I'm extremely sad to say I've been banned from this store over 85 cents. On graduation weekend I grabbed a maple bar and was absently minded snacking on it as I shopped and I accidentally walked out of the store without paying for it. Thankfully a manager saw me and tracked me down asking if I paid for it. I replied I hadn't and apologized, went in and paid for it. Figured that would be the end of it. NOPE! Sometime last week (I believe Thursday the 23rd) I went to go to the credit union and a cashier flagged me down and informed me I was no longer allowed in the store. I asked why. She said it was because of the doughnut incident. I asked to speak with the store manager. He came up to me and confirmed the situation. All he would say about it is "We just can't have that stuff." I asked for the corporate headquarters number. I sadly haven't even heard back from corporate The most aggravating part of this situation is that I wasn't informed at the time of the doughnut incident that I was no longer welcome. The WORST part I asked for written proof of permission to go through the store to my bank, and the manager refused. How am I to prove to cops that I have permission to go through there to my financial institution, should they just decide to call the cops for me being there? I did talk to the bank and they said Dakotamart can't prevent me from banking there but I feel very uneasy and unsafe there now. I've been a frequent customer since I moved here 5 years ago, choosing to go here over Walmart whenever I can, despite their lower quality yet higher prices. I was hoping to at least hear back from corporate and avoid negative reviews, but it's been over a week and nothing. Well, I guess Korner Grocery and Walmart get all my business from now on!

I realize it's the only semi-real grocery store in town, but that shouldn't mean the service can be exceptionally rude. I've lived and traveled around the globe and this was some of the worst. (And to the cashier: I'm indigenous, not a "foreigner" so you can actually speak to me at a normal pace).

Very overpriced. This store takes advantage of people who have no way to travel to Rapid City and shop. The produce is very poor quality. I have found moldy fruits sitting out for sale so many times I have lost count. Things are double the price of any store in Rapid City. Lynn's should be ashamed to rip off the local people like that. People here don't have much money.

It's slightly over priced but they have to compete with Walmart somehow. If you like the touch of the town, it's a good place to buy groceries. The downstairs sporting goods is a good place to get a fishing license. They are very nice and helpful. Very clean store and fun elevator. One cashier will tell you a joke as you check out.

I was amazed at how good this store was in a small town. Tons of employees and a wide variety of items. Great beer selection, decent wine selection as well. They even had cauliflower crust pizza. That is hard to find in the green grocery stores of big cities. Just all around great store in a tourist town. You can shop like at home or splurge since you are on vacation. They even had a water machine to refill you water bottles. A bit confusing layout to a first timer, but like I mentioned, there are a ton of employees...or just enjoy yourself and explore

I pass through Custer almost every year when I'm visiting the Black Hills. I'll stop here to get some fried chicken and excellent mashed potatoes for a quick and easy lunch sitting next to Stockade Lake. They've got all the essentials at decent prices. Usually quick to get into and out of.

There isn't much for groceries in Custer, but this is not a great grocery store. They're the only item, they should try a little harder. The produce is either too ripe and almost rotted or not even close to being ready to eat. The prices are really high and their staff was just ok. Try to get groceries here as little as possible

Limited selections, exorbitant pricing and most items with an expiration date are always at the end of their life. The hamburger is always gross; looks good on the outside and when you cut into the raw meat it's brown/gray and has an odor. I've lived in Custer for 4 months and have mentioned this to the staff 3 times now that the hamburger quality is gargabe and they still keep pumping it out. I took back the most recent package back to show them along with photos. This is from their website: "Lynn's Dakotamart grocery stores sell only USDA Choice 100% American Beef. As second generation grocers we know and understand beef quality. Our beef is not pumped with solutions, or pre-packaged thousands of miles away from our stores, instead Dakotamart Pride Beef is handled with care by our local meat specialists!!"

They have expanded the store, which is good. There is lots of camping around, so people do keep the store fairly busy during summer.

This place is awesome if you're an outdoor person. It has an excellent fishing department. You can get live and frozen bait, lures, terminal tackle and any sort of accessories you can imagine. It has a huge selection of guns, ammo and lots of camping stuff. And, don't even get me started on the selection of rods and reels.

Over priced average or below average products, sad selection on ice cream. Cheese is Italian or cheddar, culture is lacking quality is lacking and price is nearly twice as much as walmart. Kombucha from GT Daves were 8$ when Dakota mart first put them on the shelves, this store has been taking advantage of this community for years. Pepsi 12 packs are more than twice the price of walmart.

This is a nice grocery store in Custer. Before coming to the area for vacation, it was suggested that I stop in Casper, WY for groceries to bring. While that's what I did, I still wanted to see what Lynn's carried. For the most part, the prices are reasonable when comparing to a large chain such as Albertsons. They do have sales for many items and those prices are great! Unless you're looking for an uncommon fruit or vegetable, forget about schlepping food a couple of hundred miles or so because it's just not necessary. The service at Lynn's s great. The selection of products is good. The prices are good. Plus, there is ample parking in their lot.

Nice enough store with all the essentials. Not very big, so selection is limited. It tends to be very crowded (here in July) and prices are generally pretty high. Then again, it has no competition in Custer. If you can drive a few extra miles to Hill City, Krull's Market is cheaper.

Quite impressive for such a small area to have a nice grocery store. Not what you will find in in a larger city, but vastly better selection than a convenience store and better pricing too. Also a big thank you to the owner for making sure the supercharger was able to be installed behind the building.

Terrible produce. Twice I've purchased lettuce here and twice the lettuce began to rot we itin two days. Add 25-30% over your normal grocery bill. This place has a captive audience and they know our. Liquor in their liquor section is ridiculously priced. $29 for a 750 ml bottle of Jack Daniels. Shop before you arrive in Custer unless of course you are wealthy

Sale items are typically cheaper than Wal-Mart but everything else is more expensive. Meat and produce sections are solid and better than Wal-Mart from a freshness and quality perspective but typically expensive. Most of the staff are warm and thoughtful except for Emily. She might have thought it was ok to be rude to a customer but really it's not ok. Maybe she should think about other career plans.
