Nice place!
Helpful staff answering questions about picking fruit. Lots of variety of produce. Been going there for years for u pick berties, really fun time!!
Busy, busy, busy. Pumpkin patch, hayrides, beer tasting. Looked like everyone was having fun.
Good place for fresh local produce. They have a bar and food carts during weekends. Occasional music concerts in the evening.
Cheap price Fresh fruit
Fun place. Just get there early
Customer service could use some work.
Always a treat to see local growers
Nice place. Fresh produce.
Such a waste of money, the haunted maze was soooooo boring. It was one straight path, pretty sure they over sold the tickets, we gotta lined up for 45 mins to get in for a 5 mins walk in the park. The corn was like 3ft tall, the 6 scarers didn’t even try to scared us... highly do not recommended. Will not come back.
Had a blast picking berries despite being near the end of the season. Great prices for fresh produce. Well worth the short drive over from downtown portland.
Don't bother going to pick strawberries unless you're there June 1st cuz they're trigger-happy with the tills. When I asked if they were all gone the guy w/ Australian accent said "a while ago" as if we are all farmers. Strawberry season is June, I'm aware, but I guess the month ends early out here. They have raspberries, raspberries, and more raspberries with a side of marionberries. The barren blueberry bushes sit next to several bee boxes so have fun with that. And don't bother reading their sad excuse for a map at the door.
So fun!....great beer, pizza, Pumpkin field was great!...my dogs loved it!...
Just ok. No anjmals. Go to The Patch for better pumpkin outing.
My wife and I have been going here for pumpkins and berry picking for several years and love it. Always fresh and friendly service! Thank you, Kruger!
Love this place we visit every october.
worth the long drive. amazing produce and food, though it gets extremely busy around october.
Great u-pick all around, but one of the better raspberry selections on the island
Love the summer concerts here, and the roasted corn the cob it's freaking awesome!
Best haunted and not haunted maze of the island
The farm itself has a good selection to chose from in terms of fruits and veggies. I usually just go there to enjoy a brew and hot dog outside and love that my dog can join. They have been known to run out of cider which is a bummer, but other than that, the place is pretty sweet for a nice time out.
Great place for veggies. We came for the tomatoes. Last ones we got here a week ago were so great, we're back for more. Green onions, too. Last week it was pumpkins that lured us here. It's one of two large veggie and fruit places on the Island. We've done both. The other one is super busy right now with it being pumpkin days with mazes at both, we know Kruger's will be crowded on weekend. The sunshine got us out and we are glad we went. Reasonable prices and tasty food, what else would you want. They may have it. For sure they have loads of these hand woven baskets that are perfect for your chores. I have two that still look new after 10 years of laundry basket duty. Mine holds the exact amount of clothing that fits in my small stacking washer. I bought them here.
Great spot to stop by and pick up some local honey and jams! The produce also looked very fresh. We picked up some jam and bee pollen.
There is enough to do here to make a day out of the visit for our family of 4. The grilled sausages, corn on the cob and Captured By Porches beer on tap can be enjoyed at any of the ample outdoor seating with views of the farm. The market is lively and offers lots of variety of homemade goods and farm produce. Our kids love visiting the giant pig Matilda as well as the chicken coop. There's also a big tree a short walk away that kids can climb all over.
Farm to Table dinner was an experience I would recommend to anyone! Sitting in the shade of a 200 year old oak tree, having a fantastic chef work his magic with food right off the farm or locally sourced, enjoying a concert after the sun goes down or just sitting by the fire. This isn't just a dinner, this is an experience!
Wow you can get just about anything here.... They even had bananas!... Got me some really cute little pumpkins!... Parking is free.... They have a corn maze... A hay ride out to get pumpkins if you want to pick your own....and bathrooms.
Okay so me and my Family went there for the haunted corn maze. Turns out it’s not a maze it was more like a path the corn was like 4 feet tall. It was also very disorganized did not have a great line. When standing in line and hanging out there was a band and it was terrible I get it was supposed to go with the theme of Halloween but it was a disaster the singing was terrible the recorder lady she was terrible it sound like nails on a chalkboard the singing was unpleasant it sounded like somebody didn’t open there mouth all the way. But in the produce house there was a GREAT Johnny Cash cover band there where the best part of the trip. Also there Carmel apples are good. But overall it was a 2 star
Great day...picking delicious berries
out the year. Also beer available from Captured By Porches from June until the end of the season.
