Great experience! This location is right around the corner from Lindbergh MARTA station, it's a very pleasant little walk through some quiet tree-lined streets right to the front door. Staff were as helpful and pleasant as any I've ever met - I called ahead to make sure they had what I was looking for, gave me an accurate count and description, then upon arriving helped me bag up my plants gently and appropriately for me to carry home on the train. I'll be going back!!
terrible, can I give them NO stars, I went to order some plants on thursday, gave them my phone number. Never hear from them. on Monday morning, I called to ask for the lady who orders the plants to see if they could be ordered . I was put on hold for over 15 minutes, and then called back and left my phone number. Called again at 5:40 in the afternoon, again put on hold. Called back to ask for a manager and was told by the lady who answered the phone that she was a minim wage employee and it wasn't her fault that calls are not returned , which is of course correct, and then she hung up on me when I wanted to leave my number for the manager. I am a pikes member, but will not play in their dirt again. can I give them zero stars. And its the fault of the management. If you go there, only deal with Thadeus, he is their best employee. too bad he is not the manager. terrible customer relations. If you need service, be sure to take a tranquilizer first.
Kinda pricey and really couldn't find something to catch my eye. Very nicely organized tho
Have really been impressed with Pike Nurseries the past few times we have been there. Picked up a few fruit trees on sale. PN has got a great selection of trees, flowers, and shrubs.
The selection and quantities of plants and pots are excellent!
Always answers questions and has great sales!!
These guys advised me on how to get grass growing again in a back yard that had become a jungle. I actually had to have it cleared and the soil completely turned over. I'm still amazed at how lush the yard became by following their instructions to the letter.
The best plant store!!
Great place with a large section. I’m rating 4 starts only because pricing is more expensive than other options around town.
Lots off variety; more expensive than Home Depot
Have beautiful trees and great service!
A tale of 2 returns.... Today, I had to return 2 plants - 1 to Pike and 1 to Home Depot. For Home Depot, the plant was dead and 9 mths old. Guess how long it took to get a full refund...? About 2 mins. Well, I took the other plant I needed to return to Pike which was just 1 week old, and I didn't get a refund. Don't shop here. Their plants may be slightly better but don't ever dare to return one. A customer is always wrong here.
I love shopping here for special sales on annuals and floral decor for BBQ's outside.
Great variety of house and outdoor plants. Always top self quality. Been using Pikes for my gardening and indoor plants for over 20 years. Best in town! You wont be disappointed. Staff is very knowledgeable and eager to help! Good job guys!
Pricey but worth it
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful selections as well.
Excellent selection of plants and gardening supplies. Plants all seem healthy and well taken care of and staff is very helpful. Also have gardening events on occasion :)
Good selection. The only downside was the checkout. One register and a line of customers who had all picked up a car load of plants.
Buen surtido de plantas y accesorios además de una excelente atención.
The staff is always so knowledgeable and friendly. Paulette is great to work with. She helped me choose and assortment of flowers and other plants to plant in a very shady part of my yard.
Great place
Super friendly staff willing to go the extra mile for their customers
Do you love plants? We'll you'll love it here. I always go in and see what new plants they have, usually getting a plant or two to add to my collection. On top of the amazing variety, the costumer service here is unbeatable! Everyone love plants as much as I do (or at least they're pretending to). Overall, great variety and super friendly employees.
Nice but pricey
Pike is one of the best places to find awesome Christmas trees in Atlanta. I have purchased a number of Christmas trees, plants and other odds and ends from Pike in the past and always have a good experience.
Great place to walk around and look. We always buy something here.
This place is OVERPRICED! Exorbitant prices. Not only that, the top level human resources are ill informed and poorly trained on how to work with disabled clients. Staff at all Pikes Nurseries are very uncomfortable interacting with my disabled clients. I teach them self-advocacy and it's dis-heartening to see how poorly they are treated. I much rather go shopping in Snellville where the prices are AWESOME and staff so friendly! The place to go shopping is called, "The Family Tree Inc". They sold me dwarf mondo grass for $1.25 a pint, whereas Pikes Nursery's dwarf mondo grass was - OMG- $2.75 a pint. WHAT!? Hang on to your monies and go to The Family Tree, INC at Snellville.
I have been a customer of this location for years. I went over the weekend to buy a Christmas tree. They tried charging us $550 for a Nobel flocked tree including delivery, which is ridiculous. We have never paid that price for a tree at this location. I talked to the manager, Andrew who was on duty. He was not helpful and didn't seem knowledgeable. So I called on Sunday to see if that was correct. I spoke to Emily who couldn't offer any solution and seemed to care less about us being priced gouged and how that left us feeling as customers. Needless to say I will not be returning and will take my buisness elsewhere. Another issue with this location is the associates are not customer friendly.
