This may just look like a grocery store. But, the service and selection of products were outstanding! The lady who helped at the hot food area was exceptionally nice and helped me. Then the checkout girl went out of her way to help and even waited for me to grab something I had forgotten. I highly recommend this for anything you may meed while visiting West Jefferson.

Usually this Ingles is my "go-to" grocery store when we are vacationing in VA, but the produce left a lot to be desired this time, the processed cheese section seemed to have an issue with the refrigeration and everything was more at room temp and softened, and the stouffers baked ziti I purchased had to be tossed out after I baked it - it was extremely bitter to the taste.

I am a Floridian and I traveled to North Carolina. I am used to my Publix Supermarkets back home but Ingles was a very nice substitute. They had everything I as missing back home and the service was fast and friendly.

I love, love, love Ingles. I go there at least once a day. The manager, assistant manager and all the employees bend over backwards to help me all the time! When I go in, they say hello, thank you, come back, all those good things. I would give them top notch in all catgegories! Their pharmacy also goes above and beyond for me and my family!

Thank God this place exists here. Huge produce dept, great salad and olive bar, decent beer selection, seafood stand, granola bar, etc... healthiest place to shop in the area other than farmer's market. Aisles are huge too so never bottlenecks. Four stars only because I wish they had more employee presence on the floor to help and answer questions.

We have visited West Jefferson from Florida twice (once in 2010 and again in 2017 - a week each time). We love Ingles. It reminds us of our own Publix stores except it feels more local. It's always clean, shelves are fronted, and the variety is very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have everything we need and more. It's just right!

Ingles is great for your common items. Same pricing model as the other major supermarkets where not everything is super cheap but a good amount of products are run on "specials" where they are cheaper than other places such as Walmart. These specials rotate throughout the year and they make up revenue with the other products which are priced normally but still a little above Walmart. Overall though the experience at this particular Ingles is great, friendly people everywhere, awesome bakery, great selection at the deli.