Come see the haunted mazes this weekend at Kruger farms
In the past, this has been our go to pumpkin patch - hay ride to and from the patch, great corn maze, good food, not as crowded as some others. This year, we saw several cars get stuck in the muddy parking lot, one of the fields is no longer pumpkins, the corn maze was short in height; the one redeeming quality was the market, which is always good. We will give them another shot next year, in case this was just an off year, but we're disappointed this year.
Had so much fun doing the corn maze, my kid even found 8 frogs and baby pumpkins and baby gourds. The price is really reasonable, and they even have helicopter rides. They have a market with great prices, nothing like fresh picked produce!
Great Thursday concerts.
My entire family and I had such a wonderful time here today! We enjoyed all the fresh produce options in the market and the pickings for pumpkins are wonderful. We purchased the Pumpkin Package and could not have been more happy with what we got. That corn is delicious freshly roasted with all sorts of different toppings to choose from. Thanks for the fun day, we will absolutely be back!
Been here multiple times. love it!
Great prices. Great quality produce. Family farm. What's not to love?
It's not what it once was... I sat on hold for 20 minutes waiting to find out about beans, then a week later when I went the selection was minimum and the prices were high and I bothof the employees were grumpy.
Great food, the roasted corn was especially delicious. The hayride and pumpkin patch was very nicely done. The corn maze is decent, but is very simple and easy to get through. They don't have a scavenger hunt card to stamp or punch, though there are sporadically placed themed maps with numbers. It was a decent maze for small children.
Fun place at Halloween!
The hunted corn maze was fun, but not very for scary for me. (Was scary for my friends) The teen staff were very nice and helpful, but the adults were not as much. One of the staff gave my 2$ change instead of 4$. But over all it was fun!
Great U-pick fruit with no spray. Friendly staff. Bring a wagon if you have kids. There's a bit of walking.
Always fun and quality at Kruger's
The fruit and produce here are top quality. Loved the stone fruit we got here....
Wonderful low stress place for a party! Highly recommend!
It may have been a bit odd to have a hemp field in the middle of the pumpkin patch, but we had a ton of fun and the food was awesome.
Enjoyed the flowers here! Nice garden and store.
This place offers a variety of freshly grown crops from their farm. I love coming here and buying my fruits and vegetables. In the fall I had a fun experience picking out pumpkins. Along with getting a thrill walking through the corn maze with friends. There's also an area to enjoy locally made desserts and live music. Try the apple pie. Definitely check this farm out when visiting Sauvie Island.
Drive a bus load of kids here.. they absolutely had a great time
The kids had so much fun here, when can we move in?
Staff were very helpful, pleasant shopping experience, very good produce.
Nice selection, good prices. Less selection this year than I am used to seeing.
Busy as to be expected 10 days from Halloween and fully stocked their selection of pumpkins was great, maybe we should of came earlier in the month cause we didn't see their giant sunflower heads which can be a foot a cross. Oh and the choice of food was great.
Beautiful setting. Excellent customer service.
Nice place. A little pricey but no question of qualty either.
Was great frendly people
Pick Your Own! Or buy the fresh picked stuff they've already harvested if your'e in a hurry. I love all the random strange things they sell in their farm store as well. Pickled garlic? Yum!
Friendly staff quick ck out had lots of fruit veriety of apples & pears !
Always fresh produce, local honey. Open EVERYDAY
Yummy hotdogs from phils bbq, corn on the cob with choice of seasonings, the summer concerts and of course the holloween corn maze..
25 pounds of bad peaches is still 25 pounds of bad peaches no matter how good a deal you get. I have bought good produce from Kruger's before but I think they knew these peaches were picked too soon and sat too long in a warehouse. I checked the box the peaches came in and it says they're from Reedley, CA. So much for local, "fresh" produce. I've spent hundreds of dollars over the years at Kruger's but I won't be back.
Open space hood for kids and fresh
Its sad how there are barely any places left to go visit with your family. I've always loved coming here with my entire family to walk, watch and see the animals, and, eat the fresh fruits. Last time I visited this place I remember walking my children, and then I noticed a place that had plants inside. I was curious so I took a look and I saw marijuana plants. LITTERAL MARIJUANA PLANTS. This is NOT OK. I can't believe how a family farm has marijuana plants, and worst of all children can see them! Our children are going to start thinking and growing with idea that smoking is totally normal and fine, when in reality it's not. Im very disappointed. I DON'T CARE IF WEATHER YOU THINK SMOKING IS GOOD OR BAD. THE MESSAGE IS THAT HAVING MARIJUANA DISPLAYED SOMEWHERE WERE EVERYONE ELSE CAN SEE IT, IS NOT OK. YOU ARE TEACHING OUR KIDS THAT SMOKING IS TOTALLY NORMAL AND THAT EVERYONE DOES IT, SO THEY SHOULD TOO.
