I love coming to this store. The chefs in the kitchen have it DOWN. I'm always interested in what they do with kale or beets and the cashew curry chicken is insane. Be picky with the produce for the freshest, but good finds overall. Sweet people, nice books and fun novelties.
Good shopping for local organic produce as well as an excellent deli, large variety of various health food items as well as an excellent coffee selection. Makes sandwiches to order as well as soups and salads.
Deli is amazing
I haven't even been to the store yet! But we are new to Eugene (moved here on Tuesday) and being a single mom, with a sick little girl, I couldn't go shopping for her Easter basket. Megan at Kiva was absolutely wonderful! I told her how …
Best place for groceries downtown.
Great fresh ingredients friendly staff
Great store with awesome deli and good vibe
hard to get organic Heavy Whipping Cream...
What's not to love? Awesome selection, amazing deli, and all staffed by the most a wonderful group of people who make me smile every time I go in.
Love the variety at the deli counter.
Their deli is amazing, their aisles are not. Work on prices and goods for working class people.
Always quality experience, and usually a quick service..
Good sandwich deli! Awesome selection of produce and great customer service.
My favorite place for produce because it's all organic and has great variety. Vitamins are good deli awesome and great employees.
Carry lots of foods / items that can't be found at most stores. The prices are what one would expect at a store carrying specialty organic foods. Has a bulk section and fresh produce section as well.
Great versitle selection of products offered, local, monthly bulk sales, deli: always fresh, delicious sandwiches, sides, desserts.
Amazing. Big selection of beer and wine, bulk foods, health foods and oils. Aaaand their cafe dishes great quick eats. Did i mention they make their own cheese? Wonderful spot
Unique grocery store. Excellent service and food. The deli is pretty amazing. Get a sandwich built for yourself and thank me later.
Local, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Healthy choices
I LOVE the way they do a salad!!! This place is great, has everything and more plus I actually got some great deals which almost never happens at this type of store!!
Best Natural Food store in Eugene
I don't think I've ever bought anything from this place but I like the dude on the sign.
Good selections
Great little natural grocery store! They make the absolute best sandwiches in their deli! Vegan/vegetarian options plenty!
Awesome local market; especially for its size! Great cheese selection, too.
The. Owner wont wash hus hands after using the restroom. He is also kniwnknown to assault transients.
My favorite store! Its a go to when I'm in eugene. The sandwiches are always so fresh and almost to pretty to eat! People are always friendly and helpful!
Love the deli here.
Amazing variety for a relatively small space. Well stocked and well curated. Best cheese selection I've come across in Eugene. And the deli sandwiches are premium quality at a reasonable price. Nice assortment of loose leaf teas and bulk spices. Classic Eugene vibes, highly recommended
The Kiva is fun and groovy. They have wonderful deli foods, great health foods and alternative items, and a cool collection of books and puzzles beyond the normal fare. Nice place.
Like the stuff they have price is a little high
Somewhat pricey but the food is great.
Nice please excellent sandwiches
I love this place. Organic, new age, earth-loving goodness. Need a deodorant without aluminium and toxic chemicals? Or how about essential oils and lovely incense like Nag-Champa? They have a great selection of ethnic foods and fair trade coffee. Also fun stuff like books and henna. Every time I go I find something new, like natural sunblock with a decent spr. I could go on. A cool place full of cool people.
This is the only place in Eugene I could find reusable cloth pads, and they were even made locally. Also picked up some delicious Thai chicken noodle from the deli that's worth mentioning.
Super amazing, found powder for my kitten when she had worms. Cleared up great
Love the deli and garlic kale rolls
I have been a regular at the Kiva for over 20 years. It says alot about an establishment whose workers stay with them for years and some for decades. If you have a question they will gladly answer it, and if they cannot, they will find …
Produce there is really fresh with other healthy food
Great staff
A great neighborhood grocery store with all the local, healthy fare. I was surprised with how competitive the prices were. When you shop for organic products you usually expect to pay an arm and a leg, but the kiva managed to offer a more then fare price. I was also suprised with the variety of products they had, I was able to check a few extra things off my list, that I thought I would have to do some extra shopping for. I would highly suggest stopping in and seeing what they have before you go running around town, they just might surprise you.
Plusses: emphasis on fresh and local in the produce and meat sections, great selection of local pastries, cheeses from everywhere, and a huge variety of natural products for such a small space. Minuses: priced like a local natural grocery (meaning spendy), local produce means the selection's scant in the winter months, deli could have a bit more variety. Overall: Awesome place to pick up a few things downtown, have absolutely relied on it for a meal per day when finding myself with a moment between activities at the bus station, not a place I could rely on for weekly shopping. Love the Kiva for what it is.
