Donovan is a friendly and knowledgeable business owner. He explained how the produce stand came to be and he was very welcoming. I absolutely love that the stand is open daily (outside of winter). I love buying my produce outside of a grocery store and will definitely be back. I arrived around 7:50pm and he treated me as if I was his first customer of the day. I never felt rushed or as if I had to be out of there by 8pm. Excellent hidden gem!

This was my first time going and I am so glad that I did. I usually go to the Farmer's Market, but when I can't get there by noon, I miss out. Perkins Orchard is near my house and there are so many varieties of fruit. The $20 bounty bag is perfect. I will stop by weekly to get out fresh produce and other local items.

We love Perkins!! We've gotten produce all year, got our pumpkins there and just tonight got our Christmas tree from Donovan!! We took advantage of their $99 December deal (8ft tree, "$20 bag deal" including free cheese, and 2 jarred goods) The tree alone was $92 so we basically got $50 worth of produce/jarred goods free!! Oh and we will stop by on the way to school in the morning because Donovan is making SNOW!!!

My roommate and I are regular customers at Perkins Orchard. I don't buy my produce from anywhere but Perkins during the months that they are open. I've never had such fresh produce. Their peaches and mangos are some of the best I've ever had, and the quality of the fruits are better than the grocery stores. I love the friendly atmosphere, and the prices are excellent. I highly recommend Perkins as the place to go and get your produce!

Overall nice place, however I will not be returning here. I asked a simple question of what the difference was between a orange and yellow watermelon and the owner basically told me to shut up IN FRONT OF MY 3 CHILDREN. And continue to go on and on about something we had no interest in. Terrible customer service. He gave me a 5 minute explanation of the watermelons AND I STILL DONT KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. Definitley not worth it, you can get the same produce for the same price except its actually ORGANIC at Sprouts supermarket. My family and friends will not be returing here. Extremely rude.

We also had the zucchini, vidalia onion and tomatoes last night for dinner which were incredible. Better than any grocery store produce! We will definitely use Perkins for our produce supply.

This stand has everything you want for the kitchen and then some. When you drive past it, it's set into a back yard, looking like a food oasis. They have elderberry honey, which is not very easy to find, and if you have children then you want to keep elderberry on hand to send colds away quick. They have a $20 fill up bag where you can pack in dinner and breakfast for the next few days, and the young man who runs the market has a very compelling story to share about the history of the market and how he became the owner. I've decided to do all my grocery shopping here from now on. Scuppernong wine, strawberry wine, cherry honey, just flavors everywhere.

It might feel weird to drive into someone's backyard essentially and buy produce but suspend that feeling for a second and check our Perkins Orchard. They have super fresh produce that is locally grown and always delicious. The prices are good too so you aren't being gouged for the higher quality produce. Look out for the signs and flags on Barbee Rd to see where they are located; it can be tough to spot if you are driving along quickly.