The farm is very old and good having all kinds of fruit orchards. The place is attracting big crowd during weekend for fruit plucking . Having the packages to celebrate birthday and partying in the farms. Having one small cafe serving pizza and some snacks. They are selling varieties of fruits, vegetables honey; Handicrafts and organic grown mushrooms.
The best place to stop for lunch after picking produce. They have good beer and BBQ.
The best place to get yo pumpkin
A must visit when on Sauvie Island. Great produce grown on the island, pigs and chickens for the kids to look at and some artisan products. Also a fantastic venue for a large party if you are looking for something outdoors!
Best pumpkin patch ever. If you want good sized pumpkins that look great and are reasonably priced, go here!
Great service.. Friendly. Great products...
Fun, laid back atmosphere. Farm fresh produce and prepared food all year, not just pumpkins
This is one of my happy places.
Fun place! Nice corn maze experience!
family fun and great food!
It's big. Strawberries are so sweet and yummy. Other berries also available here. This market has fruits, veggies, honey and food available in case you tired after picking berries.
Beautiful produce shopping days Amazing night parties DONT MISS
Usually a good selection, roasted corn is excellent and a very pleasant, helpful staff
It is a very nice place. They have a lot of products from local farms and very good prices. We ate corn with cheese, so delicious. We enjoyed our time. We will go there again.
Kids love this place
An amazing place to get fresh fruit, vegetables, and berries. This farm & market is conveniently placed along the water.
I just called to find out information about the maze, and was basically hung up on twice because they were "busy". She wouldn't even let me speak. She was very snarky, rude, talked loudly over me the whole second call. I would like to inform the management, that you are busy because people like me show an interest in your maze. I've worked retail for over 30 years, and understand good customer service. I am completely unimpressed, and haven't been treated this way by an establishment for a along time. So if you are looking for a customer service, this is not the place. Hopefully their maze outshines their service.
Stay away! Don Kruger is a liar and a thief!!!
Great for what its worth.
Great dining experience. Food was divine. Everything was grown or raised at the farm. Family style dining, which introduced you to other couples. Wonderful!
Great place to pick berries. The owner is very friendly.
Pumpkins and caramel apples
Great berry farm
Great people, excellent produce selection. My girlfriend and I had a good time.
This place is probably alright on a normal day but during corn maze time.... It's a mess. Considering how wet it normally gets in Oregon, they are seriously not prepared. Had a few near death experiences in the haunted maze, not because of fear but by nearly slipping in all the mud! They put hay down in about 3/4 of the maze (not enough!!) but that's about it. The parking lot reminds me a lot of going mudding back in rural Vermont. And their response to people getting stuck is very lackluster. Overall, the maze was okay but definitely not worth the hassle.
Fun!
Always great
Fun place, not as crowded as other pumpkin patches.
Not a great selection, my kids got stung by ground wasps. I was looking forward to the trip too. Maybe next year...
Really awesome! Cool people and fun place
Pigs and chickens fun to view, photo ops on junked tractor. Great outdoor seating to eat our fruit and berries.
It's really fun to go here for summer concerts
The best roasted corn for eloteyas
Love the fresh produce, baskets, and live events!
Marion, blue and raspberry explosion in my brain! Excellent produce summer selection. Pick your own and eat them until you cry because they are so fresh.
It's not huge but what they have is fresh and the prices are great.
We have gone 3 years in a row and this year (2019) was by far the worst year. Their corn maze is awful, its about 4 and a half feet tall and completely trampled, The pumpkins are sparce, under ripe, and smashed so was hard to find ones we actually liked, there was hardly any flowers. We were super disappointed. They also have a ton of weed plants in their crops which I am all for but it seems to us like they put their money and energy there rather than the pumpkin patch. I still enjoyed my time but we only stayed about an hour and it's an hour drive from home so we usually try and spend a half day but it just was not the same. I felt a bit tricked buying my tickets online to get there and the best part (the maze) was completely not even a maze basically. Don't pre-pay for tickets this year because the maze is a waste of money. You can see all they way through standing outside. Bummer!
Might have just been the rain but this is the 4th yr going to Kruger and no horse rides far paints ect... just pumpkin rides and food. Both good as before but looked forward to the extra thing's. And did not see any "hemp" in the store!
Love the u-cut zinnias!
Don't pick strawberries here. The plants have not been properly so they are tiny, producing very little fruit, and what was there has already been picked through. What is left is small unripe fruit. Yet it is still more expensive than the farm down the road. Just keep driving.