I would give them a higher review just for their products but I have had to deal with some of the rudest people here. From bitter attitudes to being accused of stealing and "taking too long while looking at their perfumes". The experiences have left me going to different stores.
I'm always amazed by the beautiful produce here. The prices are super reasonable, the quality of the products are high-end. The sandwich shop in the back is stellar with great vegan options! It's always just fun to look in here because there's so many things jammed into a tiny place. You will literally find just about anything you need here.
The Kiva is a great place to find food spices, health food and Vitamins.
Great health food store and deli. People working there are very friendly and helpful.
Con: Expensive products and rude snotty employees. Pro: next door to my house. Wonderful selection of bulk products. Purchased $0.11 worth of cinnamon for a recipe once. that was great
Great store in downtown Eugene they have amazing deli with a large selection of assorted cheeses
Best place for nature teas
Always a good experience everytime I shop here. Most of the time they have exactly what I need, especially for making body care products.
This store reminds me of a local 'natural foods' store that was in my area where I used to live (it has since closed), and stepping foot into the Kiva reminded me of that store, only bigger and with more stuff, like a deli and a produce section. One wouldn't expect to find this type of store downtown. For a small store, it's impressive. They have a little of everything. When I have more time, I'll have to be back.
Very rude staff of employees. I entered their store one morning to purchase a few items and the 2 women working the checkout counters were very unfriendly to the degree of being outright rude that caused me to decide to not spend my money at their store. I personally recommend Sundance Market as their selection is much larger, better priced and their staff of employees are always very helpful and polite.
They have an amazing fresh produce and cheese section. They're basil bunch is always so delicious.
This is absolutely my favorite grocery store! The produce quality is wonderful! The people are awesome. I Love the magnets, the greeting cards, the books, the ceramic mugs, little finger puppets, essential oils, ear candles, shampoo & conditioner, gosh, they have a lot of great stuff!! Wish they had more of Synergy Kombucha though. They only had one flavor when I was there last.
Awesome, the only place in Eugene or Springfield that you can find grape leaves!!
Go to the deli and order a sandwich. You will not be disappointed.
Great store. Very clean and good prices. The selection is impressive for how small the store is. Very nice costumer service. I plan to shopping here often.
Good service nice selection
Great organic/natural food store, and their deli and cheese sections rival any place else's. Their store-made pasta dishes are very satisfying, especially the sun dried tomato and pesto pasta (without the peas -- there's another one with peas that's very different and not my thing).
Lovely place and great variety ... It's a little hard to get down some of the isles in a wheelchair but worth trying to ... Only place in town I can find some of the herbs I use and they have a fantastic bulk foods selection and knowledgeable people always willing to help me with anything
Friendly staff and great bulk goods. Bit more expensive than I like but it's also all organic and all those things that make things more expensive so it's not a corner store despite being on the corner, it's closer to a specialty grocer. I really like the cheese selection as well, very good stuff.
Great quality stuff. But they banned a friend and i for being homeless.
They've always got friendly and smiling staff. I love to go in to their deli for their yummy sandwiches. Their vegetable soup reminds me of some truly homemade stuff. The kind grandma makes.
Forget Whole Foods, this is the way a good health food store should be.Great local produce , excellent deli fare and Kombucha on tap!
Very rude and snobby Workers. The cashier rolled her eyes when I asked her if they had cheaper bread!
Great selection of good and interesting products. Community oriented. Good deli.
Love this place. A great local eugene spot.
Love to get a sandwich, oils & more, good Quality Good location near bus station.
Great local grocery store, amazing cheese case and everything you need, even has bulk bins.
I love this store and their great cheese selection. They also have good bulk sections with 15% on Wednesdays every other month. And I love that they were open on Easter.
I always love the selection of produce, and the body care aisle is my heaven. In the past I have always found the cashiers to be friendly and sweet, but unfortunately recently I have noticed that they aren't as nice. I stopped in with my kid on Saturday and we made two small purchases (had to go back for something I forgot), and the cashier that served me both times was very unfriendly.l towards me. She seemed more interested in chatting with the other cashier. I don't expect to be treated like royalty, but I do choose to shop at smaller local stores because it feels more personal. As I said, this isn't a one off, and for the time being it won't affect my decision to spend my money here, for the time being at least. Hopefully my next visit will be better.
Very good place for your Organic ingredients...
Awesome things in there. Lots of bulk food
They go on my inatagram and comment on me manwich
Amazing inventory!
Great Store, Great Food Selections, Everything is Healthy here!! - Even the Attitudes of the STAFF and SHOPPERS. Simply walking
Great place to get fresh, local and authentic groceries
Great selection, friendly staff. That salad bar sure looks tasty!
