This Fruit Store belongs to the category of Grocery store.
Great market but too expensive $$$$$$
The quality of ordering food is the worst, they are sending fruits with molds and disgusting. Every time I am trying to contact manager there transferred me to manager who is not even manager. They have no respect for their customers, they are just trying to make money by selling bad products.
Superior. But then its a fresh market on the upper east side of Manhattan ...that said would like to point out the Chef's Counter located in the middle of this exquisite grocery store..marble topped and splashed with overhead heat lamps for quiet nestled in confort , straight shot views of all the workers and Joe the chef who will cook anything in the store of you ask and show a little interest. Very upbeat , upscale without being overpowering. Very good food , smartly prepared and delicious.
Love it!
Excellent service! Great bakery.
Prices are *generally* high, but it's the only place in close walking distance where I can get a good butcher-quality steak! The prices on steak are also really darn good: the cheapest cuts off sirloin are $10.99/lb, and they're usually pretty darn good!
What a great place to go for picking up a few items and leaving with more than you ever imagined. They have products that you can't find anywhere else, and the quality is superb. The place is often busy because they have things you just cannot find in your standard grocery store. I was in New York City visiting and went in there to pick up a few odds and ends and left with fabulous foods. Definitely five stars for New York City
Overpriced but a fair selection
Porque tienen deliciosos postres.
I just got back from shopping at Grace's, the trip rates a bit of civic duty, a review. First off, I would join in with most, by saying the store products, their range, one or two of its specialty counters, are way better than the rest on the UES, and probably on par with the best suppliers in the city. Where I am parting way with the bulk of the reviewers is at the descriptions of their service. I do strive to keep my day jealously sphincters-free, and that may set me apart. I add that as a proviso anyhow, service does collide against our very different, individual thresholds, at times. I had a blindingly bright impression today, however, and that I need to share unadorned: Grace's managers have got to be hiring through probation officers, not classified, no other possible explanation for that floor. But don't get me wrong, that would be a commendable endeavor! Bravo to them! They should add to this honorable deed though. A modicum of extra training may just be what's needed for these society re-joiners. Nothing crazy exotic like pressing for service with a smile, of course. Simple stuff, little things, such as explaining foul manners, albeit vital in the yard, are not an added value in food stores; a good thing would be reminding these works in progress that shoppers are not ex-cons on a food line, and not good game to step on when stocking. Listening to customers' declarative English sentences without guttural throaty unintelligible sounds could be another constructive, simple point to make; and when they felt devilishly daring, these overworked Grace's managers should treat themselves, trying to teach to cash registers personnel the mysteries and beauty behind words like knishes, parsnips, skyr... that would be so awesome... The malevolent look from the 4'2" mini thug at the butcher counter (I had the audacity to appear just after a banter session with his pals,) would have me rate Grace's Market zero stars, particularly because I walked out without my Bolognese ingredients. But it would be unfair. Two stars then, a predictable one for the undeniable food quality and selection - there's diligence and professionalism there. And one more because I didn't see the telltale tattoos of dangerous gangs on anyone (so far.) That is a sort of silver lining, is it not?
Well stocked with expensive speciality item, very expensive meat and seafood. Very nice vegetables.
Great atmosphere. Just a great store with friendly knowledgeable staff.
Interesting menu options for eat-in dining.
Convenient location. Service and pricing could be better
Great variety of high-end and organic products. The restaurant and the prepared foods are delicious and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable.
Great food and produce way too expensive
Small neighborhood gourmet supermarket. Everything very tasty. Produce looks good. Prepared foods good to excellent. Bakery very good. A lot of selection packed into a small space. Friendly staff. Delivery/help with packages. Frequent shopper club. Lots of reasons to become a regular shopper. A little pricey compared to suburbs, but not bad for the area.
Very good selection and quality. A bit pricy, howeverl
Italian Food selection is so great
Love Grace's. Great produce with loads of organics.
It's awesome, great food, pasty etc
I've caught insects in the food a couple of times...so...you already know what to do...
Great food, always fresh. Owners and workers are friendly.
