WHEN YOUR TORRISON STONE STEPS FALL APART, YOU CAN PURCHASE MORTAR AT HOME DEPOT While Torrison Stone was working on my front steps, the miscommunication and confusion among its employees would have been comical -- had it been happening at someone else's home. Since it was my home, it was simply infuriating. When the project was completed, I thought I was done with them. Then, two and a half years after the project was completed, I fell off the bottom step because a piece of granite came loose. I checked, and all four of the end pieces were unattached (see photos). I contacted Torrison, and received the below response from Suzanne Ciofalo, their Business Manager/Controller. Ms. Ciofalo was sorry to hear about my fall, and suggested that the surface may have been treated (it was not), or that something heavy (Pots etc..) [Sic] may have been placed on it. I have never placed a pot on my step, although -- if I had -- I would have expected that their work would withstand the weight of a pot. Ms. Ciofalo went on to say that, if only one stone had come loose, they might have repaired it. However, since their careless work caused four stones to come loose, there was nothing they could do. Further, she made it clear that their work was only guaranteed for two years. Finally, Ms. Ciofalo made a helpful suggestion: I could purchase mortar from Home Depot and make the repair myself. I HAVE A SUGGESTION FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING TORRISON STONE: RUN FOR THE HILLS, FIND A REPUTABLE CONTRACTOR, OR GO TO HOME DEPOT AND DO IT YOURSELF! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RESPONSE FROM SUZANNE CIOFALO, TORRISON STONE Hello Dennis Sorry to hear of your fall, but this was installed in 2015 and we cannot assume responsibility for weather issues over the years, treatments that may have been put on this surface, or anything heavy (Pots etc..) that may have caused the stones coming loose. These four stones have been removed from what I see in these pictures, assumed to be done by you. Had one stone come loose we could have addressed and offered a repair. You should be able to re-mortar the stones, and that product could be purchased at Home Depot. Our warranty is two years on workmanship. Suzanne Ciofalo Business Manager - Controller

From the very beginning they were a pleasure to work with. The office staff, the onsite consultation from Lee, the scheduling, and the crew were superb. The project began on time with the crew coming in the morning and leaving in the early evening finishing amazingly in 2.5 days. The whole business was in constant communication about our project with us and their work is truly artistic. We never imagined our walk to look so GRAND! Thanks for such a great job. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! I have been waiting weeks for a quote on a patio and can not reach anyone for an update. Almost seems as though they don't want the business. Both the office staff and project manager are non-responsive. If you are in any rush to get your project done within the calendar year, go else where. Torrison seems to have little interest in customer satisfaction or gaining additional business

Beds , Trees and over all beautification. We used the Torrison team to get our entire gardens, trees and yard looking neat and nice. We were extremely pleased with all aspects of the work They were fast , neat, and I received so many compliments from our neighbors. My wife was very happy with the workers, and they most importantly they kept their word at every turn of the project. Quality work and worth every dollar. Just finished our new Patio and Deck.. Tyler and his team did a great job and the attention to detail was amazing. These guys are pros.

We had a patio and large retaining wall installed by torrison around our new pool spring 2017. Right from the beginning there were things that were done that were not as we had agreed. Constantly having to email Tyler, the project manager who never showed up. Literally he was at our house twice during the entire project. Once to give us a quote and another during a complaint. The retaining wall has two 22.5 degree angles. One had a nice straight seam, the other was ugly and jagged. Tyler told us they would remove the nice one to make it look like the ugly one saying it’s ugly but structurally stronger. The real reason is they had to remove the nice seam to remove and rebuild the ugly one. Once the job was completed we had a storm and all the mud that came from our newly seeded yard ran over the patio and right into our new pool because the patio was pitched right into the pool. They sent a crew out, ripped up the affected area of the patio, put in the drain they were supposed to put in originally and pitch the patio away from the pool leaving an unsightly seam in the patio that wasn’t there the first tome the stones were laid. Then months later I get an email asking for the final payment which I paid months before. Once I responded that, Um yeah, you’ve been paid, I never got another response. Not an apology, nothing. Nothing but nightmares with these people.
