Nice little store in Salem WV. I found what I needed. Was a little pricey. I didn't want to drive to Clarksburg so this is where I chose to shop today. There is a parking lot. Parking is free. Handicapped parking. Handicapped accessible.

Although I did give this IGA grocery store a 5/5, it was not just because it's the ONLY grocery store in Salem, WV. In this day and age it is very hard to find a "Big Box" grocery store that offers the personal attention and assistance a smaller, locally owned store does. From fresh produce to name brand items, this particular IGA hits the mark!!

06/23 ordered a 12 piece chicken/no potatoes and cole slaw, greasy chicken(decent taste, but not crispy), worst...and I mean of all I've ever eaten, worst cole slaw anywhere!!! Couldn't possibly be fresh made, was tiny pieces like cat food and taste...nasty. And, they piled the greasy nasty jo jo potatoes all over my chicken after I said no potatoes. First time ordering from their deli, and absolutely the last. I live in Salem and plan on shopping at Food Lion for the next 3-6 months without buying so much as a loaf of bread from them after that experience.

This supermarket is in my hometown. I go here several times a week. They have about everything you need. I like this local supermarket, that saves me a trip to Clarksburg or Bridgeport when I'm off from work.

This is a grocery store that features good delicatessen and bakery products.The prices are ok.It is the only grocery store in this town.The brand products are also great.The store is always clean.There is plenty parking.The owner of the store is friendly as well as the staff.They are always ready to help and go out of the way to find specific product request and please customers.As a senior citizen,I am delighted when I call them to do my grocery shopping and deliver.

Salem IGA is owned and opperated by the nicest family around here. Pillars of the community, helping anyone they can, the fluharty's are a great family. I would suggest anyone go there to shop and get groceries.

You could not ask for a better example of a family run business , involved in supporting their community! Mrs. Fluharty, even comes out to help pack groceries....Kevin and Karla are always helpful in ordering what you need or finding what you need. Even during storms that no other place opened, these folks did! Kudos! You may find the prices are a little higher than other big chain stores, but I will pay those prices to have someone who knows you by name, asks about your family, and supports their community!