The cashier was very rude, when I asked should I insert the card she would not respond. I asked again and she annoyingly told me I should read the instructions. I addressed the issue with Ramon the manager, he said her name was Kathryn, it took him a while to come up with it. Needless to say the rude cashier ruined the holiday shopping vibe for a neighbor.
Expensive but good quality and some hard to get items like genuine jamon iberico
Awful customer service. They have no manners and were very rude to us. If you’re in NYC you can shop somewhere else.
Great local brand with lots of new York character
Great selection of Italian specialties; top shelf meats & seafood...
Good place!!
Nice selection of precook food, clean and helpful staff.
Clean , fresh and friendly..I like it..
I like this market because it is right near my place and the right size for me.
Like that you get everything you need and everyone wants to help. Love this place

Do not get their baking. It is either too oily, dry, flavorless, or some unfortunate combination of the three. Expensive. But, at least most things are fresh. You can't get chanterelles anywhere else nearby if you live in the neighborhood, and their octopus is good. Why are there so many miserable looking employees here?!
Nice place
Very expensive even for the city (cheapest eggs 5.99) and terribly unfriendly and unresponsive staff. If this is how they act during the holiday season , I can’t imagine other times of year.
A gourmet grocery store with a wonderful counter to order food in the back. The burgers and Coke were wonderful and I found being surrounded by grocery shoppers quite amusing.
Se ubican excelentes.cosas
Good "high end" grocery store with deli, meat, and already prepared food areas. They also have a counter you can eat at inside that, despite the awkward in store location, serves up decent food.
Excellent quality prepared food, cheese, smoked fish etc. With the discount club makes prices ok
It feels like an European market, but in NYC
Good selection, expensive as hell
cheated at the checkout. обсчитывают на кассе как в глубинке постсоветского пространства. Качество не соответствует цене. Ходил кучу раз, искал плюсы, разочаровал. Еда холодная, а из ресторана на троечку. Но отношение в целом как повезет.
Really good meat products and Italian vibes. Very expensive for fruits and veggies...
Great prepared foods!
Lovely market. Had my favorite Brioche!

Always find what I need
You know what’s great about this place is their STAFF. The food is amazing and it’s always fresh quality hence why I shop here. But I’ve seen their staff get abused by these rude ENTITLED upper east side ladies (who by the way if you read a negative review it came from one of them.) I was just at the deli yesterday when a nice gentleman was helping a shopper who said one of the rudest things to him... I saw his face go ghost and he continued helping her with a smile. For managers reading this I want you to know your staff goes through a LOT with some of these women who live in my neighborhood. The next time one of your shoppers complain please don’t condone that kind of behavior. The customer is not always right. So what you lose one customer? Your quality of food will always keep you in business in my eyes. You have an AMAZING staff. They make it worth shopping at Graces because they deal with so much. GREAT JOB GRACES STAFF YOU DESERVE A RAISE FOR DEALING WITH THESE LADIES
Great selections, but, too expensive.
Very good well merchandised.
it's an awful market
There is a reason why markets like Grace's are always busy. The best produce... the best everything. Even after I moved out of the city... I still went into manhattan to shop for my food. You absolutely cannot find honest to goodness good groceries in Westchester. Most everthing is overpriced and relatively poor quality with a couple of exceptions. But never the same.
The selection is great but way over priced. A simple and rather small, I might add, mozzarella sandwich is $9.50. I share this just to expose the over charging as compared to other "high end" food shopping locations in the area. Also, the checkout staff behaves as if you're interrupting their tea time. Between walking away from their station without acknowledging those waiting and the lack of even a hello or even a bit of pep in their step speaks volumes. Terrible human services and overpriced nonsense. Better off going across the street to Gotham Cafe. At least the service is friendly.
If you like to eat home ....
One of the better supermarket. Great quality good service but strong prices. Great place to find special items
It's my job family oriented and friendly. Great service
This upscale grocery has superb fresh seafood, meat, & cheese depts. There's also an abundance of ready-made foods. (I've tried nearly everything!) Prices may be higher then your avg gourmet grocer — but Grace's carries items you wouldn't find elsewhere in the area. The abundance of offerings & specialties make this my favorite supermarket on the UES.