Great pumpkin patch and corn maze in the fall. I've never been any other time of the year.
Great prices
Kruger's is a yearly Tradition. Groovy live music yesterday & good beer.....oh yeah, and Pumkins!
We went to the haunted maze and it was ok but it was also short and pretty uneventful. There also should be rules for no cell phones and flashlight's because it ruined some of the experience.
Wonderful fruit. Nice place.
If I could give a zero I would. My family and I visited Kruger Farms tonight specifically for the haunted maze. The haunted maze was a disappointment for the price we paid to get into it. To get to the corn maze you are walking on an unlit muddy path, you're asking for an injury if not tiptoeing. The most surprising part was the parking, prior to entering they should caution you need an off road vehicle to navigate the parking lot due to the mud bogs. Several cars were stuck and I made a point of telling the two female employees who were taking money for the corn maze and they were rather cavalier about the situation stating "we opened parking up here," referring to a small paved area. The dirt parking (mud bogs) is unlit and its difficult to see what your driving into. This area should be shut or large warning signs not to enter unless you have a four wheel drive vehicle or to enter at your own risk. I've seen the response from the owners that we live in Oregon where it rains, however when people go to take their children to have fun the last thing they want is to have to dig their car out of mud. My suggestion with the outrageous prices charged for EVERYTHING at least pave your parking lot and provide proper lighting to prevent injuries. Needless to say I would not recommend this business.
Great source of produce and jarred goods. Fun family picking!
The best prices for fruit and vegetables. Wounderful food and family fun.
Farmer Don shared wisdom and wine in a true blue fashion of kinship. Thank you for sweetening the farm dinner with your sparkle!
A cool spot on the way to the beach to pick up some fresh berries and fruit!
No direction. Very dirty. Staff not coordinated. 20 of us got left out in there field by tractor ride for so long i eventually called there front desk. Corn was good though.
Good Farm, we enjoyed it there, picking your fruits and veggies fresh from the ground is a very soothing experience. Although we reached almost at the closing time but the attendant was very nice to us and did not rush us. Best part is that it's open even on Sundays! Berry fruits season is gone by now (Sept. month), good vegetable selection e.g. eggplants, corn, jalapenos and other 7-8 other kind of peppers, tomatoes, beans, pumpkins and a lot more .... Planning to visit this farm ever other weekend.
We've gone here two years in row now, and this year we went way too close to Halloween. The pumpkin patch was full of mushy and rotting pumpkins and it wasn't realistic to find our own in the patch. Thankfully there were enough good pumpkins at the farm store area to choose from. Super fun fall atmosphere but this year's pumpkins were disappointing.
My favorite farm on Sauvie's Island.
The owner is great! He really cares about his produce and his customers. The food here is fresh and delish!
Terrible experience at the haunted maze. 60 bucks for 4 people to go through the haunted maze only to have the actors half ass their performance, leaving the only frightening thing as the price of admission. I certainly won't be back.
My favorite place for fall fun! Love the beer cart!
Pumpkin package is bait-and-switch. It must be purchased in advance, and can't be purchased at the farm. This isn't noted on their website. Upon them refusing to honor the pumpkin package, we found there isn't a strong enough signal at the farm to still purchase online with our phone, so we ended up paying full price. We have been coming for years to the farm for regular food and for the pumpkin farm, but we won't be back now that we were taken advantage of.
Our family has such fun here. Bellies full of grilled corn & caramel apples. Stocked up on local produce and pumpkins from the fields.
I want a refund for the"haunted corn maze". Here are some reasons why: 1. The corn was maybe 3 feet tall 2. We waited in line more time than we spent inside of the maze 3. The corn is brown and dead 4. It took us five minutes to get through the ENTIRE maze 5. Lackluster decorations 6. Terrible music. Someone. Destroy. The. Band's. Harmonica. (My ears were bleeding) 7. Wasn't scary at all 8. Only five people working inside I want my $15 back.
Fantastic summer concert series and good produce. Plus, the Cyclocross racing is the best
Great Farm to Table dinner experience! 10 out of 10! Perfect service... Awesome atmosphere... Couldn't ask for more!
Great honey and produce! Good prices. Friendly staff.
Nice place! Friendly people, fresh berries, beautiful nature around.
Over crowded and disorganized.
Fun and beautiful place to go u-picking.
