This Fruit Store belongs to the category of Grocery store.
Decent selection, decent prices, great location
With 2 local Krogers now closed, they need to realize the new foot traffic and open more lanes. Prices here are higher than Kroger, but lower then Harris Teeter. Good deli, and butcher. Veggies could be fresher. Bakery is ok, Harris Teeter is better.
Best hand breaded spicy chicken tenders in Raleigh.
Correction; the U-SCAN is slow and outdated. Check sale prices as they do not always show up. Check dates on Greenfield and APPLEGATE sliced Turkey etc. If on sale often out of date.does not have it if date marked and the meat guy says says to bring it back for 200% guarentee, but that requires another trip. They do not notify you on special case orders. Prepped fruit is priced higher than Whole Foods.
Good store before remodel, fantastic after. Great produce and products. Sausage works is continually taken advantage of. Beer den is great and the fact that you can enjoy while you shop is great. Foods to go service customer for going on 20 years. It's another example of how great this store is.
Bad customer service in general. The cashiers make me feel bad for being in their lines. The only good thing about this place is the beer.
We've been using this location for the majority of our grocery needs. The produce has always been well managed and the meat selection is what you would expect. Sausage works and the beer den are nice perks. We take advantage of Lowes food to go regularly and while we've encountered a few mistakes they have always been quick to correct.
I went in on a Saturday morning to try and get some produce there was only one bunch of celery in the store and many of the produce section’s were missing items. This is my third visit to the store and it doesn’t seem to be as well stocked as other Lowe’s in the area and prices seem to be a little bit higher so I have shopped elsewhere.
This store keeps getting better each time I visit Raleigh. Great produce, meat and pastries.
I love there bakery and they have a great craft beer selection also there wine prices are very good as well.
Much better now that they stopped making employees do chicken dance. Watching workers at a grocery store be forced to do an awkward dance was uncomfortable and kept me away for a while.
Tired of bagging own groceries with kids in tow. Something has changed at this Lowe's location, management? I have overheard managers talking to employees about cutting hours while in the checkout and it is clearly leading to everyone bagging their own groceries, I mean everyone. If you wait on the clerk (not their fault) to bag the lines back up. People walk by including the manager and watch women, grandparents etc doing their own bagging. You can't keep track of your bill while bagging. I have never minded doing this on occasion during busy hours but it's every time.
A fairly standard Lowes. There are a few small shops around it but this is defiantly an anchor store in this crossroads. It's the usual stuff in the store. Store is nice and has a few things not seen at HarrisTeeter or FoodLion but it's all the standard stuff as far as groceries go. Convenient to stop in on the way home to pick up something you need.
I like this market. Foods seem fresh but prices are reasonable. Definitely better quality than Food Lion but not outlandish pricing like Whole Foods. They do prepare fresh foods such as guacamole there as well as baked goods. The deli section has whole cooked chickens, etc.. Good selection. They also do not block the aisles too much so you can get around. I hate places where the aisles are obstacle courses. Good parking.
Great fried chicken, nice layout
Nadine is the sweetest! Try Hug wine, it's great for summer cocktails!
Selection is on par with other grocery stores. This low score is for the cashier's and front desk manager. They mail you coupons to get you to go in. When you check out, they literally make up excuses on why you can't use said coupons. You explain that on the coupons, the exceptions are clearly labeled, yet the reasons you deny them you can't provide written documents or policies other than they were "told" not to accept them. REALLY? Had to waste quite a bit of time getting higher level management to sort this out. Not hassle free shipping experience. I recommend going to a more customer friendly store.
nice
Clean store with updated interior. Good beer selection with a bar in the store. Helpful and friendly service with limited wait in the check out lines. Very limited vegan and health food options. Overall way more expensive for all the groceries I buy. I would rather go to the whole foods right across the street.
Love supporting NC businesses especially those with such spectacular employees!
Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good food.
I love this store, I wish I still lived close enough to frequent it. They have updated the whole front of the store with a single entry/exit and put seasonal and sale merchandise right in your view. The produce is fresh and I always saw someone there in that section looking after the merchandise. Selection is typical of a supermarket with a very good bakery (I love the apple turnovers!!!).
Very good selection. Very nice place. Well organized. A little more expensive than all the other places.
Nice clean, friendly place. The prices are a little high
This store is convenient and has a disent selection of items.
Ok, I’m angry now. This is the second time in a week that we purchased meat and had to return it because it was spoiled. The first time was lamb chops, the second, tonight, was gourmet burgers..I’ve had it. Follow up. When my husband tried to return it, the acting manager said the expiration date is the 20th, it’s the 10th. Hubby said smell it..the acting manager said, “smells like meat to me”. What an attitude! As I said, I’m done..
