BUYER BEWARE!!!
Received my kettle and didn’t like the many casting cracks in the finish both inside and out.
Grove Kettles explanation is "the 'cracks' you are referring are not cracks at all. During the casting and cooling process individual atoms form crystal structures and these structures then form independent grains. The grains form independently and create 'grain boundaries'. The larger the cast iron surface the more visible the grain boundaries become. Some kettles have more grain boundaries than others, however, the strength and durability of the kettle is sound."
If I would have known this I wouldn’t have purchased this product, and the only way to get a refund is if I pay for shipping again, (a cost of more then $400.00) and they refuse to replace with a quality product. These photos are of my kettle which do not look like the kettles on their website. What a bait and switch scam!!!
Grove Kettles - re your response: sharing my story is not spamming your site. You state you will give me a refund, but it’s at the cost of my paying a second shipping fee, which is a loss to me totaling more $400.00 dollars in all. I don’t really want a refund instead I would like you to ship me the quality product you claim to sell. You write you can’t afford to pay multiple expensive freight charges but you haven’t paid any. I’ve paid for all expenses, you even want me to pay for return shipping on a defective product. At no time have you offered to take or share any responsibility for the shipping charges. You claim to have happy customers but you remove my response, so It looks like no one is unhappy, but what is the reality? Lastly, you haven’t tried to make me happy after numerous emails and hide behind your policies which only benefit you. I just want a kettle that looks like those you picture on your website and not the inferior product I received.
