This place is awesome. Best way to find thing are by yourself. Workers are to cramped trying to multitask and train each other. No professionalism. But other wise prices are great for the groceries. They also have snow crabs. They steam them and shrimps as well for the seafood eaters. Those who work in the area the also sell cooked food. Mini restaurant when you enter.

Wish I could give this place ZERO stars!! Just went here and the lady at the register and manager were horrendous. Only had my husband's card to pay for the groceries and of course it's like fort Knox in there. Called him via video chat so he could show these guardians of the golden groceries his ID but that still wasn't enough. It needn't be this hard to buy a few vegetables. Thank you, NEXT!! Won't be spending a single dollar more of my hard earned money at a place who can't accommodate their customers. Too many other options in JC for Extra to be acting like this.

I'm a frequent visitor of Extra Supermarket and I find this place the most suitable for purchasing grocery and other things. I love the way everything is so organized and well maintained. Moreover, the staff is always ready to help you find whatever you want. This probably serves as the top-most reason for me liking this place.

I'm probably never going to shop here again. Everytime I use my card here. My information always gets stolen. My bank calls me up to let me know that someone is trying to withdraw money from my account. On top of that the meat is never fresh. However, the only good thing about this supermarket is the car service. The car service here is impeccable. Yet the overall service from the supermarket is horrible.

One of my favorite stores to shop in, as they have foods and products from all over the world. Large and affordable produce selection with lots of harder to find produce such as bitter oranges, raw tumeric, aloe, star fruit, etc. Their meats are fresh and fairly priced. Also a great store for spiritual needs as I get many of my spiritual supplies from here as well. Very helpful staff, lots of fast cashiers, the store is brightly lit and clean, and they handle large crowds really well. I never spend a ridiculous amount of time online unless it's a holiday and even then never more than 10 minutes. Highly recommend as one of the best ethnic and multicultural grocers in town. It's a jewel in jersey city.

Neighbors have stoped shopping at this horrible place for tovery poor customer service , dirty place , chicken is always going bad 15 hrs after purchase as well as all other meats etc. Only Spanish speaking , employees , management always have attitude with customers etc. The worst place I've been. I don't know how this place is in operation because management must be replaced as well as some employees. This place is a be even before u get inside ....

Decent neighborhood supermarket that has all the basics and a few ethnic food additions that makes it a good place for a quick restock of your fridge and pantry. Not necessarily my go to spot for the best sales or best products. But they will definitely do in a pinch, for staples, and on occasion have amazing sales on my favorite Latin must-have's.

It's okay for quick shopping. Prices are high if you compare it to other supermarkets. The quality of steaks are iffy. You won't find any good cuts of steak. Chicken is abundant. No Perdue or Tyson branded products. Overall just go here if you're looking for soemthing small and quick.

This store is awful. They price gouge simply because they are one of the few supermarkets available in this urban neighborhood. It is a shame and a pity that they take advantage of the residents of the neighborhood who are not able to get to the bigger stores that offer better pricing, selections and fresh produce.

You can't bring the cart to your car. Bring someone with u to stand and watch your groceries while u go get ur car. The parking lot is very unorganized. Inside the store the meat prices are ok, some things are too expensive, they do have hot food in front of the store. Definitely needs more variety of ethnic foods. me this store is a little too right and congested. I don't like that ppl stand at the entrance or in the parking lot begging for change.

Oh my gosh I was paying for my grocery and a fight broke out, the useless security guard standing there while the kid mom is trying to pull the dudes off him. So scared something worst was gonna go down so glad I got my stuff and left. You never know what's going to happen at that damn place, guess you cant expect any better from the hood.

If you need something in a hurry that you can't get at the corner store (and because Shop-Rite is too far away), this is your place. But be prepared to take out a small loan, because they KNOW they're the only game in this part of town, their prices are ABSURDLY high! Items you can get at a chain supermarket are literally DOUBLE the price here! Highway robbery. Worse, it's located in the most unseemly, crime-ridden, ghetto areas in J.C. Don't be there when Daylight Savings Time ends!! Again, I only go there when absolutely necessary...then immediately get OUT.

I don't care for this supermarket they are expensive..the quality of the meats they sell is very poor ..the attitude of the cashier stink they will not even have the courtesy to say hi..seems like the customers are a bother to them with the exception of one ( the spanish lady always talk to the shoppers.very friendly and warm)and sales what can i say..you have to read the fine print in the logo..in other words is no sale..and to top it off you have to look at your product good that it has not expired or has mice holes

A lot of false advertisement come with going to the supermarket this is why I choose not to shop here unless it is a last minute Dyer choice and I really don't even Let It Go it's just a lot of false advertisement in this establishment and when you try to talk to management about their first advertisement is like they don't care it's like when you pull out the discrepancies this is what they're advertising and this is what you're supposed to be buying as far as an advertising it's like I don't care I am not hearing you as far as you're buying anyting no I'm not selling you this and it's not working for me as far as me going there I haven't been there in a year and a half and I'm not going to go back there anymore I cannot patronize a place that don't care about their customers

You have to be careful with everything you get here especially the meat and even the vegetables. They can do much better can do much better and the prices for certain things you can get your WIC from there. What about your regular customers I use to get WIC for my children year ago but the prices weren't doubled then either now you can't thing you would get before now that I'm on social security. GREED is what it's about now!
