Great vibe. Bustling & full of energy. The Pike’s Pit BBQ was our lunch on that day (their potato salad IS that good. There are MANY options and all of the ones we’ve tried so far were really good. Would always come here whenever we’re having out of town friends

Always a lot of fun. Few things to make sure you do: -Watch someone throw a salmon -Put some money in the pig and rub his nose for good luck -Buy some flowers for your sweetheart -Put some gum on the gum wall -Get some Beecher cheese! After that, the waterfront is just a few steps away!

A must-see whilst in Seattle. Great buzz about the place with a wide range of stalls and shops to wander around. If you're looking for something to eat or drink or just have some time to kill exploring this is a good start. Make sure you explore properly and go down the little alleys and open doors, there's a lot of hidden gems here that aren't obvious from street level.

An amazing experience filled with a wide variety of shops and vendors. You could easily spend several days exploring Pike Place Market and STILL not see everything. Definitely a must if you visit Seattle. Watching the fish being thrown around the marketplace was definitely a highlight.

Difficult parking. Major crowds on cruise ship days. Good people watching and always musicians. Decent selection of shops and vendors. Best place for fresh flowers. Easy walk to waterfront. Lots of tucked away stores on different levels where you can escape the hoards. Worth grabbing a drink and enjoying the view at one of the pubs. Pick up some bakery goods while you are there and catch the flying fish show.

This is a Seattle must see. Very fun place to walk through and find nice ideas and food. Famous for flying fish sales and very good fresh seafood to order for take home or air delivery. Nice viewing areas of waterfront and the city. Just remember it really closes down at about 5pm so get there earlier if you are wanting the real deal!

It's the place to go in Seattle. While you're there, go see the world's first Starbucks... Join the line to get in (sorry, I just don't understand the attraction) or the dozens of people taking photos outside. Anyway, there's lots to see inside the market, including some amazing flower stalls. Definitely worth a visit.

My favorite are the flower stalls. The fruit stands are full of in-season fruit, but I can find those at most markets. The fish and seafood are impressive, and the fish throwing acts are entertaining. The art and miscellaneous knickknacks are creative, funny, and thought-provoking. However, the flowers are gorgeous and beautifully arranged. All types and colors available. Prices range from $ single stems to small $5-7-10 bouquets to very large, towering vase $15-20 arrangements. White or brown paper, often already wrapped with a plastic bag of water to keep the blooms fresh. There are several stalls, each with their own style of arrangement. I prefer to visit them all before deciding on what to purchase that day. I hope to be back soon!

Beyond great seafood, fresh produce and Grown in Washington goods, PPM also has a ton of amazing walk up and sit down restaurants. Today I enjoyed a delicious, stuffed lamb Gyro with Greek fries, sampled the fresh peaches, decided not to wait in line for Seattle's best cheese (but I'll go back), boogied with a few talented street musicians and checked out a few stores. Always good times in Seattle, even with the rain.

Such an awesome place I'm already planning to go back! We were only there for about 3 hours so I didn't get to do as much as I wanted here. We explored the first top 2 levels of the market. They had such fresh and amazing produce. We bought super sweet plums from Mike. And truffles, saffron, and honey to take home to San Diego with us. Wanted to buy the beautiful flower bouquets but I bought the dried ones instead. So many awesome vendors!!! A must do!

We were visiting Seattle and thought we'd drop into Pike Place Market. Being a person who lives on organization, I felt a bit overwhelmed with the layout. I wanted to see everything but there were too many paths I could take and I found it difficult to figure out where I'd gone and what I'd seen. I know, this is probably just a me problem. However, if you are like me I'd suggest spending sometime to see if you can locate a map or guide online. Moving on to things most people can relate to, parking was easy to find. There are a couple spots around the market and the one we went to had a couple of available spaces but it didn't have many spots to begin with. Depending on where you are in the market, the crowd can range from tolerable to "why aren't we moving?!". We tried a couple vendors including the only Bubble Tea shop I saw. It was good for the most part. There was also a grilled cheese stand outside which was good. My favourite part was probably the floral part of the market. Such beautiful flowers in great condition for a bargain price! I only wish I called Seattle home so I could bring home beautiful bouquets every week!

What can I say about the Pike Street Market? Just that there’s history, shops, restaurants, and TONS of people! But for tourists its def a must see! My dad was visiting so i took him there, we had loads of fun, we even road the Seattle Big Wheel. FYI its $17 per person for 3 rounds. The views are spectacular!!

Dan Hardaker

A must see in Seattle. It gets busy so bring plenty of patience but it's really enjoyable to wander through the market and listen to the musicians and watch for the fish flying around. Some great homemade products to be found too. There are multiple floors so be sure not to only see the ground floor, it's a bit of a maze to navigate around.

Mark Laufmann

Crowded, crazy, figuring out parking is like learning to read Chinese if you are a rural person. But, once you actually get there it is very cool. So much fresh fish, veggies, fruits, flowers, etc. Lots of neat shops and eateries. It will take several hours to take it all in.

