speaking to a reliable accountant, and some research and calculations, the accounting firm working for Brunswick Home and Garden FAILED to take out the correct amount of taxes for my husband for 2018 according to the IRS tax bracket. He ended up owing money, because they did not follow the federal, nor state mandated guidelines on the amount of taxes to take out for someone who is married, claiming one dependent. I am absolutely disgusted by the amount of attitude I received on the phone after speaking with their accounting firm. The accountant I spoke with refused to further research the situation, and placed blame on my husband, stating that he “should have paid attention to what was coming out of his paycheck”. If my husband is going to be the one calculating his own taxes, then why are they in business, or getting paid to do their job incorrectly? I am so disgusted by this company and their accounting firm. I will be taking this up with the IRS, and my attorney. You should be ashamed of yourselves. — Brunswick Home and Garden decided they didn’t like my review, and to delete it, so I’ll repost: The owner of Brunswick Home and Garden, Sandy, decided to fire my husband (after a full day of work, mind you, how convenient for them), after he called out weeks before due to the unfortunate passing of our cat, due to the cancer, Lymphoma. Not only that, but the main reason they proceeded to fire him was because he made several complaints about his manager, Mark, who mistreated him and singled him out on a daily basis. Of course she wouldn’t fire Mark, considering she’s best friends with his wife, despite all of the employees loathing and complaining about him constantly. Even the other employees will vouch for this. They tried to claim they fired him due to him calling out, and only working 31 hours a week. Well, the 1,023 dollar final check he just received from Brunswick Home and Garden says otherwise. Oh, and of course it’s perfectly okay for Sandy’s son to be late and hardly work the hours he’s supposed to, and dawdle on the clock— must be some nepotism there. My husband was retaliated against after sticking up for himself, and that is against the Whistleblower’s Protection Act. They even refused to give him a good reference when he started looking for a new job. That’s just unnecessary and nasty. They can continue to delete my review everyday, if it helps them feel better— I’ll just continue reposting it. This poor excuse for a business can expect a retaliation lawsuit. Avoid at all costs! This business doesn’t care about their employees, nor their customers. I’ve seen it firsthand.

We purchased a generator from Jessie and BHG. Every part of the process was perfect, professional and very responsive. Jessie will go out of his way to make sure you are happy. This is a 50 plus year old family business that cares. They treat you how you want to be treated. Top Notch, without question !!!
