Kind of off the path location wise, but good food and Emily Minor was great tonight. THEY DON'T CHARGE A COVER HERE ANYMORE! The place is wide open for a folk music fan take over. Good bar. Good service. Big enough for a good crowd, to small to be over crowded. Far enough out to be a good locals hangout. Good coffee house vibe that is wide open for a dedicated crowd to gather. Distraction free zone with all of desired casual adult offerings. I hope they can keep the quality of an Emily coming here.

Disappointed in this “new” menu. They should have never changed a good thing! We drove over an hour for the catfish dinner. The website said the lunch special was fried catfish for the day. Looked at the menu and couldn’t find it. Asked waitress and was informed it had been discontinued! Seriously?! That fast?! They kept a BLT sandwich on the menu but are no longer serving fried catfish! Terrible decision. If the owner sees this, please reconsider that and UPDATE YOUR WEBSITE!

Really enjoyed the experience, had a dinner party for work, and our service was impeccable. They respected my food allergies, and delivered a great experience. The Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich was really good, and the fries were okay, I put the slaw on my sandwich, which gave it a good pop.

⭐️⭐️TEN STARS!! ⭐️⭐️ Great beer / great food / great customer service/ kid friendly / live music venue. Visited on a Tuesday around 1pm (lunch time). Hostess immediately greeted me and allowed me pick my own table. Restaurant was clean, music playing in background was soft enough to easily converse with people at your table and the decor on walls/ ceilings were fun without being overwhelming. Heidi was my waitress and she was so sweet and attentive! She made some great meal recommendations and checked in on me several times throughout my meal. Food came out FAST!!! Well under 10 minutes and it was all hot and fresh! Literally finger licking good y’all! One of my first meals in the area and I felt so spoiled. I WILL be back for many more meals here! Ordered/pictured: Tennessee Philly sandwich and a side of skillet macaroni. Puckett draft beer. **Half off Tennessee draft beer every Tuesday.

Pucketts is a local institution. The Murfreesboro location is a little more low-key than the one downtown Nashville, and that's a good thing. Lots of space, live music (don't plan on having much conversation when they play), private room available. Food options across the board and a strong local draft beer list. The smoked meatloaf is recommended.

I was disappointed with this restaurant. The food did not arrive at our table hot, it was barely lukewarm. We asked for a bowl of lemon for our ice water upon ordering, and we had to keep asking for it. The waitress acted like a deer in the headlights whenever we asked her for something, and she stuck straws in our ice water when we clearly asked her not too. The worst part of this dining experience; the barbecue sauce came out of the bottle on the table like soup. Surely management can come up with a more creative way of reaching their profit margins. This restaurant is a prime example of what customers are willing to put up with, and calling it good. I won't be returning.

Love this precious towj. This Puckett's has a buffet, but after looking at it, I chose to order off the menu. Just didn't seem like it was worth the extra money since I didn't see myself eating that much. And the items on the menu look better. I had a breakfast with soft scrambled eggs, a biscuit with gravy, home fries and bacon. Very good. Service was a little slow, but very friendly. Definitely worth another visit.

I ordered a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. It was very good and spicy. While in the back it got dropped and the waiter came and informed me about the incident. I was impressed they owned up to their mistake, but they even went above that! After many apologies from multiple staff, I was informed due to the extended wait my meal would be free. I was throughly impressed with their customer service and the food was great!

Manager offered a gift card to give them another shot, we went for lunch this week, didn't use the gift card. Bar B Q was good, sauce was good, sides were a mixed bag. Good beans/sweet potato fries, Cole slaw was not as good. Kinda pricey. ORIGINAL REVIEW BELOW Came in at 10:55am on Christmas Eve, waited 3 minutes for a table and a server, then they wouldn't serve us breakfast because they stop serving at 11am. Now, I'm choosing a new restaurant while sitting at the table. The coffee is good.

This was our first time at Puckett's and it was amazing!! The food was good,but I absolutely loved the atmosphere. There was a performer by the name of Andrew who would take suggestions including my three year old as she went on stage to personally tip him and he played Rudolph for her. He was upbeat and fun and engaged with the crowd,and we met a lovely couple whom I hope will be future friends for a long time to come. Then after dinner and a show, Hattie Jane's Creamery is attached to Puckett's with the most delicious ice cream or hot coco, or coffee if your not into sweets. I personally enjoy the mulekick it's their coffee flavored ice cream.mmmmm. We will come back cause we had such a good first time experience. Great hosts and managers and most of the servers were good too! Tis the season to be jolly at Puckett's!