Great store and convenience too. They have the best ever bulk P-nut butter and other butters not able to find anywhere else in town...great bulk p-nuts...not too roasted. And a friendly guy named Zeke who is actually nice. Love Cornell too and his laugh, it can make your day! Been shopping here since 1976.
Great location and selection but prices are very high.
The experience inside the store was great. I easily found what I was looking for, it was very clean. I spent near $40.00 on sandwiches and drinks for myself and two of my daughters. We sat in the parking lot in a parked car to eat and talk and a brunette woman came and told us we were there for to long and told us we had to leave. I was really frustrated with that as we were only there about 30 minutes and it was incredibly rude.
Pretty cool little market. Nice selection of healthy products. The guy who helped us at the deli was nice, but the rest of the staff was pretty cold and aloof. A friendly staff would make this a great place.
I think the Kiva Deli offers the best lunch under $10. Great spot for a quick lunch to go if picnicking at a park.
Great market almost had everything I wanted
Love this place! Exceptional loose tea selection. I don't ever buy premade deli stuff, but I did here and was worth it. Had sesame noodles and tempeh teriyaki. Amazing! Another fabulous feature is that they buy produce that is local. Also have a great beverage selection. Go hungry, eat at the deli, grab a drink and snack and do your shopping. See ya there!
The Kiva has been doing it right for years. I'm always impressed by being able to find what I'm looking for. They seem to have everything I've needed. From saffron to mango and much more
Good place for natural and organic foods including bulk teas, coffee and foods Has sandwich offerings and coffee too. They also have wide variety of chocolates
Great selection for such a small space. This is the only full grocery store I know of that is actually in downtown. While I do appreciate having one, it is frustrating when there is not a cheaper "conventional food" available in walking distance. However, this is not the Kiva's fault, so it did not impact my star-rating. There is a parking lot, but it is located on a busy street, so be on alert getting in and out during peak hours. A very cute place and worth checking out if you live in the area.
Very helpful staff and variety of the organics. A bit pricey. Interesting place to browse for unique items.
They have high-quality product in dried goods and spices and produce section is very very fresh looking. Basically a lot of organic stuff
There's something fishy going on at The Kiva. faces are angry, jaws are clenched, costumer service has diminished to the point of employees turning on their heels and racewalking into the back room.
Best little grocery store in town. Great deli and bulk section.
This is a great little market and the staff is very friendly and informative. Their prices are fairly high but their selection is pretty good and they keep a lot of things on hand. overall I'm very happy with the product I purchased there and I would return when I'm in the area.
Super good selection of organic foods
I always used to shop here for bulk items. Not so much any more. They are WAY over priced and I can get the same items online.
Still good after all these years, prices could be more competitive, hopefully extra is going to staff pay
Great people, good prices and the deli is awesome!
Ahp there health h food store expensive and crowded always only have three cashers
Kiva is special in the way that it offers a unique variety of quality foods supplements and a deli that offers freshly prepared foods and many tasty items to go from their pasta pea salad a personal favorite to baked chicken falafel rice and veggie salads .I also love their cucumber salad .prices are affordable great service and helpful staff well informed about any of their products sold.a classic winner in my book.service is usually quick however at times it does get a bit crowded at peak times.enjoy the experience.
Used to go to the Kiva all of the time. Great place that absolutely represents Eugene in its entirety. The people that work there were great conversationalists. Good people.
Great stuff if you don't care what anything costs. Stopped in for a 10 item soup recipe and gave up after half my list put us over $50. Cold and unwelcoming vibe for such an old fashioned market. Big $$$ date night treats and cheeses. Guess I'll take my family back to Whole Foods?
Organic delights
Great little market downtown. Lots of organic and vegan options. Local pastries. Dynamite deli but it's super popular so have patience but definitely worth the wait. Cute little book nook too.
One of the cornerstones of of the Eugene scene. A must visit for visitors.
Comfy little downtown health food market. Good deli, great coffee, awesome selection of cheeses and breads. They also make a decent sandwich and have local donuts for sale. I especially enjoy buying from their bulk section- anything from seasonings to honey, hot chocolate, coffee beans. You name it they have it in bulk ;). There's a little bit of everything in this store. They have a dairy section and a produce section as well.
Awesome little grocery store and fresh delhi. Yummy fresh food, decent prices for good quality. Very convenient location right near the bus hub.
Prices God. Gets busy at lunch. Store is smaller than Trader Joe's. Good prices.
This is a really nice store with friendly and knowledgeable staff..been there a few times from out of town. Would go back again,as we look forward to going there every time we're in town!! Organic produce is available. A large selection of cheeses, and eclectic Foo choices...bulk spices are available. This store is really great, you won't be disappointed. Only drawback is homeless people everywhere...panhandlers don't hang out by the store..but are close by...
