I have heard many great things about Moon Valley Nurseries and I thought I would stop by and check it out. I was amazed at the tree/plant selection, the size of the trees, and the cleanliness of the nursery. The cherry on top was the amazing customer service I received from Steph and Bo. Steph helped me design my whole yard and made everything so simple. Bo helped with some questions regarding my front mesquite tree. I was able to get my whole yard done using the Moon Valley Card so I don't have to do it in sections! Ask about that its worth it! I was very happy I decided to shop with Moon Valley Nurseries. Wow, Dylan and his crew came to one of my neighbors houses and planted a really beautiful palm tree with some bushes around it and made it look so nice, I asked them to take a look at one of my plants that was looking a little down in the weather and they explained why it looked the way it did as well as what I could do to fix it, super friendly and really fast workers too. They have a good selection but it seems pretty overpriced. Last time I was there I told an attendant at the front I was interested in getting a specific fruit tree. He pointed in the general direction of the fruit trees and said he'd come join me in 5 minutes. The directions were a bit vague but I was able to find the right area. I waited 15+ minutes and the attendant (nor anyone else) ever came to help me. So, I just walked out of there and don't plan to return.

My wife and I were looking to put multiple plants and shrubs in our back yard. A friend recommended Moon Valley Nursery on Tatum. We walked in without an appointment and Drew greeted us and walked us around the property showing us multiple options. He was very patient with our many questions and showed a great deal of knowledge about their wide variety of options. We purchased about 13 different plants and were offered a great package deal. Jason was also there to assist as well. I would highly recommend checking out their selection. We walked in without a clue of what we wanted and walked out extremely happy with our selection and much faster than we anticipated!

Drew Z. at the Tatum location was super nice, super friendly, and very knowledgeable on the phone. He texted me some photos of some different sized palms that I was interested in. That gave me an idea of what to expect as far as price. When I visited the nursery, he again was super helpful and nice.. We went and looked at the different sizes and decided which would best fit my needs. Again, he was very knowledgable on how to care for them and what to expect as to how fast they would grow. They were scheduled and got installed within a few days. The installation team did a great job too! Overall, a great experience and a very satisfied customer. He also said to text him if I had any questions in the future. Great experience.

We were happy with our purchase and Mia was complete and thorough in giving all the needed instructions for watering these large trees 8 months ago. Recently, we called and shared photos with concern for one tree not thriving. After several weeks of caring intensely for this special needs tree, it was determined to replace it. Delivery day was several days from this decision. Matt and his crew arrived promptly and we discussed the trees' condition. We had been away for several days celebrating BD and anniversary. Together we determined to give the tree continued TLC and refrain from replacement. Having raised 7 children, I've known some needed special attention along the way. We are new to the valley and have no clue how to landscape in the Desert. Our new home needed so much work and we did not know where to start. A neighbor suggested we go to Moon and see an employee there named Ryan. We called the store and spoke to Ryan and he set an appointment to visit our home. He was prompt and went over our yard entirely. Ryan identified some problem trees that we had removed and he designed our new yard with our vision in mind. We wanted a more mid west feel to remind us of back home. Our beautiful ash and oaks we picked out at the store are amazing! We recently decided to change the appearance to our backyard, wanting to add three trees and shrubs to the existing landscape. After checking with a few nurseries, we decided to stop at Moon Valley Nursery on Tatum. The variety and quality of trees and shrubs was fantastic. With so much to choose from, it was important to seek professional advise. Fortunately, we were greeted by Larry Hyland. From the outset, Larry's high level of professionalism was evident. Larry listened to our desires and asked probing questions before offering suggestions on varieties of trees and shrubs. We had done some research before our visit; Larry was able offer additional expertise that enabled us to make an informed decision. Larry is a true professional; you're fortunate to have him as a member of your team. With our purchasing decision made, it was time for delivery and planting. The crew arrived on time and did a great. The foreman, Don, explained the process - Larry had prior to the delivery day - and ensured trees were planted in the manner we expected. He explained maintenance requirements during the first week, month, and three month periods. We couldn't have been more please with our experience. Again, the variety and quality of the selection available was amazing. This coupled with Larry's guidance made for an easy decision to purchase from Moon Valley.

