Beautiful place to come visit, the only problem is that there are always so many people! There is always at least one or two photographers, taking wedding pictures, or some other special event. I’m always worried that I’m somehow interfering with their photos, so that’s kind of a drag. Other than that, the falls are pretty amazing & the gardens are always lovely. Definitely a treat to see it during the winter. It’s a winter wonderland!

This compact little park is tucked near the Snake River and Broadway Street. Plenty of parking in Key Bank parking lot. Has such a zen feel to it. Well worth a walkthrough!

What a cute, relaxing garden. Lots of water features. Right on the Snake River with large waterfall at the bridge. It is a small garden. In summer time, morning and evening will be the busiest. Very green lush area. Space can be rented.

Nice little garden in a urban area. It is set up to mostly hide the buildings which is nice for photography but they put big warning signs Wich detract a bit for pictures.

Japanese garden is definitely worth a visit in Idaho Falls. They have put in so much work into the area and are always making additions and enhancements. If you come on a day when they are working, the older gentleman will share stories about the history of the gardens.

Beautiful and serene. Great place to stretch your legs or sit quietly. Wonderful place to view the falls and they maintain it so well. This part of the river is my favorite and makes me happy to be in Idaho falls.

It has a lot of great ideas, but almost nothing to show for it. The areas where it looked like a small pond or creek ran through are dry and dismal, and the pathways are riddled with trip hazards if you dont look down the whole walk around the park. If this park was well kept and taken care of I would have enjoyed my time more thoroughly. I also didn't feel super safe considering the homeless taking naps, and the bags full of trash anywhere slightly out of sight. Parking was also shared with a hotel, so it was very limited.

This is a lovely garden. It has many rocky paths, water falls, and gardens. There are no guard rails or hand rails, so kids are best kept close.

The Japanese friendship Gardens are a serene and peaceful place to contemplate life and meditate. There are lots of pine trees and small waterfalls around the gardens. When I came down to the gardens I found a sense of calm and relaxation that I have not found anywhere other than the Japanese gardens in Buffalo New York.

This place is so beautiful and serene. I love that I can come here and enjoy a great experience without the bother of noise or distraction. Even though it's close to a road, you can't hear the traffic over the fantastic waterfall. Truly a splendid place to be. I even had my engagement pictures done here. There are so many backgrounds and scenes to play with. Just remember to bring a jacket!

The Friendship Garden is located just south of the Broadway St. bridge and is part of Sportsman Park. It's a small space with features like streams, decks, a zen garden, and decorative structures. You access the park by crossing pedestrian bridges on both sides of Snake River. Since the garden is so close to the falls, it's worth walking across the street to experience it.

The Japanese Friendship Garden (previously known as Sportsman's Park) has always been one of my favorite areas in the city. Well kept, great walking paths and beautiful scenery. I love taking clients to this area for photography. Our kids and others love it for hiding & finding painted rocks. Just a perfect little place all around.
