Such a large, clean store! You must take your own bags and bag your groceries yourself. They have a wide variety of all different types of food and fresh baked sweets breads in the front of the store. Very courteous and professional workers in that store. Shopping carts are free to use, no quarter required.

Went to the Wilson NC location today. First time since I was there during grand opening. They have increased the SURPRISE lanes which makes room for less groceries. The Bakery had virtually no items. Most I saw displayed was 3 but most only had one. Not good for a Saturday, but they did have plenty of wines for those that rather get merry instead of eating. They didn't have the olive oil that I loved and was needing. So in all is was not the great experience I had when I first went. When I grocery shop for groceries I expect to find groceries instead of SURPRISES for row upon row. Will not be returning.

This is a great place to shop. Plenty of items to choose from and a great staff. Fresh baked items too. European style shopping in your neighborhood. Handicapped parking and other nearby places to eat and gas and fuel are also very convenient.plenty of parking and clean public restrooms.

Never have the good items from the flyer in stock. No rain checks either. At least when other grocery stores trick you into a visit with their flyer they make it worthwhile. Lines are always long. Dont bother with self checkout you're guaranteed to need an employees help who is busy at a register. Other stores have a dedicated rep to self checkout. Can't call directly and check stock, meat (Ribeyes) are the oddest shape triangular fat blobs. Chips are a good value and their craft beer brand has gone down the crapper. Not really worth going.

This is one of those supermarkets with a variable inventory. Sometimes they will have a particular item and some times not. If you are looking for general groceries and produce you can get some great deals, but if you are looking for a particular brand of an item they are not likely to have it. Clean and we'll stop ked store. Bring your own bag. Great wine selection.

I had the worst customer service from clerk to manager. They don't know their sale prices & set their rules. I corrected them, they didn't admit it & manager told me that I have an attitude. I wish they know their prices & math. This is the third time happened at this store. I went other Lidl& never haveb an issue.

I just moved in town and being originally from Germany this store just makes me feel like home. I had in the past a hard time in Florida getting cashiers to understand that I have my own bags but here it is absolutely encouraged to bring your own or you pay for their paper bags. They do have a plastic bag recycling Ben that you can fish one out if you did not bring your own.

This is an excellent store with great prices. Not quite as rock-bottom as Aldi, but it's a nicer store to shop at. My kids love the little carts. Only complaint: on several occasions now I've been overcharged for items that were marked as being on sale but did not register as such when scanned. It wasn't too big of a hassle to fix, but still something they could work on. I would recommend you check your receipt carefully.

Great prices and a good selection but this location is understaffed and the staff they do have, in part, are pretty rude. I was waiting in line, had some customers not get a rewards discount, so I moved to another line. The male cashier wasn’t waiting on anyone and the second I put my two items down he walked away saying he needed to handle the other registers issue. I won’t lie, I was annoyed but I proceeded to bide my time and check an email. He came back, and I assumed he was still talking on his headset (which they seem to do often and I never know if they are speaking to me) and then he sarcastically thanked me for my response. Uncalled for. So, you know, don’t except top grade service. Carts are always nice though

Thoroughly enjoy shopping at any of these locations. I have EASILY cut my shopping bill for my family in half if not more (depends on if we spoil ourselves with some junk) I highly recommend anyone to shop here. Being completely honest there's only a handful of things I get from other places an only because they have it in higher quantity than Lidl, not because Lidl doesn't have it. The selection is great with a lot if name brands that are well known.

Inexpensive prices compared to traditional supermarkets. Half gallon of milk is $0.75. I do about 75% of my food shopping here. No difference between a lemon here and at other stores but usually half the price and even cheaper when they go on sale. Quality is better than Aldi in my opinion. High quality meats are the only thing I won't buy here as the quality is very hit or miss but for everything else Lidl has my business.

My go to grocery store after Foodlion. I can get almost everything I need. The prices fit my budget, the eggs are fresh, the bread is soft, the fruit is ripe, dinner is served. You don't have to pay for the shopping cart but you will need to bring your own bags. If not you can buy paper bags for .7 cent or a plastic one for a dime. If you didn't know they dont carry the same brands you will see in say Foodlion but its still all the same things. The deals are fabulous so you can feed yourself and your family regular healthy meals without breaking the bank. They sell fresh bread and pastries, and exotic spices. In the middle of the store are several aisles of homegoods, garden supplies, tools, clothes for baby and parents, etc. Nice store, nice prices, worth the trip.

Lidl is the best place to go grocery shopping on a budget. They do have name brand products but most are not. The off brand products taste just as good however. When my wife and myself go, we always fill our shopping cart to the top for roughly $120. Do that at any other grocery store and it'll easily cost you $200+. Also, a helpful reminder... Don't forget to bring your own bags! :)

As always Lidl is inexpensive and easy to navigate around with the open layout. Very clean and this location stays open until 10pm. This experience was not too good though basically everything on sale that went on sale was completely gone and is never restocked. That pisses me of that the store can't restock what they know is going to be on sale and gone fast and that greedy ignorant people just raid the sale items. Also the pregnant cashier was not very friendly and just trying to push customers out the door I'm guessing cause she doesn't want to be there. Thinking about switching locations that can serve me better.