Good food, kind service with very little wait time. My sis loved the catfish. My spinach queso was tasty. The ice cream, which is from the sister shop next door is really, really good. They always seem to have some kind of special and depending on the day, live music. Check it out if you're on the square.

We've been several times now, and the food is pretty good (maybe a 3.5 in stars) but not much of it. (Portions are rather small while prices are pretty high) Kinda like a cross between a Cracker Barrell and a Jim & Nick's BBQ (not including those delicious little corn cakes)+ an extra $5 - $10 or more for many dishes. Overall it isn't bad, but when I eat out I want really good food of a decent quantity for a decent price or amazing food for a higher price... This place doesn't quite meet up to expectations.

The location and the business is beautiful. It has a nice and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant had several customers when I visited and they appeared to be enjoying there visit. The staff was friendly. I ordered the salmon whiskey platter for $18.49 at the bar. It tasted plain and the portion is small. I expect a bigger portion and a tasty salmon at that price. I won't go back. It's unfortunate, because before I received my meal I was thinking "I need to come back to taste their ribs"

Food was good came out fairly quickly. The one downside of this visit was when our waiter brought us our bill he disappeared and we probably waited a good 15 minutes finally went to the hostess because the waiters and waitresses actually have to check you out. The hostess was gracious enough to track down our waiter. The one-hour parking right around the restaurant put you on a rather tight schedule.

We have always loved Puckett’s. We love to take visiting family and friends when they’re in town too. The fried green tomato BLT is always a huge hit and so are the fried pickles as an app. However, the disappointment has just been recently. About a month ago we went with friends and my husband ordered the Nashville hot chicken. The chicken was dry and hard like it had been fried too long...not to mention it was incredibly salty. Not good. Then we visited again this week with a different group of friends. We had a large party and our waitress was awesome. She did such a good job of checking on us and communicating the issues of the night. (But she shouldn’t have had to apologize.) My whiskey platter with blackened chicken was really good. However, when we asked for drinks, the bar was out of the soda we requested. So we switched drinks. Then they were out of the cherries used in the second drink. Finally the bartender worked with us to concoct a new cocktail and she did an awesome job too!! Thank you to her for her willingness to get creative. But then after ordering our meals, our waitress had to return to the table to tell us they’re out of Brisket. Brisket!!?!? It’s on multiple menu items. And it was only 6:30. Not really late enough to be running out of food! Needless to say my husband was not happy. It was a bummer of a dinner and our bill was a couple hundred $$’s. I write this review mostly to say we want Puckett’s to stick around. We had always enjoyed the food and the service and the live music is a great addition to the Square!! Please figure out what’s happening and make the necessary changes. We’ll be back and hope that things are on the upswing!

We ordered the brisket, being a big fan of brisket it was not very tender and didn’t have enough smoky taste to it. The brisket was good but had better. I ordered the smoked meatloaf and asked for sweet potatoe fries. I got green beans instead and my meatloaf had a hot gravy but was almost ice cold in it. It’s very obvious they make these ahead of time and put in the freezer and then reheat them on the grill. The menu touts “and finished on the grill” when it should say “reheated on the grill.” The waitress was nice enough but after I sent my meal back I just sat and watched everyone else eat and then got myself fast food after. I have no doubt that my fast food burger was frozen ahead of time, but it was nice and hot when I received it. In case my one star and my review aren’t clear enough, I’d suggest going elsewhere.

