Anybody who would write a bad review about these guys has to be a competitor because these guys rock. I'm always walking out of there with some sort of discount and bundle deals too. The staff are great quick to help and answer questions. They have the cheapest prices by far and overallan overall great experience. I go there all the time

Love the guys in there! I had stopped by a couple months ago with questions about some sick peppers and other veggies. One of the genttmlemen saw me looking and asked. His recommendation was spot on and saved my babies. These guys will take care of you with any issue you need! Very polite and respectful bunch! I won't go anywhere else hands down best shop in the valley.

I called and had an item placed on hold. I just drove all the way to this place just to find out it wasn't on hold like I was told and they were sold out. So I drove here for nothing and the guy working there wasn't even willing to make me a deal to make up for this. I was going to purchase other items as well and have spent a lot of money here in the past. Not willing to take care of a customer when you make business mistake is grounds to go spend my money elsewhere. I'm sure your competitors will appreciate my business. I'm never coming back here again!

Looking at these reviews made me want to leave one, these guys have always been super friendly and helpful. Have never even seen a hint of rudeness.. They have good info, good knowledge, and they have generally very good prices compared to other places I've been to around town. These 1 star people obviously have issues because my several experiences here have been nothing short of great.

Update—- No one spoke to me, or any other individual that was never in the parking lot. I WAS ALONE! Memory must be a little Hazy bc you are mistaking your temper tantrum with another encounter you are fabricating about to protect your business, which I understand, but don’t respect; not at my expense. Maybe it wasn’t you, but there was an employee who STORMED OUT OF THE BUILDING appeared to be crying and/or pouting with his arms crossed like a little girl on a wireless phone pretending to call a number on the tow sign. I WISH I COULD MAKE THIS UP! Your negative reviews are very consistent. I was waiting in the parking lot for 5 minutes before an employee came storming out of the store with a phone in his hand pretending to call the tow company they contract with to have me removed. He didn’t know I was waiting for my phone to charge & turn back on so I could refer to a list of items my daughter needed for a school protect. Will pay 100% more at Home Depot, Lowe’s, Amazon, etc before EVER COMING BACK HERE!

We apologize for this customer not having a great experience, but we pride ourselves on offering the freshest soils and fertilizers as possible. This customer attempted this return 6 weeks after the date of purchase on a perishable item, and it specifically states on our receipt that returns are only accepted 15 days after date of purchase excluding nutrients and soils.This is like trying to return a gallon of milk a month after it was purchased. We might have been a little more accommodating if they would have controlled their profanities... We are local boys grinding it out to give our customers the best customer service in the state, competitive pricing, and the knowledge of the game to back it up. We are not perfect and once and a while someone slips through the cracks, but we stand behind our decision and if another store chooses to sell old soil and nutrients then we have no control over it. It seems the only bad reviews we get are from the uneducated or a disgruntled shop owner who has been put out of business. Come see us and make your own decisions about who we are and see where the real growers shop in Arizona. There is Heinekens in the fridge boys and girls and regardless of whether you see us or not, all we ask is that you keep it local!

Didn’t think it was worth posting a negative review about my experience here till I noticed the owner actually had the audacity to discredit another reviewer about their bad experience. I walked into this place, was never greeted; but instead followed around the store. An acquaintance of an employee walked in, it wasn’t till then I had a question about some material. Employee seemed upset I was interrupting his little pow wow, was very short with his answer, and zero help. Price checked at Home Depot and Lowe’s, significantly cheaper.

This is my one and only Grow Store. Great group of people. Lots of great deals. They will special order stuff. They will tell you how to get stuff set up and running. They will even tell you to go buy stuff elsewhere if they know where better stuff is and that is good honesty. Hydro Depot for the Win!!!!!

I walked in here knowing ZERO and the guys tag team taught me a lot. I had a basic understanding of what I'm looking for and they found me a few better, smarter, faster and much less expensive ways to get my setup going. It's been 3 weeks and it's going gangbusters. I go to metro hydro depot all the time and they are always great. Descent prices to begin with, consistent with in-store prices but for the supplies i need all the time they are awesome. Make sure you hit this place regularly for those things that you need for your grow and you will no doubt see those manager deals you seek.

A one stop shop for all your hydroponics needs. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Make sure you bring a couple dollars cash to buy something from their vending machine it gets you a discount on a few things in sotre!

Seriously good shop. Went to the front counter and asked for help and was greeted immediatley and helped out. The guy who helped me was new and from Colorado, I forget his name but he helped me alot with desert condition growing and lighting. You guys got a new customer in Phoenix. Oh yeah and the dude carried my soil and rock wool out for me ... dont waste your time elsewhere in phoenix.

Sighs... This is in response to Carmen down below... Unfortunately this customers item was very small and slid off of our red SPO shelf and wasn't found until this afternoon. We attempted to extend him our cost on a comparable item but that wasn't good enough for him and all excuses aside, we hate to see our service slip. This guy loves to leave bad reviews... I mean a bad review to Burger King because you ate too many cheeseburgers and got a tummy ache? Come on bruh? We grown men around here and anybody who shops with us knows we do whatever it takes to satisfy our customers needs and would gladly give this item up for free to make up for it. We can confidently say we are the best game in town. The vendors know it, the other shops know it. This is where the real growers shop in Az so don't let a guy who seems to enjoy leaving bad reviews stop you from taking advantage of what we at Hydroponics Depot have to offer. We deal with volumes of people, and guy who spends a dollar is just as important as the big fish but if you're gonna spout like you spent a grip let me set the record straight. $538.11 in 14 months and hasn't been in our shop in over a year. We keep it real, we expect our customers to as well. All our bad comments stem from Disgruntled business owners or people that you just can't please in the first place. If given a chance to make it right, then this wouldn't have been another bad review like the Mcdonalds, Burger King, and KFC reviews. Maybe dude should start eating at Sprouts.

They were able to lead us in the right direction and Henry was there to answer questions and provide recommendations when we needed it. Not going back. When we went in to buy pots and soil they advised with the pots we were buying that it was going to be 2 pots will take about one bag worth of soil. Needles to say we bought 80 pots and so we need 45 bags of soil right? Wrong, we bought it and have 14 bags left over, in an air conditioned facility. We called to ask about returning the left over bags or at least some as we won't have a use for this much left over soil... They advised that due to the temperature outside (not relevant as we have kept the bags inside in 75 degrees) but that we should have returned then within that week.... We didn't even start on it until last week so we didn't know until we were finished getting everything ready this week. The manager wouldn't budge after we spent over 800! After speaking with another store who advised the fact that they blamed the temperature was ridiculous seeing how it could be stored outside and trucked over in heat before even getting to the store... So to have another store give their opinion that hydronics depot is being petty about the situation they kind of got us suck in due to their employee giving the wrong information I am Never coming here again. Super disappointed.