Sometimes I can't find the brands I'm used to here. But the beer den is great! Get a growler and get it filled! $4.99 for organic toaster pastries is high when Target and Food Lion have the same ones for less than $3.
I love Lowes When you walk in (love the flowers ) flowers makes you happy then the fruits & bakery Bakery is tops
The self-checkout are very picky & give many false alerts requiring assistance. If they're going to charge more than Wal-Mart, it should work better than Wal-mart.
The staff there are really nice, the store is clean and organized. I liked how the store is large and it was easy to access each product because it was not cramped.
Okay.. so, this place hands down, has the BEST chocolate cake (short of having one made at a specialty bakery, etc..) there is so much icing, it keeps the cake fresh and moist for several days
This store is clean and selections are great. My reason for removing two stars is the customer service is horrible. Employees are not friendly or helpful and I came at a time when it wasn't busy. Cashier seemed irritated when we went up to check out and was so standoffish it seemed intentionally rude although I'm sure he just didn't want to be at work, even so, it's not the customers problem. I'm writing this in hopes that management can tell their staff that a simple smile goes a long way.
Been shopping here for years. They did a huge overhaul so now it's much more bougie and I'm not as big a fan, but it has a good selection.
Nice, friendly and helpful employees
Lowe's foods is pretty cool I wish there was one in Durham
Nice place. Recently renovated.
I needed a variety of things to make a fruit basket and they had everything I needed, one stop shopping.
The best salad bar around
Pretty good selection. Clean
Went in for seafood, hoping that they'd have some items Food Lion didn't have. I was wrong and the man at the butcher counter was discourteous. I asked if they had calamari. He walked to a cooler, pointed to a bag and I tried to ask, "Is this all you have?" as he walked away saying, "that's it." It was 10 am, and they were completely empty. Food Lion on Strickland was much, much more helpful, even though they didn't have what I needed either.
Like this store but your so called sales on wines is not a sale. The sale prices are same as in other stores full price and I also checked at Vivino. So your full prices are way overpriced
Allways relaxing, friendly and good beers.
They have a new espresso, wine and beer bar! Fun! Good variety of products, decent organic selections, they redecorated a year or two ago and it's very attractive as grocery stores go. Not upscale, but good basic grocery store. Decent prices. Friendly staff.
The store is much nicer than it used to be before the renovations but the prices are higher than Harris Teeter and I still have the same intermittent problems with selection that I've always had at this store; inevitably the store will be out of at least one thing on my list.
Used Instacart to shop/deliver from the Lowe’s foods on Strickland Rd. Even though I could have shopped elsewhere for cheaper, I chose them because they carry some things I can’t easily find anywhere else. They were out of stock on 10 of the 33 items, all of which included the things I can’t get elsewhere. I could see if it was a weekend, or an after work rush, but this happened early afternoon on a Tuesday. Also, 80% of the items that were out of stock were not on sale. I will not make shop here again, in person or through Instacart, having faith this store can restock their shelves or predict demand between shipments. Intead I will request the items I have a hard time finding from my Harris Teeter store.
Clean easy to shop good customer service
Excellent selection and the bakery is top notch.
There produce is so AMAZING! CAN'T WAIT TO GO BACK!
OVER PRICED. I use to think Harris Teeter was expensive. Since sadly Kroger's left, I thought I'd try out Lowes. Their products are generally speaking much more expensive than HT. Then in addition they have no rewards program and won't match competitor prices. Not that a rewards program makes or breaks my wanting to shop with any business. I have a $10 off $50 purchase coupon, but what's the point of using it when the one product I'm interested in purchasing is $3/lb more than Harris Teeter's!!! Its a pretty store with a lot of offerings, but I'm interested in value for my money. Wil continue to not shop there.
Late night customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Otherwise, I love shopping at this location.
Very efficient and helpful. I wish it were closer but it's worth traveling the extra distance.
I love that I can pick my own fresh basil and other spices right off the plant. I can't say enough about the bakery!! Yummm. Always a pleasure.
I always love this place
My go to store for organic groceries and meats/deli/seafood. Great workers in the fish/meat/deli area. Seafood is especially fresh - only had one issue in 8 years. Food Lion - not so much. I never wait more than 5 minutes to check out. New bakery is fabulous!
WICKED expensive!!!
Recently rennovated and a good variety compared to most grocery stores.
I waited more than 30 minutes for 4 orders of whole chickens, there was chicken in display and they did not want to sell it and they cooked new chicken for 30 minutes to be able to sell it to me !! very bad service, bad logistics of diatribution.
Great store after the remodel. Really brought the produce section up to Fresh Market standards.