Ezra Ben-David

Great place with virtually anything you need. Just walking around is cool. Between the smells in the air the foods you can taste and the music in your ears from the local buskers. Two thumbs up.

Always so much fun visiting Pikes Market. From the fresh meats/seafood, to the farmers market, and down through the depths of all the wonderful shops and vendor villages.. Pikes is a place you don't want to miss out on!

Coco Tollgaard

Gorgeous flower displays; interesting fish markets and a whole lot of other food and souvenirs. Busy, touristy, but also a good place to sit and relax in between sightseeing. Find the "secret garden" to the left of the entrance to the market -pretty! Had lunch at Old Stove Brewery- quick, attentive service, tasty food, price acceptable.

Zack Breegle

Very unique shopping area! If you're in the seattle area you must go here! Great stores and seems endless. Also you must take a picture with the bubblegum wall! Great food and unique cultures. Very artsy! Definitely a must go!

Edwin GR

It's a great place to spend a few hours of your afternoon eating, buying art from locals and grocery shopping (lots of seafood!!). Lots of people hanging out , I Really enjoyed my time there. Also it's by the water so you will get nice views of downtown Seattle.

The flowers are the most amazing sight to see. Coming from the desert of Las Vegas where flowers bloom and gone within 4 days for the season this market brings back your appreciation for such beauty. Then comes the seafood, fruits and vegetables. Essentially all locally grown; size, color and texture is impeccable. Big hustle and bustle with some street entertainers. Local artists with some interesting pieces are easily found. Numerous eateries with a multitude of takes on seafood to choose from. I can see locals coming daily/weekly for flowers and seafood. Makes wonder what the grocery stores are like!

Beatriz Beanvides

Lots of things to see, didn't even get to check out every store! Great place to get beautiful flowers and for a really good price too. Yes, some stuff there is very expensive but local. The art especially is beautifully made. I love that Pike Place helps build the community together.

Zach Smith

This place is so iconic! Sure it's crowded and touristy but it's popular because it's great. It's full of delicious sights and smells and sounds, always lively and eclectic. Pike Place is legendary, so much so that The Head and the Heart did a free concert here the other night! Highly recommended :)

Vanita Prakash

Cool place. Made some purchase. Farm fresh goods. Plenty of good places/stalls for food. Never seen fish throwing. It was cool. Will visit again for sure with more time.

Lorne Black

It was surprisingly busy for a random Monday but an amazing experience nonetheless. We stopped to get a sampling of different foods at different places and all were above expectations. The only downside is finding a place to eat. You really have to search out spots or make alternate plans but it is still worth the stop. I suspect that other local markets don’t have this much of a problem but the experience is totally Seattle.

Chris Shearer

What a great little eclectic group of stores in a high character location. Lived a lot of the wooden floors. Multiple floors, so don't forget to visit all levels. Of course you have to see the fish, but then the fresh fruits and vegetables, jewelry shops, book store, restaurants, and so much more. Even fun just to walk around without anything to really being shopping for.

Martin Valencia

I enjoy walks through the market. The ambient is great and the shops there are nice. The floral shops have beautiful flowers for very low prices. There's plenty of craft stands and fruit stands as well. Definitely will stop by again next time I'm in Seattle.

This place is always busy and that just adds to the vibe of it. Its such a cool place to be in and there is tons of small shops and places to get some great food! Also the first star bucks is in here and is great to visit.

Tosh Beltane

This place is cool! There's all sorts of shops and fresh food available, which is a godsend in such a big city. There's this cool little Chinese place downstairs which has AWESOME buns and spring rolls for grab and go sale which are good to eat while you shop.

Oh wow did I say that you can get there very early and know the people setting up there stands. Yea that was the best because they are also excited to get their game on for the day. Flower stands, Craftsmen and Women, TEXTILES!! Just the sound of a market happening is intriguing. You will remember this for a very long time. I do and I was there when I was a teenager.

Dewaine Beard

There is too much to say about this amazing Seattle institution. I always make a point of going early in the morning as the stalls are first opening. I browse for fresh fruit, warm pecan rolls, and fresh milk. Building your own breakfast as you walk around and smell the market is a real treat.

Jonathan Shatos

Amazing experience. Thought it was going to be a few farmers market stands, but wow was it way bigger/diverse. Tons and tons of stores ranging from food to books to anything else you can think of. Stores are spread out in a wide are and on multiple levels (elevators available). Can be a bit confusing to find your way around, but that is part of the fun.

Roxxanne Turner

So many cool ships and booths. Get there early though. The flower stalls are ways backed with the most beautiful bouquets of every type of flower you can imagine. The likes place fish guys throw the fish every hour, sometimes more often. Make sure to explore the other levels of the market because the best shops are below the surface. And just have fun with it!

