This place is downright crazy, a real sensory overload of eye candy. If you go here without a set list or a general idea of what you're looking for you will find yourself lost in all the cool products. Thankfully I was here to pick up a set list of building materials and they were quick on delivering it directly to the bed of the work truck. You cant help but check out all the neat and unique things they have though.

Fantastic service. Every employee that went by us asked if we needed help while we picked our own flat rocks. The forklift drivers were very nice and expert drivers. Overall smooth experience and easy to pick up all of our rocks.

I had a delivery scheduled for red lava rock. I was told the delivery would be between 9 AM and 12 PM. When I called at 12 PM they said it delivery time had changed to 12 noon to 3 PM.. I understand or unforeseen circumstances but as I explained to the dispatcher a phone call would have alleviated me wasting My entire morning waiting for a delivery. I just wanted them to be aware so this wouldn’t happen to others but she didn’t seem to understand that

Absolutely disgusted!!! 2 out of 4 pallets of brick I received were broken. When I went to complain, the manager wouldn't even come talk to me. All I wanted was an apology, and to be assured it wouldn't happen again. Lost my business for life! Guess they are so big that one contractor isn't worth their time. They should be ashamed! They don't even deserve one star!

I love to go to Thompson's Building Materials! They have a huge selection of mulch, planting soils, amend, gravel, blocks, bricks, faux veneers, fountains, statues, outdoor grills, islands, and plants...you name it they have it or can get it. They sell stains and stuccos, etc all manner of exterior treatments. I love to walk around there and get ideas. They have several custom water features, such as water falls and pools, to give you ideas. They carry a good selection of plants so you can do shade areas, full sun and everything in between. They yard decores are unique and I just love it all.

Went by today just to look around n look for some rock thingy I want for my yard. Wow this place is awesome! So many ideas n the set up was a very nice outing for my toddler and us . We did find what we were looking for and where glad to see that what we want is significantly cheaper then home depot. We will be returning. The bird cage was quite impressive

All employess are extremely helpful and resourceful. Everytime I go. The employees help me with my items to the car. They go out of their way. Huge selection and variety. They are way cheaper then Lowes and Home depot. They have different sands, dirt,graveland rocks. They are located north of the 10 freeway of Cherry on your left hand side. Place looks like a park and they have a huge outdoor bird cage.

I guess showing up at 6am is too early. There was no floor sales associate and no prices on the items I planned to buy. UPDATE: If no employee approaches you to provide costumer service, just go to the register employees. Luckily for us, an employee finally ask is if we were finding everything ok after about 40 minutes. Their materials seem to be of good quality. I'll go back for more materials. It's a good place to find items that might not be found at other local locations.

They are very fast to unload your truck but they can be very busy so it can take a little bit to get to you. I've had times where I'm unloaded in 20 minutes and times where it takes an hour and a half. It just depends on what time of the day you get here the earlier the better.

My whole life I thought Tompson was like an Orco distributor....masonsry supplies like brick and cinder block. Probably due mostly to the fact that my highschool masonsry class purchased material from them. But boy was I wrong. I've lived two miles from Thompson for the last 8 years, drove by it countless times, and never once even considered (let alone noticed) what they actually have to offer. As others have said, can be a little daunting when you first walk in with no direction. Went in looking for a Chinese Pistache tree. Found the "tree" area in short order, but it was only the fruit trees....rows and rows of them. Finally I resorted to asking for help, and gentleman named Juan was more than happy to take me to the trees. That particular tree they only had in a 2' box. He knew exactly what I wanted, and helped me pick the best one, and offered his opinion on amendments I should add for the terrible rocky soil in this area. I wasn't necessarily going for a larger box tree, but all in all it was a good buy. Starting with a larger tree (I'm estimating 3-4 years old) will be easier in the long run, and it was about $15-20 cheaper than I would of expected. All in all, an excellent experience and I'll be back for sure.

This is a great place for plants, rocks, bricks, whatever you need for your landscaping project. They also have barbeques and lawn art. They are always extremely helpful and give you free water and popcorn in the summer. The place is pretty clean, bathrooms are super clean, climate controlled and pleasant year around. Highly recommend shopping here, or just coming to browse and get ideas. They also have a design center of you need help.

I give it a 1 star becuase my herb plants died 3 weeks after purchase and come to find out there is no warranty after reading receipt...and after reviewing receipt i noticed i was billed more than what the plants stated cost....i purchased them from clearance section...i told female teller when being charged and she only charged me correctly for 2 of the 5 plants i purchased. Not going back here for small plants or herbs lowes/ homedepot return policy is a whole lot better. Good for material and big plants/trees
