Clean, well organized, not as busy as other grocers in town. Excellent meat and produce. Prices generally a bit high; Excellent for a small shop, but may break the bank if doing a 2 week shop for a family- I estimate a full shop of $300 at Woodman's would be $375+ at Schnucks.

I gave this place three stars because their prices are way higher than other local grocery stores. However, they did have the frozen fordhook lima beans I was looking for, which I used to be able to find at Woodman's but Woodman's has stopped carrying them for some reason. So I will have to make a special trip to Schnucks now to get these lima beans because no one else seems to have them between Janesville and Madison. Other than their being overpriced, Schnucks seemed like a decent store.

I specifically went to the Janesville Schnucks because they usually have the best produce in town. Boy was I wrong. The produce there was VERY expensive and also didn't look very good. I might as well just go to the local discounted stores like Woodman's or Wal-Mart and they are much cheaper. I was very disappointed!

Love their selection of Produce. And their Deli & Soup and Salad bar is amazing. Fried Chicken and Potato Wedges are the Bomb!!! Oh and Shout out to the cake decorator- she writes so beautifully on cakes when I have requested a few to be written on in the past. My only complaint is the price of Groceries in this place. But I guess it's worth it for good quality and a great selection.

This is the last time I shop at schnucks went in for something fast for dinner tonight and decided to get the fried chicken Texas potatoes macaroni salad and rolls Texas potatoes were so bad you had to spit them out $35.00 right in the trash what is going on in this store? Went from the best one in Janesville to the worst one .... hope people see this post and think twice about shopping there

I wish we had a Schnucks closer to Whitewater or Elkhorn. They do grocery stores right. Fresh fruits and vegetables with misters. Definitely beats Wal-Mart

My boyfriend and I recently moved to Janesville. Schnucks is the main grocery store we go to since it is close and decent prices. We have always had a good experience there. Last night, when it was down pouring rain, a worker had two umbrellas, and was walking people to their car. I had never ever seen a grocery store do this, it was so kind, caring and awesome of them to do this! I was speaking with an older lady waiting to run out into the rain, she had a knee brace on and was hard for her to get around, so this was tremendous help to her, as well.

When we go here there are many free samples of things for kids 10 and under. Also the deli-section has great freshly sliced lunch meat. The other foods are somewhat expencive though. But its a great place to stop for deli-meat or fruit, from my experience.

I used to shop Schnucks for all of my groceries, but the customer service is horrible, not to mention the highest prices of any grocery in Janesville. ( I would pay more, for great customer service) Now, I only go there to buy Boar’s Head meats and cheeses, since they are the only ones that sell it in Janesville. Every time, it is such an ordeal for them to cut my deli meat the way I ask. This meat is not cheap, it’s over $9 a pound. This visit was my last. I’m tired of the rude and sarcastic employees. I noticed there were hardly any customers, I imagine I’m not the only one that’s moving on to better customer service. Now, I will drive an hour for my Boar’s Head! ( if there was a choice, I would have given ZERO stars)