I like Lidl. They are a well ran organization. One can tell the planning on store location was not up to snuff in the first year in USA operations there is no telling where you will find one. I have found several in residential areas. The great thing about Lidl is they have cheap prices. They make Wal-Mart look high, and their quality is with the higher end retailers. I love them. There is no telling what one will get a deal on. They also have GM merchandise of good quality that is priced to sell. The only things I can say negative about this chain at this time is, one they tend to run out of ad items quickly. Second, they hold on to seasonal merchandise well into the next and the next holiday. No one wants to see Santa in July. Just give him to charity. Third, in the first year the company came into the USA very aggressively and cut out a lot of stores in the second year cancelling the one in my town so I have to drive 45 minutes to get to one, but I hope after they get operations drilled down in the third year they change that......

Good deals, fresh produce and meats. I love their bakery and produce departments. This location is relatively new, and you would expect it to be one of the better ones because of this. Unfortunately, its woefully understaffed. There was only one register consistently open at 3 PM. The parking lot had carts all over the sidewalks and there was trash and weeds around the building.

Great store but one major drawback... Why in the world you gonna put self- checkouts and then close them!? The most annoying thing ever! I go there ever few days and grab few thing, hoping for fast in and out.. now I have to wait in line behind someone with full card to unload their stuff and check out and also bag them while staying still there to pay for my couple things with Apple Pay and I can even leave because they are still blocking the lane behind them... really really annoying! Lidl biggest strength is its produce. High quality with great prices. You are not going to find everything you need in a Lidl trip, but you will find a lot. I generally go there first for produce, and fill in at Kroger what they didn't have. Also, don't forget your bags, and you have to bag your own groceries. That's sometimes a challenge if you buys $100 worth or more because you often have to scramble to bag your groceries or other patrons are waiting.

There are very few things that are offered here that I haven't cared for. The price on spices can't even be beat by Walmart, so it's definitely my go to for that. This year so far, there have been some insane sales on meat products in particular and if you get there at opening time, you can generally capitalize on them without a problem. Needless to say, I'm stocked up for months on almost everything I would need.

I am a great supporter of Lidl, but today we were very disappointed when we saw the same French wine at 2 different prices. We brought it to the attention of the check out clerk who brushed us off. We brought it up to the attention of a supervisor who also brushed us off. Finally we brought it up to the attention of the store manager who shrugged his shoulders basically saying so what. It was the store on providence in Norfolk va. The wine Pouilly Fuisse . In 2 different display. Same identical year and wine once at 14.99 (until sold out) and on another display 19.99.

This place needs more employees to keep it stocked and clean. Bakery is rarely stocked. Christmas items still out and not reduced in February. Almost more general merchandise than groceries. Most products decent but some just horrible. Customer service tells you one thing and it never occurs.

Nice place for occasional shopping. They have great prices but not a huge selection. The selection changes so that makes it interesting. It is very clean. Also bring your own bags. You do your own bagging. They sell bags, paper is 7 cents, plastic 10 and reusable 99.

Love this place!! Interesting selection and the prices are unbeatable. Love the delicious bakery. The lines can be a little long sometimes but they’re always quick to open up other ones. Best thing to happen to the area in a long time.

I love coming here been doing it since they opened. For all the one star comment did you not realize what this store was like. You should have known that you had a by your own bags it's just like going to aldes. And the unfamiliar it is their brand this isn't about store name brand stuff this is about saving a little bit of money. I get all my vegetables milk juices butter the right is worth the money as I save a lot of it. O and the junk food taste just as good as the name brand I stock up on that for the kids.

Good choice for groceries. The middle section with sheets, socks, etc seems out of place. The same items can be found elsewhere for less. Good food, but they shouldn't concentrate on non-grocery items. Friendly cashiers.

Interesting grocery store. If you've never been, it is an European grocery chain. It's similar to Aldis, but has more stuff. Not a lot of name brand items. Best part is essentials(bread, milk, eggs, meats, cheese) are very reasonably priced. Just isn't a replacement for your normal grocery store, if you're looking for specific brands. Also like Aldis, bags cost, so reusable bags are recommended

Don't be surprised if you don't see the name brands you've become accustomed to. This is, I believe, is how they keep the prices at a reasonable rate. I have never in my life left a grocery store empty handed before. Today was a day of firsts. The prices are better than a lot of stores in the area. Unfortunately, the employees look like I was ruining their day after simply giving a smile and a nod in their direction. The prices on meat were not competitive enough to be worth cutting the quality. The store is filthy. The shelves look rough. What a shame. People really spoke highly of this store.

Interesting selections especially of organic & gluten free products, as well as a diverse array of international cuisine. Prices are extremely competitive. I don't mind bagging my own groceries or bringing my own bags, as I know that's where they help cut costs. But the layout can be confusing at first and they need some more diversity in some areas.

Competitive prices, amazing parking, very well lit, great customer service, great selection on foreign goods and domestic at an actual value of price. Other places like Harris teeter over charge foreign goods. Wine here is a natural prices instead of the typical 10$ for a simple bottle. I grew up in Europe and it's a nice piece of home. The generics of goods and assorted food goods show that generic doesn't have to be poorly made.

Today was the first time I’ve ever visited Lidl and I was extremely impressed!! This store is exceptionally clean and well organized. The fresh baked bread, doughnuts and pretzels are amazing!! This was a fun shopping spree as I got to experience seeing European Christmas candies, cookies and chocolates that I’d never seen before. The best part of the trip was the fact that I’ve never seen milk, eggs, ice cream and produce so cheap before!! $.30 for a dozen of eggs!! 2 half gallons of milk cost only $1.62!! A box of Post cereal: $1.49!! This is definitely a must go to store!!!
