Where do I begin? My wife and I were looking for someone who would design and build our Tropical Garden Oasis around our newly built in-ground pool. A friend recommened Mike Borsello(owner) and his company. Instantly when we met Mike, who personally came to our house to meet my wife and I and dicuss our ideas, we knew he was the one we wanted. His professionalism, knowledge and love for what he does shows tremendously. He listened to our wishes, made incredible suggestions, and came back to our home again personally to go over the colored design plans he created which were stunning and beyond our expectations. His attention to detail is remarkable. After hiring Mike, next came the work. All of Mike's workers are incredibly nice, respectful and undoubtedly talented at their craft. Every single aspect was done to perfection and they went above and beyond by doing things I never thought of or asked for that enhanced the project even more. Katie in the office keeps you well informed every step of the way and is in constant communication to insure happiness. After the project was completed, we truly were saddened to see the crew leave and it was a joy having them at our house everyday they were there. We would like to thank everyone at Borsello Landscaping, especially Mike, Katie, Ben and crew for making our Tropical Garden Oasis a dream come true. Borsello Landscaping recently designed and installed flagstone and brick patios and extensive landscaping in our rear yard. Before Borsello, the back of our 1950s colonial, which we have been renovating, had a cracked concrete slab patio and no real landscaping to speak of. But Mike Borsello is incredibly creative and resourceful- he imagined a design that would turn our back yard from an eyesore into a stunning retreat. Mike was very willing to revise the designs to meet our expectations and budget. He and his crew are extremely meticulous and a pleasure to work with. The masonry work on our flagstone and brick patios is flawless, the landscaping is picturesque, and the lighting Mike selected brings the yard to another level. We contacted Borsello’s Landscaping after observing the beautiful work done at a nearby neighbor’s home. Our front and side yards were badly in need of TLC and we also had highly individual needs. We were using repurposed mushroom growing bins raised for growing bins but they were sitting on concrete boxes and not attractive. We also had a number of native plants that we wanted to “save” and transplant to our new garden space and we wanted the process to be organic or using pollinator friendly products. To describe our yard renovation as a “challenge” was kind. We worked with a Borsello designer, Alan Rice and he was fantastic. He came up with creative ideas and he was willing to modify his design to help us create a pollinator friendly paradise. We also worked with the Delaware Nature Society Habitat unit and Alan was more than willing to incorporate their suggestion into our planning. Alan and other Borsello staff made every effort to work with adjacent neighbors to make sure that the plan worked for them as some trees and ground bordered on our neighbor’s property. Once the work started, Ben and his crew of hardworking staff were friendly, courteous and exceptionally tidy. They often went beyond our expectations setting flagstones a new way, transplanting extra plants from our backyard to the side and finding swamp milkweed for a wet area (no extra charge). They cleaned up the work space each day before leaving, Ben built a beautiful retaining wall out of boulders and Dan built cypress bases for our plant boxes (very sturdy and attractive), a railing and poles to anchor plants. All of the staff have been responsive to our requests and followed through with the planned work. I rate the company as multi-talented and excellent all around.

Mike's team did a beautiful job on the installation of phase 1 of our landscaping project. Mike put together a beautiful selection of perennials that will give our house some great curb appeal. His installation guys were very friendly and knowledgeable and they kept the entire work area neat and organized as the did the work over the course of a couple of days. They even put down some seed and fertilizer around the work area once they were complete. Can't wait to start phase 2!

We recently had Borsello Landscaping enhance our Wilkinson Home's "builder's grade" landscaping. Within a few short days of our first call to the office (during the very busy spring landscaping season), Mike Borsello came out to our home to assess what we were looking to have done. He was on time and very easy to talk to. Then about five days later, he came back out with plans drawn and a fair estimate. We were not ready to do a complete overhaul of the front of our home and he understood that and did not push for anymore than what we were asking for. He did however create a plan that could be easily added on to in the future. The day that work started, his crew showed up first thing, were neat and clean in their work, and were very polite and professional. Also, Katie at the office communicated everything with us as it was happening and was available for any questions or concerns. We had a boulder retaining wall installed and had trees, shrubs, and perennials planted. All of the plantings were healthy and happy and are now blooming and thriving. Mike Borsello was on site each day that work was done and also followed up the day after the work was completed. We would recommend Borsello Landscaping to any of our friends or neighbors looking for expert design and quality work.