Easy to shop, products well organized to make it easy, pleasant environment to be shop with a neighborly feel pleasant people
I ordered a plate for my son and I. The fried fish I ordered was very salty and dried out. The guy dropped Mac and cheese on the counter and put it back in with the Mac and cheese he was serving. I miss Kroger
This Lowes is a typical suburban grocery store that leans to the upscale. Besides convenience, the thing I like the most about the grocery store is that it's always a pleasant shopping experience. It's isn't so crowded that you feel like you're going to be run over with a shopping cart. The atmosphere is calm. The cashiers and managers are pleasant. Whenever I have questions or need help, I get assistance pretty quickly. They have nice fruits and vegetables and emphasize produce from "local" farms. I've been known to pick up some of their prepared foods which are pretty tasty. I like their meat and fish selections too. Their prices are a little higher than some of the other grocery stores. However, the company is a North Carolina company and they are trying to support North Carolina businesses. I like to support that as often as I can.
Fancy. A little pricey. It's a different kind of grocery experience. They have this weird animatronic chicken in the ceiling that talks and sings. It's in the chicken kitchen. But the fruit and veggies are fresh and good quality.
Seems to have a fresh look to it and clean
Very poor cashier service and several calls to manager not answered.
People were friendly, the guy at the bakery was quick and informative. However the cake was awful!! I made a special trip because I was told they were so good?? Way too much icing?? Cake itself was dry, tasted almost freezer burnt?? Self check out continued to ask that I scan items that had been??? And the lady working that area was very slow.
Produce that looks almost as good as whay my local farmers sell. Manager was very friendly and helpful.
Staff is very nice.
I have a weird fondness for grocery stores. If on the first time I go, I am able to not only get everything on my list but find something new...that store will have my loyalty until inevitably they start to slip like every other grocery store. Lowes on Strickland was a surprise find for me. After I moved here I was pining for my old grocery store and tried all of my local stores. Harris Teeter is disgusting, the Whole Foods here is so tiny and dismal, Food Lion is laughable...what was left? I tried Lowes in Brier Creek and wasn't impressed but this one on Strickland has turned my head. Its enormous, well stocked, you dont constantly have to wiggle around kids restocking shelves and the cashiers are very friendly. They are going thru a remodel right now I guess to try to compete with the soon to be coming King of stores...Wegmans. I will keep shopping here at Lowes. I can always find what I want and the prices arent outrageous.
The staff is extremely rude!!! Especially to black and brown people!!!
I've only been there 3 times, and none of the checkout people smile or happy can carry on a conversation. Wondering, is it locate too many hours working or never been trained to be pleasant however, some of the people working on the floor have been most helpful with me trying to find products and severally in in the area for a week thank you
Clean and well maintained. Recent upgrades have improved the experience. Beer den is a great idea if a bit expensive. Overall, prices seem to have increased since the renovations. More smiles would help a bit here too.
Easy to get into and out of. Decent selections in all departments.
This is one of my favorite places to get groceries. They always have what I am looking for and their employees are usually very friendly. The store has very unique things compared to other grocery stores in the area. There's a bar, a bakery with a daily selection of cake for you to buy by the slice and a their very own chicken shop like KFC. It's very good and I love it.
Thanks to the talented people in the Bakery!
Nice store but a little pricey, good sales
The only place I’ll grocery shop in North Raleigh! The staff is so kind and the online order pickup option makes life so much easier.
This place was clean and organized. The shelves were stocked and the staff was very helpful and friendly. If I stayed closer this would be my go to spot.
Good prices, bad food. We went on a Sunday. We saw moldy packets of sliced cheese hanging in the coolers. We bought milk, sausage, and ground beef. It turns out the milk we bought Sunday had expired Saturday. The ground beef went gray after a day in our fridge. We returned the milk, sausage, and ground beef. We won't be going there again.
Great atmosphere for shopping!
The attention at the chicken counter is really bad! I’m working for instacart and I have an order for 4 box (8 pcs) chicken, the girl who placed the order trough the app made 2 hr ago and the last shopper canceled the order because the people work at the chicken counter said that you need to placed a order before because you need to wait 20 min for fried a chicken! But they have chicken already fried but I don’t understand why they don’t want to selling me, so I need to wait 20 min for my chicken when they have chicken already fried in the counter!!
Swanky store for a Lowes. Shop here all the time and think it's pretty good. Nice attention to produce and very kid-friendly butcher section. Very helpful staff -- always.
The best of the best here
Awesome food, great selection, impressive
Great grocery store!
Very helpful folks!! Needed some balloons and the nice gentleman did it with a smile and was very sweet.
Not a grocery store for a quick shopping run. If you need sliced meat or cheese from the deli, plan on being there at least a half-hour. Also, not a whole lot of variety when it comes to pasta and kosher foods.
Clean and fresh!
Recently renovated with a beer growler fill station. They have a nice selection and an upgraded deli with a sausage area. If I didn't have to pass 3 grocery stores to get to it, I would shop there more often.
