Great place to shop and very convenient for the Meredith area. Staff are very friendly and the store has just about everything you need. Due to its location and no competition Meredith Hannafords is the most expensive store in the Hannafords chain. The store is very busy, it takes a good amount of time to checkout and it can be difficult to find a parking spot.Traveling East at times is almost impossible to get out of the parking lot. This only adds to traffic backups on the road and in the parking lot. During high demand periods police are hired to direct traffic. This adds to long traffic lines entering Meredith on route 25. Add to this problem the school on route 25 is also using Police to direct traffic. I would strongly suggest avoiding this area from 2:30 - 4:00 PM. Especially when school is in session and everyday during the summer.

Parking lot and entrance/exit are absolutely horrible, prices are sky high compared to hannaford's one town over? We now drive to the other hannaford's because it's worth the drive, the bakery goods are done better at other stores just by looking at them you can tell the difference? I'm giving one star because it doesn't go any lower

Too crowded, the result of not enough competition in town. Parking lot is jammed if you can get through the traffic on rte 25. The aisles are constantly blocked because they are stocking during peak shopping hours. Instead of bringing one pallet at a time to stock, they will line half an aisle with stuff waiting to be stocked. I witness two stockers chatting taking a break from their duties. One noticed an elderly woman trying to access something behind one of the pallets. He was nice enough to tell her that the load was on wheels so she could move it if she wanted to. I hope Market Basket comes to town.

This Hannafords on Bicentennial was so chaotic and cluttered. The parking lot has no painted lines so everyone parks however they want. The confusion continues inside. There appears to be no rhyme or reason as to how the set the floor design. Very oddball mixture of items. The saving grace was the two ladies at the cash register. They were both awesome.

It's a typical grocery store. Prices are average. Deli is ok, bakery stuff is average. I bought gold birthday cake which is below my expectation. cake was dry, cream was too sweet. I also bought a small velvet cake which was terrible. Cake was completely dried out, no taste, cream was too sweet. There was very limited hot stuff food. Most were not hot, you had to warm up yourself. It's a ok store.

Everything is expensive. Everything. Pharmacy is great and strangely enough, comparable to Walmart's prices. I would shop around before buying something here. I always end up buying some weirdo ingredient I need here because I can't find it in any other stores. Produce not worth the price. Store brands are pricier than usual. Later hours than anyone else, a salad bar and kitchen, and a great deli selection. If you need a hard-to-find spice, gluten free or vegan ingredients, holistic medicines, and the like, it's a great place to find stuff. Better in that way than Trader Joe's or Amarket, even. But it is all marked up.

Cooked Chickens are dried up upon opening. The white meat is inedible after one day in the fridge. Wallmart cooked chickens are ten times better and not overcooked. Do not buy and Cooked Chickens at Hannafords!!

Suggest staying away on Saturday as everyone is leaving from their vacation and traffic is a nightmare. Don't go on Sunday because everyone who just started their vacation is doing their shooping. I usually shop on Sunday's. Have been a Hannaford's customer for 25+ years. Produce has been mediocre the last year or so, and getting worse. Yesterday, I did not check carefully enough and arrived home with a bag of black seedless grapes in which, literally, every grape was either old and shriveled, or growing mold, or both. It's an inconvenience, but I'm thinking I need to split my shopping up among 2-3 different stores based on what they are good at.

Clean and well staffed supermarket. Not quite a (super)market as it is a tad smaller than an average hannafords. However the employees and managers do a good job and are very polite. Great selection for a smaller store. Has a deli, pharmacy and fresh fruit and vegetables. Only negative I can say is the parking and human "traffic" during the summer is insane to say the least.

We generally have a great experience here. The manager Rich is always friendly and stops to say hi, asks how we're doing. I gave only 3 stars because tonight, the man working in the deli REFUSED to slice our cheese fresh. He said we had to get a package of the pre sliced. My husband told him he'd prefer it sliced fresh and asked him to do so and the man working there said no, he wouldn't do it. Very poor customer service. We spend quite a bit of money here, weekly. We should be able to get items sliced at the deli. That is what it's for, correct?