Matt called ahead to alert us to his arrival time, he guided and supervised his crew based on our plans. Slightly disappointed. A great store for desert landscaping. However we got there an hour and a half before they closed and they had already covered most of the plants. They suggested we come back in 3 weeks for better weather and more variety. In addition they did not carry several of the plants we we're hoping to get. Extremely overpriced Christmas trees. Paid $100 for a ~5" tree and got the used car salesman treatment when purchasing. I assumed the prices were set and reasonable and wouldn't have to haggle over a Christmas tree. When looking up prices later, the same tree is $50 at lowes/home depot/costco, etc. Won't be coming back here again.

this place is great i had Tommy plant my entire back yard with some awesome trees. it gives my yard amazing shade and helps keep it cool for my dog and koi pond. i then decided to have a vegetable garden put in and Taylor and Kim helped me pick the best vegetables to grow. everything has been absolutely fantastic! i would definitely encourage you to check them out!!!

They offer contractors at least a 20% discount and have stated that they dictate the price and will offer non contractors the same pricing. Be sure to ask for an additional discount after what they offer you. This is a sales location remember that.

I have been to this location about 6 times in the past two months. I am a investor and buy trees and plants for the fix and flips I do. The first time I came to this nursery I wondered around for a good twenty minutes trying to find someone to help me. I ran into a guy hiding in the tree's smoking. Which I don't mind we all have to take a break here and there. He quickly put it out and asked me if I needed any help. He introduced himself as the general manager and his name was Arnie. I thought it was quite odd that such a young guy was running the store that there was no one to be found in. He showed me some plants and I had my landscaper there loading up some plants on a couple of carts. We went back to the smaller trees and he gave me a few recommendations and I picked up 6 of the black tub trees from the back. We were talking about bigger trees and he told me I couldn't get as good of a deal on those. He made me a screaming deal on 24 shrubs and 6 trees for only $300 but I had to pay cash, I didn't mind cause it was saving me money. I asked him if there was tax and he said no and helped me load up the trees and threw in 6 bags of mulch for free. Once my landscaper finished up that property I went back for another property. This one needed twice the amount of plants and trees. I waited for Arnie to come back to the front from helping a customer and he had a few things to do and had another guy get me all the plants. I didn't catch the kids name but he was a shorter younger guy. We got everything then he talked to Arnie about what I had got and he told me it was going to be $500. Which I thought was a really good deal cause most of the plants were $20 and the trees were close to $100 each. I gave him the cash in front of the office and he put it in his pocket. So the reason why I am writing this bad review wasn't because of the price or quality of the plants it was the last time I went in there and spoke to Arnie, I had asked if I could get receipts for my last 5 purchases totaling over $2000 so I could have them for tax purposes. He told me with the deal I got I couldn't get any receipts and should have my landscaper write me one for the plants but my landscaper didn't buy the plants he just planted them. I don't know what kind of business doesn't give receipts and only takes cash. The thing that bothers me the most is I spent over $2000 in a month and the manager treated me like trash when I asked for receipts for the last purchases. I asked if I could speak to his manager to get some receipts and he looked up some stuff in the computer and gave me some receipts from a different company on trees I didn't even purchase and said thats all he could give me cause the systems crashed and they lost all their data. He said that he doesn't have a manager he runs the store. If you are conducting business transactions be careful.

