Rent a gardener did a very nice job at my house. They were a little pricey but the job got done to my satisfaction. We had a grading issue and they work very hard and fix that issue.

Prompt, professional, and capable. We contacted Rent A Gardner about a drainage issue. Our sump pump out flow drainage had been constructed incorrectly by a previous owner of our home and a replacement was needed. Arun came out on a Saturday. He assessed the situation and gave us a description of the work he would do to correct the problem. He also gave a verbal estimate that was followed with a written estimate a few days later. When it was time to do the work, Arun's crew showed up on time and worked professionally and neatly. They took care of our lawn as well or better than we would ourselves. The project is complete and we are satisfied with the results. We would hire Rent A Gardner again if we need gardening or lawn services.

My wife and I hired Rent A Gardener to do a major landscaping project for us. We purchased a new house in 2018 and it was in need of landscaping. We picked Rent A Gardener based on a recommendation from friends who used them. The project was estimated to take 8-days for 2-3 workers. The scope of the project was large and included a 16’x21’ brick paver patio, a landscape border around the entire house using stepped wall as a border (natural stone product), 3 large flower beds with a stepped wall border, Routing downspout drainage away from the house, and the planting of trees/shrubs/flowers. Due to rain the project took 10 days to complete which is understandable. The work was done very well with little to no damage to the lawn. All debris was removed. The price was within budget. Even better is the finished landscape looks GREAT! Everyone who walks by our house comments and says it looks Great. I would recommend Rent A Gardener to anyone looking to have professional landscaping done.

We had Rent A Gardener come out and create an entirely new flower/tree bed in the front of our house and completely transform the beds around the rest of the house, around the backyard deck and two more beds in the backyard. Arun and his team were really outstanding from start to finish. They initially responded to my website inquiry right away and met with Arun who gave us a timely and thorough estimate of the work - making some great suggestions along with way. They sent reminders before their visits and Arun was out on the day of work to oversee the work, talk to us, and ensure quality and satisfaction. Their work was excellent and their workers did a great. They're probably not the cheapest, but very much worth their fee. Very pleased with everything and would highly recommend them!

Arun does a great job of advising on every detail. He noted that certain plants were too close to each other or structural elements or else in the wrong place for sunlight requirements, and his crew moved them accordingly. He also notices and addresses drainage issues. He stops by during the day that his crew is there to check on progress and makes sure everything is going according to plan. He follows up with reminders about watering needs for new plantings. My yard looks hotel level manicured after a day with his crew. I highly recommend Rent a Gardener!

His attention to detail is admirable, he did not confine the work on landscaping only, his crew put barriers at the lower portion of the fence to prevent the muskrat from entering our garden, our gate was fixed too. Our well designed and very clean backyard is now a place not only to drink coffee in the morning but also to meditate and admire God's creation. Great experience! Rent-a-Gardener had planted 4 big trees for us in 2011 and we were happy to give our business to owner Arun again. We wanted new beds along a very long fence on one side of our yard that would curve around a new shed area. We wanted trees, shrubs and perennials. We also needed someone to build a solid foundation for the shed, which involved digging out old tree roots and old landscaping stones. Also needed a buried drain pipe to divert water from a downspout which floods the yard during heavy rains. We would have been unsure about having landscapers do the shed footing, but Rent-a-Gardener's horticulturist, Cindy, understood what we wanted and we knew the owner, Arun, was an engineer and he supervised that part. Within a few days of our first meeting, Cindy emailed a rough "big picture" idea for the beds as well as photos of specific plant suggestions. She was very flexible and wasn't offended if we didn't want exactly what she'd suggested or if we changed our minds, etc. She was very good at working with us to tweak the overall design and the individual plants. She met us at the nursery to see all the perennial and shrub possibilities and to tag the 3 big trees. I love getting to pick out the exact trees! Once we narrowed down our plant selection, she gave us a preliminary estimate for all of this work. She also explained how they estimated labor costs. The estimate was very clear. I was really impressed with the men who did the site prep, planting and the additional work of building a really solid foundation for our new shed and digging a buried downspout extension for us. They did a great job on every single aspect of this. They worked really hard and were good at problem-solving. They've been with Rent-a-Gardener a long time. Cindy came each day, sometimes twice, to make sure they placed each plant exactly where I wanted it and Arun came by as needed to check on the planning and execution. The landscapers were very patient about that too, even replanting one tall grasses and one bush I decided to change! It seemed like we had added many plants at the last minute and that the guys did quite a bit of what seemed like extra work -- even removing an old basketball hoop and its deep cement footing; hacking out a stump that hadn't been visible in the new bed; and cleaning out, trenching and mulching an adjacent bed so it would all look finished -- so I was dreading the invoice. I was amazed to see that it was actually less than the original rough estimate. Total time between first visit and completion was one month and 2 days! We are definitely very happy with our Rent-a-Gardener experience and the beautiful results! Every time I look out my windows I'm amazed! Wonderful! I'd definitely work with them again.

Really pleased with the landscaping job - came out exactly how I wanted it. The job was completed in the time allotted. Workers were great and left the yard looking neat and tidy. I had made a few changes after the initial estimate and Phil was great in working out a more friendly budget and keeping me up to date with emails. Will definitely keep you in mind for future work! :) Update - unfortunately, issues arose with regard to the new grass seed. It wasn't spread evenly, so large patches of the straw covering was left untreated - resulting in patchy growth. I also got grass growing where I did not want it - in the rocks in border of the house, due to careless distribution of the seed. See pics. I emailed Phil on a Sunday. When I did not hear back, I sent a follow up on Thursday. Phil responded that same day and I was told my email was being forwarded to a manager and that someone would be calling me the next day, Friday, to set up a time for someone to come reseed -- I was told they were busy and were trying to fit me into their schedule. Maybe its just me, but if you complete a job and take the customer's money, you should assign a little more priority if there turns out to be an issue with that work. It is now Monday and I have not heard from Rent A Gardner. Since I don't know if they will ever get back to me, I went out this morning and bought grass seed to reseed the areas myself. Plus I will now have to pay even more money to water these areas of new seed until it gets established, an expense I should not have if the job had been done correctly the first time.

Everything about the project exceeded my expectations. We've had Arun and his crew out twice now. The first was to completely redo the landscaping at the front of our house, and just today we had them out again to do deliver some mulch and topsoil/compost, in addition to some touch-up from last summer's job. We've been happy on both occasions. The jobs aren't cheap, but they're at or below the price of any other landscaper of this quality. Arun has been great to work with, too. He's been flexible with our needs and budget, and he had his crew back out this spring to clean up bulbs that were left after the job last year.