It's a not-to-bad grocery store for its size. It's not a massive store, but it has lots of interesting things, including frozen White Castle cheeseburgers!! Check out the NH kettle popcorn in the overstuffed bags. Lots if specialty beers. If it had 4000 more square feet, I would have given 5 stars.

The only real supermarket in town for miles. Hannaford has all your needs. It's a clean and well maintained store. Unfortunately. It's along the main road between Meredith & Center Harbor, so traffic and people are everywhere.... Especially during tourist season. But it's your best bet if you live or vacation in the area. The only other market that is close is a tiny independent market with sky-high prices and not much for space.

So disappointed with this store. There are specific items I buy here on a regular basis (plant based) and almost every single one has been discontinued over the years. Some of which I know others are buying because the shelves are being emptied weekly with shoppers purchasing. Guess I have to start shopping at Walmart they always have my grocery items in stock don't think there has been one discontinued plus they are consistently adding more items that work with my plant based lifestyle.

I have been shopping here for well OVER 20 years, when it was known as Alexander's Supermarket. It has gone through many changes, through the years (who hasn't..?), but I prefer doing my weekly food shopping here, rather than their competition. I especially like their Fresh Produce and Fresh Meat Departments. Barring sales and specials (comparably speaking), their prices are better than Shaw's and Market Basket.

It's a nice store and very clean. Didn't find the staff very friendly and the lady bag in my groceries through Soft Stuff on the bottom and heavy stuff on top of it.

Its a good store. Very clean. Good products. People are generally very helpful. Prices are high. My only alternative is In what I consider a dangerous neighborhood. So here I am. By the way, there is ample parking and a decent yet pricey salad bar. Judging by the price, I had no idea they had gourmet road salt.

Busy place but things move along quickly

Not too big, not too crowded, easy to find what you need. The problem I have with this place is the self check out. They do not put an employee around to help when your check out machine fails, which happens a lot unfortunately. Then you're sitting there trying to get someones attention while they are busy with other customers. I've complained and the staff just says that management doesn't staff the self checkout area so it's a lose lose situation.

MY FAVORITE HANNAFORD!! I only shop here. The store is organized, clean, well stocked and the produce is great. I love that they have a separate natural foods section and freezer. That way I don't have hunt for gluten free options Other Hannaford stores in the city have begun to integrate the natural /gluten free options into the regular isles. That just makes things difficult. The deli staff are friendly and efficient. The butchers are knowledgeable and they always have something interesting and different in the case. The pharmacy is just awesome. The pharmacist provides excellent customer service and will do what ever needs to be done to get you your prescriptions and the lowest co-pay possible. The pharmacy assistants recognize you and know you by name. Lynn is by far my favorite, she is very experienced and has always been friendly warm and helpful, give her a raise!!!!!!! **disclaimer- I am NOT related to Lynn in anyway or even a friend** I am just a customer who appreciates her personal touch. I think excellent service should be rewarded!!

Not stocked so well nor organized: it was difficult finding spices because it's just crammed in there. Though, they did have things I needed and the staff was helpful. Manager even pitched in to help me find what I was looking for when staff was short.

Good-sized store with lots of choices! My boyfriend and I went shopping here for the first time today and bought some artisan bread. It was SO soft. The woman at the register rang up my items faster than anyone I've ever seen before. The man helping her bag was called to the customer service desk, and a manager immediately took his place. Unfortunately, two or three small produce items were left on the counter/had fallen onto the ground, and no one noticed (although not even us, until we got home).

Hey it's a grocery store what do you really expect?? The Bedford NH location is the nicest it also proves they don't care about the other stores quite as much. Just look at the produce and fresh items compared to Hanover street. They should be VERY embarrassed by many store locations. Bedford is the best BY FAR!

Clean city food store. Staff, if you can find one on the floor are helpful. The words " Bakery Fresh" Needs to be replaced with Freshly Frozen. Pretty bad when you pickup a freshly baked loaf of bread that's so frozen...priced way to high for what I'm buying and who knows how fresh it really is!!

I was visiting from out of state and wanted to purchase alcohol. It took 10 minutes to checkout because they suspected our ID was fake. It simply was not handled very well and was very accusatory. The overall atmosphere of this store was just not friendly. I won't be back when I'm in the area next.
