This place is amazing... They have more organic food than any place I've been. I had a list of ingredients I needed that I've never heard of before. I asked one of the associates working there and he led me around the store and showed me where each item was. Very knowledgable and helpful staff, wide organic selection. Prices are equivalent to Wholefoods.

GREAT store!!! Ran all over NJ looking for 2 specific supplements, and nobody had them. But Organic Basic Food had BOTH, and at a very reasonable price. In addition, they had many other items for my stringent detox diet. Wonderful selection, good prices, helpful staff!!! (And I am not easily impressed, LOL.)

I've shopped here for years. Great selection & if you watch for sales, you can stock up on necessary healthful shelf stable (like coconut oil) items w/o breaking the bank. Also, staff is friendly w/o being imposing.

Every where I went in the store I was followed,and that was in 2000.I have never gone back,and never will .You can keep this joint,it just smells rotten . Jersey City ! One star is one too many. I saw the reviews ,and "oh I have gone all lover N.J. ,and they had what I wanted.Give me a break.The come here from other parts of the world,and think that the are Gods gift to retail.B.S.It will be a grand day when thy close for stinking good.Plus if it is that hard to find, we just go to Manhattan. This joint just gets into my craw.I had wanted to sound off on this joint for so long ,thank God .All those stars,how about five filled doggie bags,and I do not mean the kind that you get @ a restaurant,I mean the kind you use {not in this town though} when you are picking up after your dog. {not in this town}

This is my favorite go-to store for all things related to a healthy lifestyle. The selection, sales and customer service is great! I've been shopping there since 2013 ish, and love how knowledgeable and friendly the staff is. I now live a good twenty miles away and still travel there regularly!!!

I loved this store - their sale prices were excellent. If I lived in the NYC area, I would have bought far more than Chia seeds, which were on sale. I loved their vast selection of goodies - items I haven't seen at other health food stores. The next time I visit my daughter in NYC, we're going here again. Of course she has to go here now and then anyway for her job - lucky! This is a must stop if you're shopping on Washington Street.

I've been living in Hoboken for 15 years and have been a costumer at this store for at least the same amount of time. Never had a problem, but today the story changed. I was treated very badly by one of its employees. The Asian old man was extremely R U D E, cutting me off short and not responding my questions about essential oils, that I was trying to buy to use on my beard. He even insinuate that I may have a disease when I was trying the tester on the skin of my hand. It was a very bad experience since I'm very kind to everyone. He was very lucky I'm a civilized human being and just lost a good costumer.