By far, one of my favorite places in Atlanta. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and high-quality product, I've never been disappointed.
We have had one of the strangest springs that I have seen in Metro Atlanta in ages. However, today was the big herb and vegetable purchase of the season. Tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and plenty of herbs to round out what I buy each season. There were several plants with some yellowing leaves that were added to the discard rack. I asked, and received a discount on these, above and beyond the listed sale price. Stores would rather sale something and bring in some funds vs. losing out on the sale completely. Ask, you will never know until you do.
When I went in there were 5 or 6 people at register. I'm not sure if they were customers. It didn't appear so to me. But I spent about 10 minutes looking around without being approached. Then the guy who did appear was running a errand, and never came back. I ran into him again as I was checking out. By a cashier with 0 personality. But I came to get flowers. I got the flowers.
Staff are helpful and knowledgeable
The employees are very helpful when looking for plants
Agree with other comments. There is ZERO customer service at this store. You have to hunt down staff and when you do, they act put out that you asked them a question and utterly annoyed if you actually ask for help. I'll drive an extra 30 minutes rather than return.
Excellent selection and staff is wonderful!
I went to Pike Nurseries this morning, it was still relatively early, maybe 9:45 or so and there was not very many customers. I was not only greeted, but I was asked by a handful of employees if I needed any help with anything. I work at a garden center and (especially in May) things can get hectic pretty quickly. It sounds like Pike is definitely trying to work on helping every customer they can, and I appreciated that! Their houseplant selection was not the best I have seen, but the store was well organized and their soils/fertilizers were very reasonably priced. The small container selection was not very extensive and the prices were a little higher than I think they should be. The large container selection was much better. Their orchid selection was the best that I have seen and the prices were extremely reasonable. I would urge all gardeners (novice or experienced!) to try out this shop and not be afraid to ask for help if needed!
I had a great time picking everything out. The reps were so helpful. However they went to load $500 worth of trees and palms in my car and shoved it into my back spilling everything and allowing the wet dirty to seep out. I'm not the expert here- why wasn't the pot wrapped in plastic. I'm sure this isn't the first time they've loded a tree etc. I guess I could forgive the wet mud (have to get my Tahoe shampooed now) but it was the lack of apology and remorse. The assistant manager didn't even look me in the eye and say I'm so very sorry. I'm in a service based industry and you just apologize when something goes wrong. Instead he got an attitude with me when I clearly was so bummed. Don't treat customers this way....accidents happen but attitude is uncalled for. Super disappointed.
This place has the most incredible and knowledgeable staff! Every experience is a pleasure!! Thanks!
Nice location
Always good quality plants. Better organic stock of fertilzers available.
Low on staff but excellent variety and they provide service to deliver and plant your trees with a fee. Neat.
I usually rely on the Chastain Pikes but came here because I was hunting for a specific flower. The store and garden area is well-maintained but staff is non-existent. When we did find someone, he gave us the wrong information saying they were sold out when we later found the flower. I'm used to Pikes having staff everywhere and them being a wealth of knowledge. So while they have flowers and pots, this just doesn't deliver quality service.
Love this place. Everyone is very helpful and friendly.
This Pike Nursery has the most helpful staff. Although I haven't bought any landscape or planting supplies in quantity yet, only plants and accessories for gifts etc. Never a problem getting assistance or advice. This location is smaller than suburban locations but the selection they have is generally good quality.
The staff was helpful, the store is laid out in a common sense way, and a good selection of plants and gardening products. Bigger selection and healthier plants than the big chain stores.
Hours are incorrect (closed at 6 today after i drove across town to get here), then they locked my car in their parking lot.
Always helpful and knowledgeable about what they sell. They are NOT 'big orange or big blue'...just saying...
I've had a peace lily for 24 years and my housekeeper all but killed her. I didn't know what to do so I brought her into Pike near the Lindbergh MARTA station to see if they could help revive her. Janell, Marie and Jackson were all nice enough to rally around her, diagnose her and create a treatment plan. Things were looking pretty bleak for Lily, the consensus was that she only had a 15% chance to live. Janell kindly replanted her while I was in the store; which was so helpful for me because I felt like she needed replanting STAT! Against all odds, Lily is starting to recover. To make sure I caused her no additional harm, I called Janell (she remembered me) and she gave me additional care instructions. It's customer service and kindness that will bring me back into the store for all of my planting needs. I won't buy another plant for myself, Lily is an only plant, but I think plants make great gifts. Thank you Janell, Marie and Jackson for giving her a chance to survive. I know without you she would have died.
We love Pike's. Today Paulette was so patient and helpful. Pike's has a great selection and it is organized well.
Love Pikes!
Thaddeus & John both extremely helpful! Great service!
great selection of flowers, indoor plants, shrubs and trees. loved the hydrangeas. Staff was very friendly and offered assistance