Cameron Stewart

Fun the first time you go. Great place to take visiting guests. The novelty wears off after that. Really fun shops and hard to find items if your looking for something specific. Worth your time.

Jamie Loper

FUN. Of course the fish throwing is what I wanted to see. There are tons of vendors and food. There are also a lot of people but it's worth taking a walk over. The Great Wheel at pier 57 is a pretty cool sight. Apparently, it's the tallest Ferris wheel on the West Coast! It's nice to walk down the pier and check out the sunset.

Cody Drilling

Very busy on the weekend, mid morning, so may be a place to avoid if you don't like crowds. However, when going during peak time you have access to all the shops. You can find fresh seafood, fruits and vegetables, as well as handcrafted goods and flower bouquets. Also, there is a fish market near the end that pull in a lot of viewers while the unload their catch, as they make it a great show to see!

Danny Carrao

While a great attraction to see things, unless you're there for shopping, it's going to be a let down to you, I think. Great local products, but I see so many people just walk by without buying anything. Try some of the snacks, plan to have a meal there, allocate some of your souvenir budget to buying something. It'll make it much more fun for you. Of course, go see the gum wall and read the post-it notes, and snap a few pictures of the waterfront and the water while you're at it! Take your time and enjoy it!

Bruce Golson

This is a must do for any visitor to Seattle. Fantastic ambiance with vendors selling everything under the sun. The fruits and vegetables are exotic and the fish market a real treat. Gets really crowded, but that's half the charm. Plenty of places to grab a quick bite eat. Many interesting things to behold; especially the people!

Joe Spadea

Pike Place Market is exactly what you'd expect and it's still fun. Lots of terrific local vendors on several floors. Don't miss sampling the amazingly fresh vegetables! Early in the morning is best before the big crowds.

Jessica Katon

So much to see and do and smell. The fresh flowers are absolutely glorious! The Gum Wall, while gross, is kind unique and fun. The market browsing was fun.

Patricia Roach

Pike place market was fun. So neat to see the fish market in action. The guys are great! They make the fish come to life! We were here on a Saturday at noon time, it was busy! Lots of peeps all trying to get the experience and the locals trying to get their veggies and fish.

Silver Horse

This place is HUGE! I was not expecting so many shops and so many floors. They have the most beautiful flower arrangements I have ever seen! The flowers are cheaper than you will find anywhere. Perfect for weddings, funerals, or any occasion. If you have never seen anyone throw fish, that is another fun thing to watch here at the market. Also, they have a very long gum wall, you can add your gum to make a memory! Don't forget to stop at the best place to eat Red Robin.

Dallas Garr

Pike Place Market is one of those iconic places you just have to visit while in Seattle. It is almost impossible to take in the whole thing in one visit and actually you shouldn't even try. Just see what you see, taste what you taste and don't worry about what you don't see. Having said that, it is almost imperative that you visit flower row to see the incredible selection of cut flowers that are available. It is probable good that I had airplane reservations or I would have wanted to take all of them home with me.

Georgina Neave

Do not miss a visit to Pike Place Market while you are in it close to Seattle. Go early if you can to avoid the crowds. You will see them doing the 'fish tossing' which us hilarious. The flowers, fish, fruits & veggies are amazing. the original Starbucks is here - don't bother to join the crazy long lines (the coffee will taste just the same!). However, breakfast at the French Le Pannier cafe is a must!

Angelina Kelley

Pike Place was huge! Something for everyone. Multiple levels so be prepared for stairs or wait for the elevator. French cut flowers galore. We saw three fresh seafood shops. Fresh produced and baked goods. Local honey was plentiful. Browsed in the early afternoon today (Friday) and the aisles were crowded. Several restaurant options and we ate at the Pink Door on Post Alley. Delicious! We walked along the waterfront from our hotel but paid parking looked plentiful.

Awesome place to visit. Great fresh seafood. Awesome markets. The flowers they sell are gorgeous. There are plenty of good stores to see as well as a few places to eat. Be prepared to deal with big crowds. You can move but may need to exercise some patience during the process

The views it leads to are amazing and the open fish, live plants and flowers, and crafts sections are absolutely refreshing. The shops are very diverse and invite all walks of people, there is even wheelchair access through ramps and elevators. Visited on a weekend, will acknowledge the masses of people and occasional traffic that goes onto the main Pike Street. Lots of things to see, people watching wise and shops wise.

Craig Brown

It always had the best of Seafood and Beautiful produce. It's not the shinning star as is was back in 1981. Just a tourist novelty stop. Get back to your food roots. As an Executive Chef I always remembered berries from the northwest the amazing flavors and perfection, Beautiful. Fish and shellfish galore. You have less produce, less food items. Because tourists are looking for instant foods.

Michael Fritz

Great place to find fresh flowers & other vendors down here. I made a few small purchases. Fresh Hazelnuts here. Great organic skin products. Put your walking shoes on. It's quite the wall down a very steep hill. Overall it was a great experience.