I agree with the positive comments about Moon Valley Nursery. We received excellent service at the store on Tatum. Jennifer helped us a lot with her deep knowledge of the plants and good design sense. As noted by others, Moon Valley has great selection – a lot more than the other nurseries we visited. We were able to pick from a good supply of each type of plant we wanted. After our initial purchase, we wanted to buy a couple more plants. Turns out that this particular variety was in short supply, so we had to go to the 7th Street location to pick them up. No problem there, but we were surprised to find that the price for the plants was different (and lower) at the 7th Street location. I just assumed that all locations would have the same pricing. As it turned out, we had purchased enough plants to get a discount that brought our cost in line with the lower cost at 7th Street, but otherwise we would have been paying $10 extra per plant at the Tatum store. I should mention that the delivery was right on time and no problem. We would highly recommend Moon Valley Nursery for your plant needs.

Worst careless planting job ever. For $800 I thought I was paying for careful expertise and got a sloppy, unfinished job that I had to supervise, then find the buried irrigation emitters, tamp down around the tree, and build a decent tree well after they left. I would never recommend Moon Valley to anyone.

He listened to what I liked or disliked, made wonderful suggestions and sketched out a plan. He was extremely knowledgeable about plants, flowers and even insects. In the planning process, he took into account color, blooming seasons, litter, water consumption, etc. He took an overwhelming task for me and made it a pleasurable experience. Well, I’d like to start off by saying what a great job the crew that came out did, I think it was like Doland or Dylan, but they were great, his guys were super nice and very patient with me when I asked them to move things around some more. I was supposed at how fast they dug the holes and put the tree in, it only took them like five minutes and then they were done, it really was something. They cleaned off my walkway and made sure that all my other plants look good as well and were overall just real helpful.

Do Not Trust this company at all. The website states one thing about their warranty on plants sold, then the sales people say another to get you to purchase. When you go back in with documents-i.e. the sales receipt and photos of DEAD TREES they sold, they find every excuse possible to not honor any warranty at all--even the owner doesn't care! Do not purchase any "living" plant at Moon Valley Nurseries-you'll be very sorry that you bought from them

We planted a tree a couple months back, but no matter what support we used, the tree leaned. With the last good monsoon storm, we knew we had to do something different. We contacted Rick Chavez at Moon Valley Nurseries, who suggested an anchor-method in securing the tree. Bryce, with tree care, came out with his crew today and placed a few anchors around the tree, it's straight!! We also feel confident that this tree is there for good!! NO STAR IS DESERVED HERE! The place is a SCAM. Do not invest in the deceit that is rooted in this business. Jason Sutter an employee, lied and tried to get cash from me for product rather than supporting the company. He spoke negative about the owner and the manager at the Tatum location. I was advised to throw out everything and was promised replacement of my product but that was just a detour to rack up a bill. After speaking with LP the district manger, the results are the same > a SALES PITCH of a discount rather than fixing the problems they caused! The END result of this nursery is>> The ROOTS of this business are ROTTEN!

Staff followed up with a call the day before to give me a four hour window and answer any questions I had. A couple of months ago we purchased a lime tree as well as some jasmine, heavenly sage, and cactus from this Moon Valley location. We worked with Randy and he was great at helping us find the plants and tree we needed, he was very knowledgeable. Purchase and delivery was easy and fast , Dons crew was easy, we didn't have to do a thing! The customer service help from Courtney for the time frame and Tyler for the follow up was amazing! Very happy with how the yard is looking now! I would recommend Moon Valley to anyone!! Thanks guys!

Moon Valley Nursery is definitely the place to go if your yard needs a make over. Their selection and customer service is top notch! We were in need of a tree to block our neighbors 2 story home from looking right into our back yard and something that wouldn’t drop a ton of leaves in our pool. Tyler was awesome and took the time to show me what would work best to solve my problem. Don and his crew were on time, efficient, and cleaned up after themselves. We love our new Ficus tree! I’ll definitely be telling my friends and family where to go for any of their plant needs.

I have had Moon Valley trees planted in the last four homes I have owned. They have always thrived and added shade and beauty to the yards, front and back. Matt Strang was the driver for the five trees I planted last year, and was the driver again for two more that I had planted in the front yard. Matt came on time and his crew had the two trees planted quickly. They look beautiful. I have never been disappointed. I guess you could say I'm a Moon Valley frequent flyer.