The food was great however I felt the waitress lacked integrity. We placed our order. When she returned my friends order was wrong. She received chicken wings which was incorrect because she doesn't eat meat. The waitress was taking it back and stoped and asked me if I wanted them as if she was going to give them to me, I replied yes. (She charged me for the wings which I just decided to not say anything) After dinner she asked if we wanted peach cobbler we decided that we would have it. She returned with the bill and our dessert. I put $16.10 cash along with my card filled out the slip zero tip for $30.00 to be placed on my card. She asked if she needed to bring change I said no because I gave her the exact bill total. With the intention of giving her cash for her tip once we finished. when she returned she asked how was the cobbler we didn't like it because it was cold. She said she would heat it for us which was fine. However when we were eating the cobbler I could pork in it while she was still standing there. So she went to go get the manager. The manager apologized which we accepted. Then she mentioned that she had taken it off of our bill. Which was fine when I asked for my change the waitress said we didn't have any change comming because she adjusted the bill after we said it was cold. Which was not true. I paid the original bill not the corrected bill. She did not return the money she keep it as a tip and when she got caught she acted like she had told us the bill was adjusted. I was tired and I was trying to explain to the manager but but I was getting interrupted by the waitress. Our bill was not $47.10. I feel the waitress adjusted the bill and decided to keep our change with out telling us about the adjustment. But because she got caught kept taking over the conversation so she didn't have to return the change. It was only $6.00 approximately but again it the principal. You should never steal money because you think you not going to receive a tip. We did tip her before the confusion. I'm sorry I like the food but at this point I will not recommend eating here nor will I return when I am in town. Until this is fixed. Integrity is everything ! Update, I spoke to the manager and she was very kind and she did tell me the issue would be looked into. So I am very satisfied with the out come. An I will return when I am in town. Puckett's Grocery & Restaurant is truly a gem in the Nashville area. Puckett's was the first place I ate when I visited the Nashville area about 2 years ago prior to moving here. Now that I live here, my family visits at least twice per month. We also bring any friends or visiting family to experience what Puckett's hospitality is all about. The food is always fantastic and fairly priced. I've never yet experienced an "off" day with food. The service is almost always great, but there are occasions where it's hit or miss depending on the server and how busy the restaurant is. The manager, or at least one of them who usually works evenings, is fantastic. We met friends recently at the restaurant and he went well out of his way to ensure they and us were satisfied, seated in a timely manner, and attended to even though it was busier than normal. Overall, it's a fantastic place. whether it's your first time or just another visit, you're likely to have a great experience here at Puckett's. Come for the live music or trivia and you're sure to have an even better time.

Puckett’s had a very fun atmosphere and great service. The food was good, but not exceptional. I recommend trying their flight of local brews. The burger and fries was made well, but did not have anything to make them stand out from any other burger. Our server was fantastic and made some great suggestions for the beer flight, all from local breweries. The cherry cobbler with ice cream was tasty and warm. It had a cake like top, rather than a pie crust, which added an interesting sweetness and texture. Overall, a good restaurant, with good service, but mostly stood out for its atmosphere, local-flavor, and service than exceptional food.

After having visited the Nashville location in September I was extremely excited to go back with my family. This time, I went to Murfreesboro to avoid the hassle of downtown and I was so disappointed. We went at 4:00 on Saturday evening and the first order of business was to get a margarita. We were told they were out of an ingredient so I ordered a Miller Lite instead and my husband requested a PBR. Our waitress returned to tell us that they didn’t have either beer we wanted so we changed our drink order again. Appetizers were good but my entree’ was awful. I ordered the shrimp and grits not knowing that the dish would be very heavily seasoned with fennel, which I can not tolerate whatsoever. That’s really no ones fault, I just have a serious adversion to that particular seasoning and didn’t know it was part of the dish. So I kind of tried eating around the sauce but that wasn’t good either. The food wasn’t warm and the shrimp didn’t taste fresh. Being a southern native, the cold fried cornbread really took me by surprise. After eating at the downtown location, I had such great expectations. Everything I’d had at the downtown location was absolutely delicious, hot and FRESH. I’m not sure if the Murfreesboro store isn’t up to par or if maybe they were having an “off” night but, had that been my first experience at Puckett’s, it most certainly would have been my last. The others in my party were satisfied with their meals but no one was impressed. I have to say, the staff was very, very kind and personable. We were one of maybe three occupied tables so it wasn’t crazy busy. My first visit left such a phenomenal impression that I will probably visit again, just likely not to be the Murfreesboro store.

Came in for breakfast and the service wasn’t very good. The waiter was friendly, but left me with an empty coffee cup almost the entire time. The food was okay. I have pancakes with blueberries that tasted like they had been frozen for a few weeks. The atmosphere was very cute and unique though.

The mac and cheese is wonderful! We also had the fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese bites that were awesome. I didn't care for the meatloaf because it had a very BBQ flavor. Service was good. The restaurant is also filled with really cool antiques.

Came in early, about 5:00. Not too busy. We were seated promptly. Then we wait. I didn't think we were going to have a server. Finally she comes over, then the wait continues. Had to ask for refills on our drinks. Had to wait on the fried green tomatoes ,over cooked and pricey for 5 burnt slices. Dinner finally comes,its fair but nothing special. Proportions are small but your bill will be much bigger. Oh and wear a sweater it's cold in there. Most likely not to return to this location. Might give the one in Nashville a try,I heard it was good.

I ordered the Bubba's Benedict today for breakfast on Uber Eats. The meal was amazing and I remember giving this restaurant a good review. I must have forgotten that I liked their page on facebook and proceeded to ask Mike the manager if they had a page on there because I thought my review was already listed on Google.
