Elias is getting better since December 2017. there was a time that the quality was so unstable but we stopped shopping there. recently i was one block away and decided to give them another try. i was pleasantly surprised. good job. we are happy to have a reliable neighborhood market around!!!

OK this review is for those big city transplants like me. If you were one of those folks who had a place back home where you could find Bulgarian feta, oil cured olives, and the giant pitas which made those items, and many more, part of your pantry then this is that place. Sure you can get the same olives at 9.99/lb, or more, at your regular grocery but you want the place that caters to the people who eat it by the pound a week so they sell it at 3.49/lb. And yeah you can get the little pocket pitas at the grocery but none of them let you wrap three falafel, pickles, some of that feta, and olive oil and call that lunch. Plus this is the only place I have found in the valley that sells goat. And not just one cut but about 4-5 cuts. So yes you should check this place out so you can bring those items back into your life.

There is an extensive varity of produce, quality compares to that of wegmans. Prices as good as Aldi's or better. Deli, meat counter, grocery section and in the summer an out door floral section. Plenty of registers. Handicap parking. I enjoy trying some of the varieties of produce. This used to be Elias. Name change, same maybe even a little better. If my review was helpful please hit like.

Never the friendliest people there, but their produce is good and varied at a reasonable price. Remember if you buy their fresh berries, eat them quickly (1 or 2 days) or they'll go bad.

I really enjoy this store. The produce is nice and reasonably priced. "Normal" grocery items can sometimes be a bit pricey but I mainly come for the hard to find ethnic grocery items which are priced well. I stopped by for some plants today and they looked great, a good selection of flowers and vegetables for planting. The workers I encountered were helpful and courteous. Parking can be a bit stressful on the weekends since it is usually crowded... I like to go during the week when it isn't as crazy.

I've heard from several friends of mine told me that that Elias Market had some good prices. I was content with my normal options and paid no mind to their opinions. My friends certainly were incorrect, they have AMAZING prices! I especially love the selection of fruits and vegetables, much better than the other other markets I've been using. To top it off, they have a wide selection of halal and Mediterranean products which I love! My family will enjoy this market!

The honey crisp apples were all badly bruised. Not an uncommon occurrence with produce here. Blueberries and other produce also many times overripe.

It's okay, it is a hit or miss with fruits or vegetables. I only buy small quantity because it only lasts a couple of days. The other products are good. For the price it's sometimes worth it.

Great place to buy fruit, veg, and Halal food products. Their prices are great to begin with but I love to scope out their clearance bin, next to the meat counter. I always snag a $1 bag of really, ripe bananas for banana bread and pancakes, and a $1 bag of eggplant to fry. So much food from $2 spent!

Tons of produce options and ethnic foods. The deli is incredible, but the aisles are kinda small. Use a basket instead of a cart otherwise it's a tight squeeze

Very good, there is alot of variety. I like their pickles alot! They have a wide variety of produce. They have a good selection of meat in the deli as well... I like their grape leaves they are the best. They have a good selection of olives and olive oil too. If you want to make dinner this place has all the ingredients you need to make a good meal.they have good quality stuff and they also have that pita bread and a good selection too! This is very good place if you like Mediterranean food !

Love this place better then the Allentown 1. We live in Coplay although Allentown is a lot closer we prefer Bethlehem because its a larger place and that there is always plenty of parking.

Azar is a great market for produce, spices, and all sorts of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern ingredients and foods. They have a good fresh meat selection (including halal). Plenty of fresh regional pita choices. Great place to purchase freshly finely ground coffee with your choice of cardamom for use in making Turkish style coffee. Wonderful olives, cheeses and cured meats as well and candy/sweets from several other countries.They have extensively remodeled and made it much easier to park and get around the store. Hood place to go for seasonal items like Easter flowers, Christmas greens, pumpkins and fall decor, etc. Good prices and helpful staff.

I do like coming here very much. The produce is fresh for the most part, prices are great, flowers are beautiful, if you get there early enough you'll get the Egypt bread which is the greatest & most of the staff are friendly. However! For some reason the deli staff are really upset people, who even if they're happy seem to be really angry all the time & really don't like you telling them how you want your cold cuts cut. As if you must have it the way they want you to have it & when you kindly refuse the cut (because it's not how YOU want it) they start speaking their language to each other in an aggressive way, as if they're cursing you, it really makes you feel uncomfortable & embarrassed

Azar supermarket provides middle eastern groceries, and halal meat, including chicken, beef, lam, and goat, and sometimes turkey too. There are plenty of flat breads, and Arabian breads, lots of Turkey made cookies, chocolate, sauces, cheeses, etc. In addition there are regular vegetables and fruits, and special vegetables for middle eastern and also Hispanics. You can find even sour orange there!

Not a bad place to pick up your produce for a reasonable price. My experience with Elias has been really hit and miss. Most of the produce is perfectly fine and there is even a handful of items that other places do not carry. With that being said you can also find items that are bruised, overly ripe, or unsatisfactory in some other manner. They had strawberries once BYGO at a discounted price which would have been a good deal until I had a closer look and saw that they were starting to grow fuzz. Please don't get me wrong, I buy LOTS of produce here and the majority is perfectly fine, I just happen to find more items here that are not fine than I would expect or like to and most certainly more than other places. They have a small and limited selection of other products such as coffee, canned goods, etc. that I feel are generally overpriced. The staff has always been courteous and helpful. The store itself is clean and orderly and there is plenty of parking. They are easy to find in a convenient location on Linden St. in Bethlehem. They are not my first pick for produce but not for any negative reasons. I would not have a problem recommending them and you should certainly stop in and see for yourself.

Clean store, butchers counter and some house goods as well. Small refrigerated section too!! Ive been coming here for years, and the people and quality of foods are always top notch!! This is a very interesring store with hard to find foods, seasonings, sweets, and utensils from many lands. Their prices on fresh produce are often VERY reasonable and the selection is wide. They carry the usual fruits and vegetables, but also exotic ones with a number of rarely found tropical fruits.

Nice market with a great variety of fruit and vegetables especially ethnic and hard to find roots and vegetables. A very nice selection of tomatoes if you are in to different flavors. Prices are great if you know how to pick through. Decent selection of cold cuts but the real gem is their line of nuts and dry fruit at a fraction of the supermarket prices. Middle Eastern and Greek cheeses, coffees, pita breads and cookies. Friendly personnel and atmosphere. If you are in the Lehigh Valley area this place should be on your weekly list.