Nice store with some nice Lowes twists, like the sausage counter or craft beer corner. Produce is a little limited. Store isn't open 24 hours.
very clean. Supplied pretty well even with hurricane Florence 2 days away.
Worst Lowes meat department. Sad
Good prices and friendly staff.
Genuine, friendly staff. Warm atmosphere. Feels local, even though it's a chain. Also an excellent alternative to avoid Harris Teeter.
The beer den makes grocery shopping into a fun errand. ;) Lovely staff, and bright clean store. Keep an eye out for great sale prices on high quality items (of which they have plenty!)
Wonderful store.
Best inventory and great prices
Very clean with wide variety of fresh and packaged foods.
Great place to shop
Best local grocery store to my area.
Wonderful Grocery Store with an AMAZING Beer Selection and Growler filling Station and freshly made Sausage Bar.
Truly committed to local! Hey OK selection of organic food and a very strong selection of locally grown produce.
Bad new manager in the deli. She spoke rudely and condescendingly to your two best employees there. Those guys are the best, she needs to be professional like them.
Nice store but doesn't stock Glutinous brand bread.
This is my favorite grocery store in Raleigh. The staff is always great the floor plan is easy to navigate and find your food it's not too big of a store. Prices are a little bit higher than normal however they have the best fresh cut fruit great sandwiches huge selection of wine and beer. The management is great they also have Lowes food products which are priced a little bit cheaper but everything that I have had from the Lowe's brand has been pretty good I would recommend it to anyone
Clean store with a wide variety to choose from!
Clean store, lots of parking. Self checkouts are great!!
Just moved to the area and this is going to be my store. It's large, well decorated and well lit. The aisles are large. The freshly prepped meals, house-made sausages and beer selection are top-notch.
It's a great place to buy groceries.
No complaints, nice store, recently renovated
Clean store, reasonable prices, the Beer Den is awesome, I can enjoy a beer while shopping (beer is a little pricey). Happy staff, well lit, and they have pretty much everything we always need.
First visit. Great produce. Friendly staff.
I love this place since their remodel! They now have a produce prepping station, bottle shop, sausage shop, and panini/pizza deli. Get your growlers filled here!
Very good deli and bakery, but everything costs $1 to $2 more than Harris Teeter
Wonderfully helpful staff! Nice selection
We're big fans of Lowe's. Their wall of bar-b-que sauces is crazy! There are so many to choose from that I can spend too much time on that decision
Loved all the local products offered at this store!
I dont like the energy of the staff at this location.
Yes! Beer while shopping! And good beer at that! The only way to get me into a grocery store.
Very clean organized store... pretty cool it has a bar
Good selection except for yogurt. They don't carry Chonani Coffee. Otherwise, great
Outdated us can. Only 3 work and they are slow. Employee says they are outdated. Meat depot is notoriously wrong with products missing or wrong prices. Many staples are over priced even more than whole foods 1 block away. Only go there for 1 or 2 items. Most staff does not care.
Great store, helpful employees.
I haven't been to lowes in years. We got 10.00 off 50.00 coupon so we tried it again. We still do not like Lowe's they are overpriced and the staff is not friendly like other stores. We won't be going back.
It's a grocery store. The veggies are good; the meat counter is good; and there's a beer counter. What more could you ask for?
When I visit Raleigh I always enjoy shopping here.
I like the selection and the people.
I like this grocery store and shop here when I'm close by. It's clean, produce is fresh, and there are excellent food options.
Nice ,clean well stocked store
They have a nice deli section with awesome take and bake style pizzas. There is also a large selection of NC made food products including a real ginger ale soda, something unheard of these days.
Nice store, cashiers definitely want you to leave a cart at their aisle and don't mind telling you that. Good prices in the ad. Large wine and beer section and great place to find coupons.
Most expensive but nice environment
A clean and bright environment but the staff can be less than hospitable
They have a great selection and decent prices! A great highlight is the Beer Den serving some of the best Craft Beer available.
Great selection and excellent customer service!
Everyone is so kind and helpful. Love this store.
Nice clean store the butcher is very friendly
This is by far my favorite Lowes Food location I just recently moved from Raleigh and I hated the fact that I was going to leave this grocery store behind. The staff here has always been so nice and it's always going above and beyond to ever help me with anything that I have needed. The store is kept very well maintained its very clean and the bathrooms have always been maintained as well. By far one of the nicest grocery stores have ever been to the bakery Deli and Meat Department of a very large variety of items. My two-year-old daughter was completely obsessed with the chicken that moves in the deli they would always play The Chicken Dance song and the staff used to always come out from the deli area to do it it made her day. And it always made our visit to Lowes Foods so eventful thanks you guys for always going above and beyond and being so great I will definitely miss shopping here that's for sure.