Whenever in Nyc I come here! Just good food and I love the service !
Love the prepared foods. Always a great selection. Fruits and vegetables are top notch!
excellent place
Great little market, comparable to Agatha's or a Zabar but smaller. Of note is dinner service at the counter available from 5 to closing. Rich comfort food made right front of you, be forewarned you'll never look at butter the same way. Were talking french nuvo american cuisine, from steak apouve to short rib aioli burgers, a small menu but delicious. What makes this place great though is the intimate counter service, where you'll no doubt chat up the person next to you. This is the sort of place locals know about and frequent, something about it feels very Upper East side, which youll either love or hate.
It's obviously nice but they have way too much of some things- like shelves and shelves of olive oil and cheese- and too little of other basics like snacks or cultural food. I was going to add a star because I didn't know they had wifi and they serve (really good) breakfast till 4, but then they pretty much kicked me out of the restaurant area in a not-very-nice way even though I ordered food and drinks! ! Plus they did the whole sarcastic "you're welcome" thing so. .. minus 1 star! ! For rudeness
My experience: don’t order food. Waited 1.5 hours and then called. I was met by a rude person who informed me they had tried to call (they didn’t). They then said they couldn’t refund me the money and I would have to call another service... basically, poor service. Never again. Don’t order from here.
Great food variety as well as a wonderful diner style food service area. Always a treat to go to Grace's. UPDATE:. I've been going to Grace's for months now and their quality and customer service remains outstanding. This place is like a more intimate Fairway. You won't be disappointed.
Great Marketplace. A lot of good cooked food. Everything is organized and very clean. I would recommend to shop from here.
Upscale grocer, great cheese selection. Delicious prepared foods. And a real butcher shop in back.
Amazing
Places like this are why NYC is expensive. Unfortunately you don't often get what you've paid for. Often have a decent local selection of bread. Added coffee and a lunch counter in their move to this location which I haven't tried. Coffee can be good.
Grace’s market is a big market includes deli. I like the variety of food but it is little bit overpriced in general. Vegetable and fruits are very fresh, totally worth the price. However, beware of their snack selections: some of snacks imported from Europe do not taste so fresh.
Delicious sandwich from there and excellent service
Quite expensive but with a great selection of high quality products. A big pro is their bakery corner, with a wide range of baked goods not easily found in regular grocery stores in the neighborhood. Positively surprised by their indoor restaurant counter with daily specials, must try one of these days! Overall pricey for everyday grocery but ideal for once in a while special shopping!

Gourmet. Lunch counter. Wow.
Excellent choice of healthy fresh food. Tills slow however
Great market. Super selection very helpful staff. They have lots of unusual things you can’t find everywhere in town.
Wow. Unparalleled in high prices and obnoxious elderly customers. In fact I'd say you're hard-pressed to find higher prices or meaner, more annoying elderly ladies which really keeps out the riff raff. May I live to be half as old as these customers or have retirement funds half as huge. 5 stars. Would shop again!
Deli Counter service need help.
If you wanna get a feeling of an old-style Italian marketplace, this is the ideal place to go! In Grace's you can find high-quality products, ranging from pastries and bakery goodies, to fresh home-made pasta and fish. Staff speak English, Spanish and even French and Italian, so it's great for tourists to go!
(Translated by Google) the food is good but bcp too expensive and the benefits of the staff are not up to the standing of the place (Original) la nourriture est bonne mais bcp trop chère et les prestations du personnel ne sont pas à la hauteur du standing du lieu
Es un lugar pequeño para conseguir un café o algún bocadillo bueno. Nice staff!
Great Market. They have everything! Fresh!

Great cupcakes!
I like their BBQ chickens
Isn't it delightful?.
Rebirth of Balducci's, the iconic West Village specialty market. Miss the original, but this is pretty close, if smaller. Great Italian specialties. Excellent pastries and bread. Very good vegetables, if expensive.
Grace's Marketplace catered an event at the church where I work. EVERYTHING was excellent! The food was delicious and plated beautifully. Mr. Rivera and staff were a delight to work with. The committee with whom I worked and our guests were all pleased!
Great selection always fresh. High quality. Discounts for seniors.
