Good place to get plants and trees. They are kinda over priced, BUT... you are getting a good product. I bought a tree for my wife. It was more then I was expecting. But the tree is doing beautifully. Knowledgeable staff. Great selection.

I would like to thank Ms Holly for all her help in finding a variety of leaves for my science project. She took the time to explain their scientific names and interesting facts about each tree leaf that we found. Even after my dog ate some of my leaves, she was still excited to go back around their tree farm to help me find the missing leaves. Thank you Holly for helping me earn an A+ on my project. IF anyone has any questions about what leaf goes to what tree, Holly can answer your questions...she's the best expert ever.

Could not reccomend for lawn service. They perform the maintenance at our townhomes. Their low mowing, turf damage from trying to use riders in too small and high slope areas, aggressive weedeating and ineffective preemergent control has degraded our lawn area significantly. I have had at least 4 conversations with their crews as well as their area representative and always get the same story; they are unable to train and adequately supervise their new employees. Their leads seem to be aware of how those practices degrade the turf quality, it is just not a priotity for them to translate that into quality work. Ealier this year we replaced our drive in part because their aggressive weedeating had dug channels along the side of the drive which had allowed water to undermine the drive over time. I have asked them repeatedly not to dig channels along the edge of the drive but have not been successful at getting them to stop. Attached picture shows lawn covered with leaves that they applied broadleaf control over. Might have been more effective had they picked up the leaves first Great staff at their garden store though. Always very helpful.

Called to get an estimate to replace my garden retaining wall with stone, the person who answered the call sounded unwilling to take the information, after a few minutes telling him my project, he said someone will call me, I asked for the name of the person who will call, he said he doesn't know, but, someone will call. After a week, no one called so I gave my $4000 project to Prairie Stone Landscape.

Lawn maintenance staff poorly trained. They try to use equipment that is too large in many of our townhomes lawn areas. In the last two weeks they have damaged our retaining wall and seriously damaged the only tree we have that blocks our view of looking into the doctor offices behind our home. They were told last year that that equipment was too large for the area as it was damaging the turf every time they mowed.

We live 60 miles from Manhattan but all our plants, fertilizer, mulch, pots we do not mind driving to Manhattan. Well we are KState Alumni, any way the staff is so knowledgeable about everything, from the best trees and plants for this area to fertilizer for outdoors and indoor plants and everything in between. They even came to plant a tree at our home for a very reasonable price and did a wonderful job, the tree is thriving. We are so very grateful to have you to help us!

Expensive but oh so knowledgeable... You pay for what you receive. Planting pot selection is great, if you like heavy ceramic pots.

As a homeowner, I have never been able to use their services on my lawn... They are just too busy for me. The business is good for sprinkler service. I use them, they are prompt and proactive. For lawn service they are terrible. Two times in the past year I attempted to use them for lawn care for my house in Manhattan (with a normal sized lawn). One time I called for them to aerate the lawn. The guy on the phone sounded inconvenienced by my asking, said they were too busy and told me to try back in SIX MONTHS. The next time I called was to arrange to have my grass cut once while I would be away. Again, the guy on the phone said they were too busy, he **might try to do me a favor** (aka do business with me and take my money) and they will call back in 3 weeks to let me know if they will cut my grass. I think their focus is in businesses or something. As a homeowner, I have never been able to use their services on my lawn... They are always just too busy for me.

Nice people who work there but after you make a purchase, the customer service drops dramatically. My wife and I bought a tree about 5 weeks ago and we were told that it would be planted 2 weeks after that. Finally, after 5 weeks of silence, I called them and they said they don't schedule dates, they just plant them whenever and that they never call if they are running behind (by 3 weeks in this case). They said the rain has put them behind which would be understandable if the rain hadn't started after our scheduled planting date. You will have a good experience in person while shopping though, I will give them that, just don't expect follow up. Update- tree has been planted and looks good, I just wish there would have been some kind of communication, any kind, that they were running so far behind.

Everyone on the premises greeted me politely with a smile and asked if they could help. Once my question had been answered, and I just wanted to wander, they let me do that. That tells me they're really awesome with customer service. This nursery offers many services from landscaping and grounds maintenance, snow removal, to seminars for the young and old alike. They really do have the answers to many urban agricultural questions.
