Not only do they deliver your fountains, decor, they will service them, close them for the winter and open them in the Spring. Van Liew's is the only place I trust for my garden needs. I have purchased several water features and water accessories. Warranty items are always exchanged with receipt. I have also purchased several statures and fun garden stuff. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. I make a point to get to their area during any special event they are in attendance. If you don't see something that you can't live without, I'd be shocked.

I was truly surprised to read the negative reviews for VanLiews. I have been a customer for many years and in no way do I believe this family owned company is rude or racist. In fact they are completely the opposite!! They employ a very diverse group of people and treat them like family. They have NEVER been rude to anyone while I've been in the store but instead go out of there way to help anyone!! They have the most amazing fountains and statues along with so many unique items in the store. I am always greeted with smiles and offered a helping hand to my car. VanLiews refinished and repaired my 2 older statues and my goodness...they looked brand new and were AMAZING!!! I recommend everyone to VanLiews!!!

Do not buy anything from this company!! I have spent over $3000 for 2 wall fountains and they do not work at all. They came out over 6 times to fix them and they still don’t work. I’ve asked to return them and they refuse to take them back. They do not stand behind what they sell so stay away!!

If you love fountains, birdbaths and garden treasures as much as I do, then look no further than Van Liew's! This place is a GEM on Prospect! No matter where you live, it is worth the drive!! Staff are knowledgeable and delightful to work with. They have a beautiful selection of fountains, birdbaths, planters, statuary, etc. Also a great place for gifts and home decor. I was a regular patron of Van Liew's prior to moving to Colorado 3 years ago. I have looked for a store like this in Colorado, but haven't come close to finding anything with the selection, quality or prices offered at Van Liew's. I decided that on my next trip back to KC, I would be including a trip to VL's in my schedule. I had a birdbath that I purchased there several years ago and neglected to cover it during the winter (or move it inside), so it began to show some wear and fine cracks. I worked with Mike and he did a fabulous job repairing and restaining. He was incredibly meticulous and found a couple of very fine cracks that I had missed. Knowing that I was only in town for a short time, he made this a priority, but didn't take any shortcuts in his work!! I wasn't even sure if the fountain was repairable, so I was thrilled that Mike was able to revive it! I also couldn't leave there without a new birdbath (this was really my main goal!!). I had it setup within hours of arriving home in CO and less than 24 hours I had two hummingbirds checking it out! Thank you so much to the sweet ladies (I wish I would have asked their names) who were so incredibly helpful during my visit. Next summer, I will be back and ready to purchase a corner fountain!

Wow! I spent hours today browsing the statues and fountains and yard art and just thought I would let others know this place is amazing. We bought a waterfall statue and installed it today for a client and the neighbors came fawning in droves. This place has 150 working fountains on display. In addition, you'll find concrete tables and benches, statues, bird baths, garden ponds, weather vanes, sundials, bronze sculptures, home decor, and gazing balls. The frog lazing in the Sun with an Ipod made me snort. This place has been in Kansas City for 3 generations and I found it most clever. Service was first rate and the prices were agreeable. Everywhere I looked I said to myself this friend would love that. Great place to take the kids, it is like the Zoo, but nothing moves.

I only gave them one star because I couldn't give them 0. Like most people, I work 8a-5p. I called at 4:45p to tell them that I got off early to come buy a statue for my still-born nieces grave stone whose funeral was the next weekend, but was stuck in 71S traffic and would get there as soon as I could, the man on the phone said, "well we close at 5p, so if you get here before then, I guess we can help you." Once I got there at 4:58p, they treated me like a burden even though I knew exactly what I wanted and only took up 4 minutes of their time. I will NEVER be back, and I will tell every single person I know who owns a house up and down Ward Parkway to stay clear of this horrible establishment. Rudest experience I've ever had at a retail store.

We have bought two large fountains from Van Liew's. They always provide professional advice on installations or will install a fountain for a fee. A storm broke one tier of our first fountain and Van Liew's was able to order just the one piece and stain it to match the rest of the fountain. Their staff is very nice and professional. I would recommend this family owned and operated business to everyone.