This is the first place I recommend newbies go when they arrive on Sauvie. A big farm store and in the fall, a fairly large corn maze, which people have hilariously had to be rescued out of some years, as they got lost. I personally completed on year's maze in about 20 minutes as a kid, then had to backtrack to locate my dad haha. It's simple, but one hell of a blast. Also the store features a variety of honey stick locally sourced that are to die for. I personally recommend the clover and blackberry honey sticks!
Went for the corn maze and had some fresh cider. Good times were had
Fresh produce and honey and jams.
The fruit and vegetables sold in the store are almost all imported - and not organic. Seems like a wasted opportunity.
Fun u-pick experience for the whole family!
I am quite fond of his quaint, lovely farm. They have beautiful flowers, luscious pumpkins, and delicious, fresh produce. I used to prefer non-organic produce, but this place does it right; they've convinced me. I will coming back each fall (and counting down the days in between!). My only complaint is the corn maze is too easy.
Nice place to hang out to get produce.
Great adventure
We chose Kruger's haunted maze due to the great reviews prior years, it was a total disappointment. Pulling in, it was incredibly dark. There are zero staff directing you where to park and cars parked randomly everywhere. We got stuck in the mud at one point. There's no signs directing you where to buy tickets or redeem Groupons. Zero signs directing you to the "store" or "grill". Pretty much no seating in this area to hang out. The girls handing out wristbands were short with us, seemed like they could care less. The regular corn maze was super lame, my teenagers and I equally unimpressed. The muddy path to get down to the haunted maze was unlit and uneven. There was nothing scary, no monsters, nothing looming on the way to the maze as advertised on their website. Their haunted maze was obviously one way, not multiple ways to get lost. The corn was shorter than all of us. And took about 5ish minutes to get through. There were elementary grade kids outside the maze saying they weren't scared at all, I don't blame them. It was pretty lame. We did Bella's last year and it was way better, but we like to try different things. We won't be going back here.
Good selection, but can definitely get busy on the weekends. Aim for early if you want to beat the crowd.
The roasted
This was the place of the#sscxwcxpdx 2016 and it was amazing. It accommodated an enormous amount of people and was a beautiful race.
The Halloween Groupon is great. Such a fun corn maze, Carmel apples, pumpkin patch and of course the corn maze.
They have great produce here
Love this farmstand
I spent 1 hour of my time picking berries to discover that it’s nearly the same price to by them pre picked. Last year it was less than half the cost. This place is a rip off. After coming here for over a decade I’m not coming back. Rip offfffffffff!
Welcome to the farm that sells good produce
The market is right net to the farm--can't get much more farm fresh! The staff are friendly and the produce is well priced.
Love Krugers! Great produce and more.
There was no light going from the shops to the haunted maze I had to use the flash on my phone just be be able to walk. The haunted maze which we were told takes 20-30 min was boring and not at all scary, and takes only about 5 min. You couldn't see where you are walking unless you use a flash light ( hunted houses/mazes are suppose to be dimly lit to add to the scary affect) but this was not safe since the ground was uneven and muddy. the parking lot was also very poorly lit and Cars were getting stuck in the mud. over all the experience was less than disappointing and a wast of money.
Maybe because I am from SoCal, it was disappointing in terms of rides, attractions, and kid friendly play. But, the experience of walking out in a field and discovering/hauling our own pumpkin is something I havent done before so that was cool. For what it was intended to be, it was great. I was just expecting more of a carnival/festival type of establishment because of all the hype. Would return when my son is older as it is not stroller friendly at all.
Wonderful berries!
Fresh fresh and fresh fruits and vegetables.
Kruger's is a continual delight.
I've been visiting the u-pick fields here for 16 years and it's a highlight of my summers. It's a beautiful farm with a nice staff. Love it here!
this is my second year going here and I will not return or recommend. I would not eat anything from this place. I walked up to the caramel apple station and the guy is playing on his phone for like 2 minutes ignoring us then finally talks to us. but he was cutting up produce and touching everything without washing his hands and keeps going back to his phone!... it's gets better. we are sitting outside and the lady working the coffee stand is sitting there smoking playing on her phone unprofessional in my opinion but she's barefoot and PICKING THE SKIN on the bottom of her feet!!! some poor person walks up to get a drink and she starts making it without ever washing her hands. this place is nasty.
Excellent place for fresh produce. Great prices.
We just did the haunted maze! And the food! So much fun!!!
Perfect for the fall harvest!
An autumn experience for big and little kids. Ride a tractor to the pumpkin patch and grab your own. Get lost in the corn maze. Fill your face with camel apples and hot dogs. Don't forget the pony ride. Then stop in the market for apples, cider and pumpkin pie before heading home. A good day for all in the family.
